Well, I'm enjoying this, but I get the voyeurism point from episode 1.
I think it is different in a tv programme to know up front who the killer is and get to have an understanding of his life, his family, and get that perspective.
I'm from NI so when the suspect said "I know where you live" I fully expected him to get shot, and unfortunately here that has happened too many times in front of family. Tbh, I thought it a bit of a cliche that they showed the boy looking out the window cos I thought oh he's going to get shot now.
I'm not sure they are bringing children into it so much as saying this killer is a family man, someone none of us would have second thoughts of. More a reminder that the 30 year old solicitor was once someone's baby and that the wife has a very commendable and stressful job. But she cant regulate her husband can she? Shes not responsible. she thinks he's working in a support role too.
For me, it's saying you don't really know anyone, and I'm finding it fascinating.
If this were a book, I wouldn't be able to put it down. I can't wait for next week. The parallels drawn between the wife struggling to bring people into the world and the husband callously though almost lovingly killing them are really drawing me in.
It must be to do with the husband and wife relationship and I have no idea where it's going to go. Roll on next Monday.
