You watch Easties?

I am wondering at the moment, is it "too adult" in a depressing way? There seems to be a lot of such themes recently, drug addiction, alcoholism, abortion: I'm wondering whether I should watch it with my son, aged 10, anymore?. All the "pillhead" stuff, etc. Similarly with the teenage girl (forget her name - is it Lauren?) with a drink problem?

p.s. I do like Sharon though as an actress, a bit of a trouper. Though she is rather getting through the men. She's lived with at least 3 since her little boy was born: the father, Jack, and now Phil. But she plays an somewhat interesting character somehow.

I wish there was a bit more humour in it right now, and less soggy and unconvincing 'romances'.

Why is Tanya such a wimpy, useless mum. Why is Max such a pig (the clinic incident)? How come everyone is now living at the B&B? No room for visitors, half the Sqaure are holed up there.
No-one ever looks for a job outside the Square despite living a few miles from central London.

Lauren is vastly annoying and whiney. Lucy is too, but sometimes, just sometimes, I think she has a point about Lauren.

What's with all the addictions? Lauren and alcoholism (and Phil of course), Sharon and drugs and now Alice with shoplifting!

Does Janine actually think she can fill the club every night with "the pink pound"? As far as I can see of the three people that were gay and on the square one is inside (ben) and the other 2 have moved away (christian and masood's son), does walford have a massive underground gay/bi/transexual demographic.
On the other hand finding blokes who like football and "getting hammered" is probably like shooting fish in a barrell.

Yes yes. Lauren is totally vile. Spoilt brat. What has happened to her that is so bad? Lots of kids have difficult lives but with Lauren it's been sulk whine sulk for years. And tanya does her usual clippity clop acting of hiding every crisis ( acting badly with the eyes). Can we please get rid of the brannings. It's the same storylines again and again. Max having an affair, Tanya talking to her kids like they're morons, Lauren being a loon, Abby being miss perfect.

And what's happened to Sharon's half share of the club? Phil gave her shares a few months ago. Now she acts like she's just a worker. Poppy gets on my nerves too. Just pointless. As is Tyler. And when is the Kirsty story ending. Surely max should know she's not pg by now!

Why is Alice nicking stuff? I get that she's upset about the Janine/Michael situation but I've never heard of someone turning to shoplifting to console themselves!

LOL Brennie - I got the impression it's her trying to maintain some control over her life as she's stuck between Janine and Michael. How old is she? It's a bit teenagery.
