Why is she flat on her back? Are they trying for the absolute opposite of what she wanted?

Has she had pethedine? Looks like it.

eagleray you're so sweet to have remembered :) HB hopes went out the window, had an awful medicalised birth, I'm still very upset about it but try to focus on the lovely DS we walked out of the hospital with. There's always next time, right?

Good luck with yours - how many weeks are you? How exciting Grin

I like the way they have tried so hard to support her, even though she hasn't had the experience she wanted

She looks spaced doesn't she bless her, really feel for her.

7 years ago today I was 2 days overdue, homebirths kit all ready, she took another 10 days to appear, 2 hour labour, gas and air in my bed, DD1 was asleep next door, had a baby, had a shower, got back in my clean bed, had a cuddle with DP and DD2, then DD1 came in too. Loved my homebirths

After them going on about active labour in program 1 & 2 it all seems to have been forgotten this week.

Did anyone do perineal massage and find it helpful?? I was talking about it in my yoga class the other night.

Aw. Do you think she'd like to come and live with me? I'd look after her.

pegster I agree. Do they have a birthing pool at this hospital.

Rupert is gorgeous. Smile

Orenishii - 'tis a strange talent I have for remembering detailed information about things like your birth (when I have never met you) and yet today I managed to forget my notes TWICE when going to appts Blush

Of course you have next time, and hopefully the memories of this birth will fade.

I'm 39+5 and aged 41 so a fair bit of pressure to have an induction before too long. Taking each day as it comes, trying to stay focused but relaxed, and have already made friends with Mr Stretch and Mr Sweep

Lovely to see that Sasha has her gorgeous baby now Smile

I did it with DD1 (the perineal massage) she came out with her hand up by her ear and tore me badly. Funnily enough DD2 who came along 18 months later and 3lbs later did no damage whatsoever.

StarlightMcKenzie · 16/01/2013 21:54

Blimey. Inductions are crap aren't they.

Report
pegster · 16/01/2013 21:54

This is looking strangely familiar - induction, decelerations, forced to remain in left lateral recumbency....

StarlightMcKenzie · 16/01/2013 21:56
