I am NOT liking this attitude of "you couldn't tell what age the girls were". As if.

I think all this stuff goes to show that famous/high profile men being into very young girls wasn't anything new then... that's the real reason these men didn't react that much

So these blokes were all scared of him, basically. A combination of his celebrity and his being physically intimidating. It's horrible seeing them sitting there being so dispassionate about it but you can't blame them for being scared.

Dreams Hislop and Merton are reputed to have laid into him on unscreened footage on Have I Got News For You a few years ago. Hislop has a long memory.
