It looks as though it will be interesting this week.
I hope this week's people are more appealing than those from last week though!

Lexilicious · 17/10/2012 21:06

I like them already.

Jellykat · 17/10/2012 21:06

Wow, am watching..anyone else?

Now that is one helluva building!! Shock

OlaRapaceFru · 17/10/2012 21:11

They're great - so positive and enthusiastic.

Wow - what a building!

Lexilicious · 17/10/2012 21:16

oh I want it to work, I really do...!

Ouchdownthere · 17/10/2012 21:18

He used to be my landlord. Does that mean I have helped fund it and therefore I can claim it as a bit mine?

Jellykat · 17/10/2012 21:20

Oo wow! Ouch.. was he as nice as he comes across here?

nilbyname · 17/10/2012 21:21

anyone watching tonight??

megcleary · 17/10/2012 21:21

Hope it gets finished

MousyMouse · 17/10/2012 21:23

it's a watertower!

Ouchdownthere · 17/10/2012 21:23

He was I am pleased to say. He was also very kind and allowed me to live in a gorgeous flat for half rent when my flat mate moved out and he put the place on the market at the same time.

Hope this works.

MousyMouse · 17/10/2012 21:24

I'm seeing it all a bit fuzzy, have developed a spot where my glasses shold sit...

TheAngelshavetheOod · 17/10/2012 21:25

We recently had scaffolding and I keep looking at theirs and thinking how much it must cost as ours was ridiculous for 4 floors worth!

MousyMouse · 17/10/2012 21:26

they gave a figure of 35ooo for the scaffold alone.

OP posts:
MousyMouse · 17/10/2012 21:27

I'm getting dizzy just looking at the guys high up on the unfinished floors...

OP posts:
Jellykat · 17/10/2012 21:28

That's nice to hear Ouch..
Knowing that, i doubly hope he gets it done in time - before the lending of the surrounding access runs out.

MousyMouse · 17/10/2012 21:30

35000 PER WEEK for the scaffold

OP posts:
Lexilicious · 17/10/2012 21:30

ooh, I know what happens next. The dry spring ends and then comes the rain...

Jellykat · 17/10/2012 21:31

I know the walls are 6 ft wide in some places, but i'm sure i'd feel a bit vulnerable sleeping on the top floor, its a tower after all..
What floors' the loo on? Confused

nilbyname · 17/10/2012 21:32

I wish I could build and spend like that and be like "yes money is worrying"....well not that much if you are spunking £35k on bloody scaffolding and if a "mate" is fronting you £500,000!!

How the other half live!

OlaRapaceFru · 17/10/2012 21:34

No, I don't think he said £35K per week for the scaffold.
I think he said £35K per week for all the works that were being done by everyone.

Nevertheless, scary sums of money - especially if he thinks he's going to run out soon.

RedBlanket · 17/10/2012 21:34

Wtf, it's a water tower!

Where do you find mates who can lend you half a million?

LittleBairn · 17/10/2012 21:36

Lol red I was thinking the same where do they find those sorts of friends and how ons earth do you ask someone to borrow half a mil...I'd be embarresed to borrow a fiver!

I really hope they pull it off, that it doesn't make them crumble.

nilbyname · 17/10/2012 21:36

red I have no idea, but do let me know when you find one and make the introductions!

sailorsgal · 17/10/2012 21:37

It will cost a fortune to get the window cleaner in! Grin
