My painter worked on one in late 2010 that must be in this series. If it ended up becoming a programme at all of course. I wonder if they have projects they never end up showing? Anyway it was some no expense spared nouveau riche thing in Essex.

Fugly

last week were 2 women building a really nice small practical house in a beautiful landscaped garden. can't find it on the website, though.

It is one of the worst builds I've ever seen on GD. Like a factory but minus the atmosphere.

AWFUL. Grey, soulless. Which is everything art shouldn't be. So, no, I can't even admire it for its artistic merits, never mind whether it's to my own particular taste. Yuck, I hate it.

Maud, you should have gone to Open House at the weekend. We nosied round the inside. It was stark and horrible. It's like being inside one of those cardboard plans architects make.

Whereas there is a gorgeous self build eco house next to it which is being quite meticulously not shown or mentioned.

Ah, we missed Open House this year. Just as well as it makes me want to demolish my own house.

Everyone on Grand Designs gets pregnant - FACT. I think I should actually fuck all this fertility clinic stuff and just build a Grand Design with Kevin visiting every so often.

It was AWFUL and they were so lucky the end was filmed on such a beautiful day because in normal grey rainy shite it will look so depressing.
