MousyMouse · 26/09/2012 21:56

it looks unfinished.

OP posts:
KatzGold · 26/09/2012 21:57

Yuck, missed the beginning. How on earth did they planning permission?

smugmumofboys · 26/09/2012 21:59

That's surely a freight container on the roof?

It's fugly and makes me feel anxious. I love clutter and colour.

MousyMouse · 26/09/2012 21:59

look at me I'm a giant icecube

Aboutlastnight · 26/09/2012 21:59

It's fucking horrible.

kellestar · 26/09/2012 22:00

Ooo can't wait for next weeks! Looks like the claws are out :)

Lexilicious · 26/09/2012 22:01

Why can't I find last week's on 4od?

iklboo · 26/09/2012 22:01

It's awful. It doesn't look like a home. It's an ego piece.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 26/09/2012 22:01

It's near me. Must go and snoop consider its architectural merits from close quarters.

SomeoneThatYouUsedToKnow · 26/09/2012 22:02

That is one ugly house. I can't believe it got planning permission.

I wonder what it will look like in 5 years time??

NickyNackyNooNoo · 26/09/2012 22:02

Hate clutter but love colour, in my opinion they're too try hardy with the minamalistic junction shit & that is a technical phrase Wink

Lexilicious · 26/09/2012 22:04

My painter worked on one in late 2010 that must be in this series. If it ended up becoming a programme at all of course. I wonder if they have projects they never end up showing? Anyway it was some no expense spared nouveau riche thing in Essex.

ICouldBeYou · 26/09/2012 22:08

Clearly minimalism didn't stretch to their HAIR!

Jesus!

ICouldBeYou · 26/09/2012 22:09

(obviously I had well-developed and informed views about their houses too) Blush

Fugly Grin

MousyMouse · 26/09/2012 22:10

last week were 2 women building a really nice small practical house in a beautiful landscaped garden. can't find it on the website, though.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 26/09/2012 22:11

It is one of the worst builds I've ever seen on GD. Like a factory but minus the atmosphere.

AWFUL. Grey, soulless. Which is everything art shouldn't be. So, no, I can't even admire it for its artistic merits, never mind whether it's to my own particular taste. Yuck, I hate it.

Loved how uncomfortable they looked on the
Loungers on their "roof terrace".

Arkady · 26/09/2012 22:13

Maud, you should have gone to Open House at the weekend. We nosied round the inside. It was stark and horrible. It's like being inside one of those cardboard plans architects make.

Whereas there is a gorgeous self build eco house next to it which is being quite meticulously not shown or mentioned.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 26/09/2012 22:16

Ah, we missed Open House this year. Just as well as it makes me want to demolish my own house.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 26/09/2012 22:19

Everyone on Grand Designs gets pregnant - FACT. I think I should actually fuck all this fertility clinic stuff and just build a Grand Design with Kevin visiting every so often.

PhoebeBurbabee · 26/09/2012 22:27

He is one of the loveliest men you could meet. So it's not to your taste, doesn't mean it's crap. No I'm not Mary!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 26/09/2012 22:45

Arf at the notion that KMcC is so potent that all ladies within a five mile zone fall pregnant.

Phoebe - That may be so, but some things are so ugly that they are not subjectively ugly. They simply are ugly.

out2lunch · 26/09/2012 23:10

truly hideous

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 27/09/2012 01:58

It was AWFUL and they were so lucky the end was filmed on such a beautiful day because in normal grey rainy shite it will look so depressing.

sleeplessinsuburbia · 27/09/2012 02:35

Link please!! I need to see this!

MousyMouse · 27/09/2012 09:28

have asked why last weeks episode is not on their site...
