are there (almost) never polish builders shown?

Awful house, looks like some of the monstrosities we have built round here.

I've put my finger on it, it looks like a very blingy mobile home.

I always want to know how these people afford these builds.

DH has called it a pile of mobile homes on top of each other.

She is just so arrogant. The design is really ugly. There are loads of new buildings around Henley that are attractive and architecturally interesting. The two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

She reminds me of Le Brick!

Mobile home is spot on. They should have built it in Swiss Farm and it would have fitted in perfectly!

I loved that house. Really nice details, loved the tiles and the curves inside and the views outside. Would be horrible to live somewhere where people hope you flood though.

we watched without sound so i missed the smugNess. What was the weird disco boat room that only had a telly and no furniture for? Why were there so many plug sockets? I liked the wooden floor and the tiles but it was a poky little plot really.

For a pokey wee caravan-esque house it cost:

£1.15million in building costs
££££ in whatever the original house cost.
£££ for knocking down original house.

We had to watch this week - H knows someone who knows Vince Hill and apparently the neighbourhood have been fighting this build for ages.

Sometimes afterwards you go "ah actually I GET it now" when something beautiful is created at the end but this time I thought they obviously had too much money, no taste and were actually not particularly likeable people.

Quite amazed they were allowed to build RIGHT up to the boundry - we live in the same area and were made to change our plans as the rule is AT LEAST half a metre from the boundry....just goes to show money talks doesnt it!

We live in RBWM and had could only build up to a metre from the boundary. Didn't Vince Hill move?

Sounds like your planning is the same bisjo at the time it seemed nit picking to me as we werent going RIGHT to the boundry but the Grand Designs build was so close it was intrusive
