Just watching now on Sky +

I only recognise 2 of the so called celebs.

Ewwwwwwwwwww. Now Gregg is single again, maybe he's making a move on Baker?

Making his mind up

Sorry, couldn't resist. Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 07/09/2012 13:18

Is he really? I was just reading an article about him (maybe last year) about how he's got married (to Heidi?) and Jonty Rhodes (Wink) was there saying 'oh this one's different, Gregg is smitten' etc. I thought they only got married last year? I was led to believe he was a bit of a plaaaay-er before that?

I shall be doubly watching for signs of flirting with The Baker now!

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 07/09/2012 14:21

Wallace met his third wife Heidi, a Cumbrian teacher who is 17 years his junior, in 2009 after she asked him a question about celery on Twitter. Giving up her job as a biology teacher at Ullswater Community College in Penrith, the couple married in 2010. They are presently separated, with Wallace living in the flat above his restaurant in London, while his wife lives with his two children and her two dogs at the family home in Whitstable, Kent

If it's on Wiki, it must be true Wink

Biscuitsandtea · 07/09/2012 16:07

Perhaps that's why Zoe looks so tearful? She's perhaps scared he's after her to e the 4th Mrs Wallace?

Anyone else's kids been watching this? I've got it on the planner and had it on whilst giving the baby his bedtime bottle and the other two have sneaked in to watch. I've since caught them 'critiquing' the meals I serve up pretending to be John and Gregg Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 13/09/2012 11:14

Now, I didn't anticipate those two going yesterday. I reckon it's Danny that'll win.

theliverpoolone · 13/09/2012 13:42

Yes, Danny's good isnt he. Funny how sports people turn out to be such good cooks - last year's winner, rugby player Phil Vickery, was fab. I think Michael is the only one who could beat Danny, although G&J do seem to favour like Emma.

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 14/09/2012 10:47

I reckon it will be Danny too. He has that look in his eyes...like 'you can't beat me'.

KurriKurri · 17/09/2012 19:19

Did anyone watch tonight? Why on earth did they film that vat of hot custard wobbling on the edge and then falling - why wouldn't someone shout 'watch out'? It was inches away from a really horrible accident if it had gone all over Michael's back.

Bilbobagginstummy · 17/09/2012 20:32

I did - thought Emma was fab and in control.

Biscuitsandtea · 20/09/2012 07:16

Kurri I thought that! I'm running behind so only watched it yesterday but was a bit Hmm about no one saying anything! And also no one seemed to ask Michael if he was ok Hmm. Agree that Emma looked in control but I'm sure my first reaction would have been 'Oh my goodness, are you ok?' especially when he said it was hot!

Bilbobagginstummy · 20/09/2012 07:38

Look away now if you haven't watched yesterday's, but it seemed really obvious to me that that was filmed before the top-chef-cake-thing the day before.

All those comments to Michael about his pastry chef abilities - and none about his top-chef-cake not quite going right.

iklboo · 20/09/2012 20:06

Ah the Michelin Restaurant test

'Today you will be cooking flim avec flam, served on a bed of phlegm. With a gnat's chuff fricasee et un jus de la wank sock'

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 21/09/2012 14:29

My bet is the football guy wins.

theliverpoolone · 21/09/2012 21:22

Football guy should have won - he was consistently the best in every task. John and Gregg always do this - make it really obvious they have a favourite (the blonde smiley woman - remember Lisa Faulkner?) then ooh, what a surprise, she wins! Danny was robbed Grin

Bilbobagginstummy · 21/09/2012 21:40

If Danny's main had been as good as his other 2 courses he would have walked it.

Makes you wonder what the point is of the other 4 days of the final, though, when they make no difference to the outcome. As you said, Danny was consistently the best performer all week - and only a tiny bit behind on today's.

Must look up Emma Kennedy and see why she is supposedly a celebrity.

theliverpoolone · 21/09/2012 22:25

I dont believe his main was weak, I think they wanted Emma to win so tried to find something they (John) could criticise. Emma apparently wrote a book about going on caravan holidays as a child...Hmm

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 22/09/2012 07:43

He was robbed! Did you see all their faces? Not one of them could believe Emma was the winner.

At least Masterchef the Professionals is on in November.

Brugmansia · 22/09/2012 08:29

I thought Emma was the right winner. Danny was good and solid throughout but rarely really brilliant. Emma progressed massively and seemed to have a previously untapped flare and was more imaginative.
