Just watching now on Sky +

I only recognise 2 of the so called celebs.

Bilbo I agree, she was robbed! I liked it when she turned to Diarmund and said "I'm surprised YOU'RE still in". Grin

I bet that Rebecca and Michael go through. I don't think Rebecca has done enough wrong (yet) to get ditched.

I love it but rebecca a misery

MsNobodyAgain · 30/08/2012 12:42

I agree. She is taking it far too seriously. She needs to crack a smile. She can borrow this one - - - > Smile

Right, now, I am only up to Wednesday but didn't Mr Gardener man say in day 1 he'd never been in a kitchen since he gave up his job in a professional kitchen? Or at least that's what the voice over person said, which is presumably based on info provided by the contestants?

Yet by day 3 he is talking about the 'tagine he usually makes' where he really massages the spices in and leaves it overnight Hmm. Yet he never goes in the kitchen? my arse

LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 02/09/2012 22:14

He really is an arse. I only just saw Fridays today but I won't spoil it by saying what happens. :)

LF must have had some work on for once though because she wasn't a judge.

Biscuitsandtea · 02/09/2012 22:42

Perhaps she'd watched them cook the first 4 days and didn't fancy it Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 03/09/2012 21:39

I'm still watching last Friday's (with a mahoosive pile of ironing - yawn) but just read the description for today's on the sky planner. Cheryl Baker? Didn't she have a renowned children's cookery show called Eggs n Baker? Surely this qualifies her as a professional HmmGrin

Oh feck - they're introducing the celeb meal-tasters. Vickery? Fine. Him put of Hollyoaks? Fine. Christine fecking Hamilton? No. No. No. She's known for being a 'media personality' as her tag line. Whatever (said with my bestest impression of teenage attitude)

Biscuitsandtea · 03/09/2012 22:03

Can we recap who's in the last 8 so far with M and R from last week?

Answers on a postcard..... I can't remember anyone! Blush

Biscuitsandtea · 03/09/2012 22:11

Right, apologies for thread-hogging this evening but am having a major catch up.

I thought I would share with you my first thoughts on this week's contestants. These are based on their first sentences as they walk round that corner and are introduced.

Zoe - what a lot of hair. I'm actually wondering how long it must take to dry it and where she finds the time. Also, is it compulsory to go on celeb Masterchef after one has been on Dancing on Ice? Michael Underwood, Zoe Salmon, Andi Peters, numerous others no doubt.

Richard - Is this Dick of Dick and Dom fame? Presumably he only needs to be Dick if Dom is there? See above re Dancing on Ice too. How bad must Dom be at cooking to not be allowed on too?

Cheryl Baker - I just want her to be rubbish because she had a tv show on cooking and everything Grin

Danny Mills - surprisingly can string a sentence together eloquent for a footballer?

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 03/09/2012 23:09

Oh, have lots of comments but I am slightly squiffy as it is my birhday. :

Bed for me. X

Biscuitsandtea · 03/09/2012 23:14

Happy birthday!

ThanksWine

Brugmansia · 03/09/2012 23:26

Today's was fantastic. I was choking with laughter during the invention test and brilliant comments from Greg and John. Olives and garam masala!

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 04/09/2012 07:24

Morning! Thanks Buiscuts. X

Gregg was on form. At one point he laughed like Blakey from 'On the Buses'.

The invention test was hard. Who cooks cuttlefish?!

I had no idea who Zoe, Richard, or Simon were. Makes sense that Zoe was a Blue Peter presenter though. All hair and teeth.

I liked Cheryl and Danny. Zoe is too pretty, lol. Dick is just a dick and he should go first. He is so bad, it is not even funny.

Biscuitsandtea · 04/09/2012 08:29

Agree that dick should jog on - he can go on Wed thank you very much. Zoe is either way too self deprecating in a sort of false way ('oh what? It's nice? Oh I totally never expected that.... I can't believe little old me managed to cook something nice) or is going to turn out to be actually quite nice and one of those people that you'd like to dislike for being too perfect but then there isn't really anything to dislike.

I can't decide which way she's going yet.....

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 04/09/2012 08:33

She's going down the self-deprecating route. And I dislike her intensely because she is younger and prettier than me Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 04/09/2012 21:47

Just starting tonight's episode. Surely in the split of the teams. Zoe and Danby have this sown up vs Dick n Baker?

I want a job at Google - the office looks cool.

iklboo · 04/09/2012 22:02

Wasn't Dick n Baker the dog in Due South? Oh, wait. Diefenbaker, that was it Grin.

Biscuitsandtea · 04/09/2012 22:03

Grin ikiboo

I'm laughing at how it-geeky the employees look Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 04/09/2012 22:04

Actually the blokes look like IT geeks. The women look like the cast of hollyoaks Hmm

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 04/09/2012 22:40

Dick redeemed himself a bit but I still think he'll be leaving tomorrow.

They seem to have a bit of a soft spot for Cheryl so I'll be surprised if she goes. I think they love the puns too much "have you made your mind up yet", etc, etc.

Biscuitsandtea · 05/09/2012 21:11

Danny all of sudden looks very competitive about everything. Perhaps Rebecca Romero could lend him a smile while she doesn't need it this week?

Biscuitsandtea · 07/09/2012 09:46

Oh no! The moustache is back as one of the judges tomorrow..... Confused

TwelveLeggedWalk · 07/09/2012 09:48

Ah, I'm a few behind - watching on iPlayer when they don't keep disappeaering - and I was howling with laughter at Cheryl trying to stick a lit match up inside a bottle of Grand Marnier like a Molotov cocktail. Grin

MsNobodyIsOrangeAgain · 07/09/2012 09:59

Biscuits that bloke makes me feel slightly ill. He reminds me of a walrus.

Twelve Cheryl made me snigger to. I was thinking there should have been a voiceover saying "don't try this at home".

Football fella is bound to go through, and probably Cheryl I think. Zoe is annoying me. Cry baby. IT'S FOOD, FGS!! Not the end of the bloody world

Biscuitsandtea · 07/09/2012 12:53

Definitely re moustache man - ergh! And I think they're eating some sort of soup thing. With a moustache.

Agree that Danny has to go through, and probs Cheryl too unless she buggers it up big style tonight. They do seem to love a bit of Baker. I bet Gregg had Bucks Fizz posters up in his bedroom when he was a boy.......
