Just watching now on Sky +

I only recognise 2 of the so called celebs.

Yes yes yes - a travesty!!!!

I mean I'd be a bit Sad to be short changed on my mash (I do love mash) but still......

MsNobodyAgain · 23/08/2012 18:28

Watched last nights. Wtf?
George has been a crap cook and messed up mashed potato twice. How do you get mash wrong?

I agree that they had it in for GG. They probably envy his youth!

Biscuitsandtea · 23/08/2012 18:48

ALSO George said he'd spent loads on books on presentation and then his tart tatin doodah thing still looked like my 3yo DS1 had served it. With the help of 5 month DS2.

Travesty.

Biscuitsandtea · 23/08/2012 20:41

Oh George Sad

GG wouldn't be making such a mess of this.

tries to stifle an adolescent giggle about the chef saying he's been tossing for many years fnar fnar Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 23/08/2012 21:53

Lol, Biscuits. I did have a little snigger at that myself.

George seems ever so slightly mad.

The Lalya woman (I may have her name wrong AGAIN) is desperate to win. I like the blond woman but can't see her going through tbh.

Right decision tonight in my opinion.

I recognise 2 of the 4 'celebs' that are going to be on next week. Woo-hoo! I bet Jenny Eclair is just a knob though.

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 25/08/2012 10:12

Haven't caught up on last night's yet - might have to force DH to sit through it or I'll never get a chance.

theliverpoolone · 25/08/2012 15:06

biscuits, my dd (5) now says its her favourite progamme, and watches every night with me Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 27/08/2012 21:43

Ok, I'm now catching up on Friday's. Does LF have nothing better to do than hang around for free food? I would be totally the same as her if I was in that position

MsNobodyAgain · 28/08/2012 12:28

I thought the same about LF. If she is on this weeks, she is completely on a career break or just likes food. She comes across as very nice though.

I recognise 2 of the 4 of this weeks bunch.

I haven't watched last night's yet - I spotted Jenny Eclair and on of the blokes looked familiar but couldn't place him. One woman I didn't recognise but decided she looked like a journalist or something and I can't remember the other person at all!

TheWave · 28/08/2012 19:00

Saw them being given brain to cook yesterday, but surprise surprise noone chose to do it!

At chessington today.Still doesn't look that appetising tbh.

MsNobodyAgain · 28/08/2012 22:11

Biscuits the bloke I recognised was that annoying gardener bloke, Diarmund somethingorother. Don't like him at all.

Todays episode was quite fun to watch. A lot of running, shouting and sweating. I have warmed to Jenny Eclair a bit.

Ok, do I win a prize for recognising 2 and 2 halves of the people on this week? Jenny Eclair I recognise (I quite like her when she's been on The Apprentice You're Fired) and Michael Underwood was terrible on Dancing on Ice a few years ago. Rebecca Romero I know of but wouldn't have been able to pick her out of a line up (she is an amazing cyclist and am I right in thinking she used to do rowing or something and just 'switched' Olympic sport. As you do. . And Mr Gardener man I vaguely recognise but couldn't have told you his name or what he did - not sure I've ever actually seen him on anything.

Still not seen any actual cooking yet - only watch 5 mins of Monday before DH made me turn over - I shall have such a backlog at this rate as we have visitors now for the rest of the week still DS1 goes back to Preschool next Wed so that'll be me with a cuppa and the Sky box and ds2 who's too young to complain about what's on Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 29/08/2012 07:29

Yes!

Your prize is a night out with Greg Wallace watching him spoon a pudding into his horrible face Grin

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 29/08/2012 07:45

Urgh Confused

I lied - I've never seen any of them before in my life Hmm

Fenerally i like GW, but I find it really creepy when he does his pudding face. The other thing I find a bit odd is when someone is late taking their meal out to the restaurant critics / celebs or whoever and he starts clutching at his head. Seriously dude, the world is not going to end if Lisa Faulkner has to wait 2 minutes for her seared scallops and chocolate fondant Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 29/08/2012 07:47

Fenerally = Generally but the F is for fat fingers Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 29/08/2012 08:13

I like GW too but that head clutching and the way he holds his spoon does my head in. It's like he's digging for gold the way he attacks an apple crumble Grin

Given the choice of going out with GW or Toady, I know which one I'd pick...

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 29/08/2012 08:17

Also, JT is known as Jonty in our house because for ages DH thought he was called Jonty Rhodes Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 29/08/2012 08:25

It took me a few seconds to 'get' that! Vair funny Grin

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 29/08/2012 08:44

I've just watched a bit of Monday's (sorry for running so far behind!) Now I look a nicompoop for thinking I was so clever about Rebecca being a two-Olympic-sporter since they said it as soon as they spoke to her!

I don't think I like mr Gardener (can't spell his name). Had a job in a kitchen but then left when he got his gardening job? Fair enough. But then never even went in his own kitchen? Surely he could cook if he'd been in a professional kitchen? He strikes me as a thoroughly annoying 'if I can't be the best I won't do it at all'. I am also factoring in here when he said 'if I do something I want to be the best' (see, I'm like a proper detective). He doesn't look like a friendly person to me. I think Greg Head Clutcher picked up on it though when he said 'but you're happy to be second or third best at gardening? Grin Will be interesting to see how he works in a team.

MsNobodyAgain · 29/08/2012 08:51

Mr Gardner is an arrogant horrible man. Of course I am only basing this on other tv programmes I have seen him on, but he just seems nasty! Greg has his card marked.

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 29/08/2012 08:54

Marvellous - hope he goes out in the first round Grin

I'm undecided on Michael Underwood. Think he was surprised by how much they hated his Monday food but can't yet determine whether he just thinks highly of himself (so it was rubbish and he thought it was ace) or if they were being mean about his food and just don't like him a la Gareth Gates.

Bilbobagginstummy · 29/08/2012 19:37

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat??

How could Jenny Eclair go out but that awful, awful, awful man Dermot Gavin stay in? He was worse than her on EVERY task (except maybe the "own food" and frankly they were both pretty inedible). And he is SO annoying!!

Michael's a shoo-in for the next round but neither Rebecca nor Dermot is remotely good enough. Will they do that thing that they do in non-celeb Masterchef and say that only Michael is good enough to go on?

OhYouGreatGreatBritain · 29/08/2012 19:54

Awww, Ive missed loads. Will have to catch up with as many as I player will allow tomorrow.
