I like Shriekipova. I like the fact that anyone who walks into the room when she is playing starts going, "Oooooh! Oooooh! Ooooh!" in a high-pitched voice. The smaller the child, the more it makes me laugh.

Perhaps it's a good thing I decided against going to Wimbers Court One, women's quarters. There'd be a possibility Shriekipova would be playing (although they'd probably put her on Centre) but I wouldn't want to ejected from Wimbers for shouting "Would. You. Please. Shut. The. Actual. Fuck. Up."

Thinking about it, you can probably hear her in Court One from Centre, even with the roof on. Isn't Radwanska another very noisy one?

Thing is a lot of the men make a lot of noise but it's not as distracting/annoying.

The men don't shriek at every shot though do they? It tends to happen only at long rallies or when it gets very tense. In fact the only one whose grunt I recall is Rafter - he made a rather high-pitched heeeeeeee sound when the going got a bit tough (I still fancied him rotten though).

Connors did grunt a bit, and yes the lovely Rafter made a funny noise, but this constant noise seems to be more of a ladies thing. Radwanska is very loud indeed.

I was at centre court today and the Wozniacki natch was bloody brilliant.

I go every year and whilst I usually look forward to Nadal the mens matches the mist, it was really good. So pleased Paszek won, she was really great. I also liked her official photo which looked like a facebook self portrait..."am at Wimbledon lol...wtaf I won!"....
