Why, oh why is women's tennis so dull now.
I'm old enough to remember Billy Jean King, Evonne Goolagong (who had the best name ever),then Steffi Graaf.
The Williams sisters were so refreshing when they came on the scene, now it just seems to be a series of East European/Russian clones who all look the same and play the same.

LadyBeagle- true- it is very hard to keep up with the changing number 1's and various Russians and Serbs in the ladies game. That's why i'm glad to see Clijsters do well, she has some thing about her.

And Clijsters is the only other mother to win a slam (after Goolagong/Cawley).

I used to want to be Gabriella Sabatini I thought she looked very exotic

now- this annoys me. Take the matches off, to show 'today at Wimbledon'. It used to make more sense when it was on at 9.30!
