I take it we are all sitting comfortably, and have the strawberries, cream and champagne at the ready ?

Here's to a fantastic 2 weeks of tennis !

VAMOS RAFA Grin

I think Goran may have mellowed a little with age- he used to be very political in interviews.

Bugger. The Stosur match has gone to a third set- that delays the Roddick match.

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 27/06/2012 14:21

I am going to have to go out and collect ds and dd1 in a bit. And ds goes to a computer thing at the high school on wednesdays and is always late backAngry. One day, I will get a decent signal on 5 liveGrin

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 27/06/2012 14:24

An hour and 15 minutes? Bloody hell!Grin

GoranisGod · 27/06/2012 14:29

I also watched the goran/rafter final on youtube yesterdayBlush

I remember my friend had to work but managed to smuggle a very tiny tv into her office-we kept phoning each other at the crucuial points and literally screaming down the phone as we wanted him to win it soooooooooo badly!!

We both sobbed like babies at the end-happy days.

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 27/06/2012 14:32

I love how Fed is so famous and important, he is on first name terms with Charles and CamillaGrin

Awww- wee RafaGrin Bless him.

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 27/06/2012 14:35

See, Rafa, down to earth and lovely. Ronaldo, arrogant big head. imo.Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/06/2012 15:31

The Beeb website says play is suspended, but BBC2 are showing Ivanovic and Sanchez ... is it live? A replay? I'm v confused!

I had a mahoosive crush on Stefan as a teenager and think he's ageing pretty well. I can remember looking at his girlfriend (or was she his wife?) sitting courtside and being SO Envy of her.

CremeEggThief · 27/06/2012 16:07

I was only ten when I fell for him! He was 22 then, in 1988. I don't think I was quite as in love with him as Raahhfa is though!

MrsVamos · 27/06/2012 16:08

Some good tennis already today !

Heather played really well, GO HEATHER !

Roger looked in great form, poor Fognini looked like he just resigned himself to losing.

Looks like DickDjok will be this evening's entertainment. Do we think Ryan Harrison can be competitive ? I don't know much about him.

I thought Roger and Fabio were extremely polite and gentlemanly stopping and bowing to the Royal attendees today. Before and after the match !

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/06/2012 16:11

I think the bowing to the Royals is bollox. If I were playing at Wimbledon I'd take great pleasure in refusing Grin

MrsVamos · 27/06/2012 16:30

Are you going this year again, LadyC ? You could blow said rapsberry for me. Grin

Made me laugh the way the commentators made a huge deal out of the fact that they didn't have to do it. Can just imagine the conversation, can't you ?

"Well chaps, if it was Andy Murray we would insist that he has to bow being 'British' and all, but seeing as you are both forrin, you don't have to but it would be nice for the old goats if you could".

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 27/06/2012 16:31

CremeEgg- I was 16 and a half when Edberg won in 88- I really thought I was in with a chanceGrin

i saw him play (and win) at the local tournament in Didsbury a couple of weeks before he won wimbledon- he looked really young!

CremeEggThief · 27/06/2012 16:40

:o at Raahhfa!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/06/2012 16:44

MrsVamos, I didn't get tickets in the ballot but think I'm going to try to get a last-minute Centre Court ticket, yes. They are always way up in the gods and safely away from the royal box, but I could blow a raspberry in its general direction. Grin

MrsVamos · 27/06/2012 16:53

That will do fine, LadyC. Grin

Last year some of us said we would go camping and get tickets, didn't we ? Shame that came to nothing.

I may try to remember for next year, and do a thread in about February to see if there would be any takers. We could go and 'do lunch' or just get a general ticket and have a mnetters take over of Henman Hill ? Or get properly organised and get tickets for CC on men's 1/4 finals day ? That would be a good one !

OP posts:
LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/06/2012 16:55

Yeah, bugger Henman Hill. It's never rained when I've been, but there's a first time for everything and I bet it's miserable as fuck if it does.

We just need to start saving for quarter-finals tickets. Now. Grin Seriously, I've been putting money away all year so I can buy a semi-finals ticket.

MrsVamos · 27/06/2012 17:08

I'm up for it if you are. If there was a [serious face] emoticon, I would use it.

Should we get tix for CC and Ct1, just in case one player is on one court and another on the other one ? That may be the best way to go ?

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 27/06/2012 17:09

BTW, I'm not joking. I'm not waiting to go all year then missing Rafa ! Grin

And it is still going. In the time they have been playing, Federer and Murray would have played both their matches!Grin

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 27/06/2012 18:19

oh. I like Wozniacki. I think maybe her love life distracts her from her game!Grin

I'm getting tired just watching the rallies in the Baker -v- Roddick match!

Great result today for Heather Watson.

Boo hiss to the rain.

AnyOtterForTennis · 27/06/2012 19:07

Aaah...lovely, lovely Andy Roddick.

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 27/06/2012 19:24

C'mon Andy!!
