Just watched part 2 of Homeland shown on Channel 4 last night.

Fantastic drama with an excellent script, superb acting and lots of twists and turns.

Has he been brainwashed????

OP posts:
Hissboo · 08/04/2012 22:05

They must be in contact with each other too, I reckon.

MrsKitty · 08/04/2012 22:05

foxinsocks, the person with the note was someone from the government - I think they had some kind of govt numberplate on the car?

ifancyashandy · 08/04/2012 22:05

I agree, both turned with no knowledge of each others position.

God, I WANT TO KNOW (but also don't Grin!)

Hissboo · 08/04/2012 22:08

Not US govt though?

LeBOF · 08/04/2012 22:09

I missed a bit of that last scene. Brodie turned? Say it ain't so Shock

MrsKitty · 08/04/2012 22:12

No, perhaps not. Maybe a diplomat?

Think I should probably just admit I have no idea. Assume numberplate is relevant though as they focussed on it twice.

StringOrNothing · 08/04/2012 22:13

Definitely diplomatic plates, but I don't think you could tell which country.

cybbo · 08/04/2012 22:14

Blimey that was fast moving

Will Brody take up office as congressman to get deeper under cover?

YouChangeWithTheWeather · 08/04/2012 22:18

No, that's too much like the X men.

So did Brody really think he killed Walker? He didn't react much when Carrie told him he was alive.

LeBOF · 08/04/2012 22:22

So do we know that Brodie has been turned because he knew where the rich Abu Nazir pal lived and had been in contact with him?

Am I keeping up?

Carrotcakeisace · 08/04/2012 22:24

I think so lebof but there is every chance I am wrong

Hissboo · 08/04/2012 22:26

He must have known where he lived and known the security code for the house. I reckon there must be a CIA insider too.

cocolepew · 09/04/2012 09:48

Shock Bloody hell, that was a surprise!

foxinsocks · 09/04/2012 10:21

I watched it back this morning with my glasses on and it made much more sense Grin

So they were both manipulated and appear not to know about each other?!

Tooblunt2012 · 09/04/2012 10:48

Anyone know how many episodes are left? I love it but can't handle the suspense!

So disappointed with Brody as I've been finding him strangely attractive & really wanted him to be good!

Hissboo · 09/04/2012 10:55

Radio times says last night's was episode 8 from 12 but we know there is a second series so I wonder how many loose ends will be left from this one.

Tooblunt2012 · 09/04/2012 11:00

It has to come to a conclusion - I won't be able to handle loose ends! (Thanks for letting me know though!)

Carrotcakeisace · 09/04/2012 11:27

Ok I watched this again and I have my doubts about the CIA guy who was sent up on the roof, I think he is called Graves(?). He was very slow to call of the FBI guys in the Walker pursuit, he just watched them go in and then said 'whoops too late'. He was also involved in the original clearing of Faisal I think.

Could be completely wrong but I think he could be one to watch as there has to be some internal CIA involvement?

MrsKitty · 09/04/2012 14:34

Ooh - good call Carrotcake - I spend so long trying to keep up with the 'main action' that I barely even notice the people involved on the sidelines IYSWIM.

Slartybartfast · 09/04/2012 14:53

will have to watch it again carrotcake to make note of him.
i do hope it stays clever and doesnt disappoint.
so annoying with walker's wife giving the game away.
did they kill one in the mosque and walker killed the other body?

cocolepew · 09/04/2012 17:28

Oh good one Carrotcake

Carri is a bit of a know it all.

Hissboo · 09/04/2012 18:12

I think there is more about Saul than we know.

changeforthebetter · 09/04/2012 21:09

Blimey! My head is spinning.

Either Walker's wife telling him was a bit of stereotypical girly-ness or something else.

The Mosque murders of innocent people would serve a fanaticist's cause and maybe the FBI just *ed up because government agencies do??

Not sure about Saul - they lingered on his face after Carrie told him she'd slept with Brodie - usually a device to indicate there's something hidden.

Am actually liking Mrs B better now - her legs aren't great Grin

HalleLouja · 09/04/2012 22:15

Who knows what is going to happen. I liked Saul's wife but she was obviously there to show that CIA = no chance of a personal life. She looked prettier than Mrs B at the party [shallow emoticon].

Hassled · 09/04/2012 22:21

I suspect everyone at this stage. They're all Al Quaeda.

It was such a good episode, though, wasn't it? Edge of the seat stuff. Brodie's wife was nicer, a fuller sort of character, much more likeable. Walker's wife's reaction was predictable (with hindsight) - Saul and Carrie should have built that response into their calculations.

Who the hell did Brodie bury?
