Also admiration and swooning. If you haven't watched all 7 seasons, read no further!

Two Cathedrals - have watched it several times and only just realised last night that Mrs Landingham was driving back to the WH as Bartlet wanted to tell her about the MS.

I love the scenes with young Mrs L and Jed.

Why "two" cathedrals though?

I'm inclining towards the Extras first, I could imagine they might wear a bit thin all in one go (especially as DH has only watched the entire WW 2 or 3 times compared to my many many times)...we can then intersperse Studio 60 as required.

Fiderer we bought the latest edition full series boxset as a thank you gift for a friend who we had lent our DVDs to; she is extremely grateful for us getting her into the WW so is lending us the extras as my boxsets were the original shitty ones with no extras. I was just trying to find a listing of what we've got (can't be arsed to get the DVD and type them all out) and have found this so I'm hoping the Easter Eggs also work on the pure extras DVD!

changeforthebetter · 29/03/2012 21:03

Nice touch that they have Jane Fonda in the Ted Turner-y type role. I didn't watch Studio 60 - too busy at the time mourning the loss of Matthew V Santos from my week Wink

I miss the WW. No time to watch it at the moment. Can't wait for the summer hols and a WW-fest Grin

MishiMoshi · 29/03/2012 22:02

Ooooh, we watched out first ever Studio 60 last night, followed by the next rewatch episode of TWW.

It was okay. Not what I was expecting, but frankly until the day before yesterday, I had never heard of Studio 60....!

Tee2012 · 04/04/2012 20:53

I had lost y'all! I haven't been watching as I have been doing other stuff. ::hangs head in shame:: Grin

Studio 60 had the potential to be great if it had been given a chance.

Sports Night was great. And I hate all sport. Grin

I really think Sorkin needs a new shtick though...

Tee2072 · 10/04/2012 15:19

Just watched the end of S2. Bye Mrs Landemham...

RedHotPokers · 19/04/2012 14:12

Can I tempt anyone to revive the thread??

I've just watched the very last episode, and am already suffering withdrawal symptons. Have the Studio 60 box set waiting in the wings should the shakes get really bad Grin.

It was my first view of WW, so already planning a rewatch.

RedHotPokers · 19/04/2012 14:13

Btw I must be one of the only people who watched Studio 60 BEFORE watching WW. I loved it, and it got me started on the wonderful WW, which of course is a 1000 times better!

CoraBear · 19/04/2012 18:58

Currently rewatching the whole lot and I'm on Season 3. DP has never seen it before so I have to wait for him to get home to watch it with him. It's sooo irritating. I want to watch it now!

I forgot how hilarious it could be inbetween all of the serious stuff. Just watched CJ be confused by the meaning behind "I'm too sexy" by Right said Fred and then continuing to sing and dance it through the episode. Brilliant.

RedHotPokers · 25/04/2012 21:33

Watching ep 4 of studio 60, but it's not filling the ww void. Am hoping the alison janney episode will cheer me up Grin.

As a fellow tall woman, I always loved the way janney was cast along with such male short arses esp. Spencer and sheen!

Tee2072 · 25/04/2012 21:44

Just marking my place again!

tribpot · 25/04/2012 22:06

I don't think Janney was deliberately cast alongside short arses (as a fellow Hobbit I prefer to think of us as 'economy sized' Wink). Love the bit when she looks down to Kristen Chenoweth and says 'hard to believe we're from the same species'.

Her episode is one of the best on Studio 60, though. I love the way the cast are so utterly callous about the fact she repeatedly makes a complete arse of herself on live TV.

Tee2072 · 25/04/2012 22:27

I just watched that ep today Cora. Smile

RedHotPokers · 25/04/2012 22:35

I only just found out that Harriet in studio 60 was based in kristin chenoweth, with Matt albie (fairly obviously) based on sorkin. Never knew sorkin and chenoweth dated in rl.

tribpot · 25/04/2012 22:57

All a bit too close to the bone, I think - although they had split up long before Chenoweth was on TWW thus even longer before the Harriet/Matt storyline. I have to say, I never really understood why Harriet would stay with someone with a highly intolerant attitude towards her faith (and I say that as an atheist). I guess Sorkin didn't know either, given he couldn't explore it through the characters.

I suspect this may be why TWW was the most successful of his TV shows and why the 'behind the scenes' ones have tended to stumble (which don't bode well for the next one). It's too close to his real life for him to be objective about the characters in it. Hopefully he can get past this now he's older and wiser (by which I actually mean 'not off his trolley on cocaine any more').

gettingalifenow · 26/04/2012 06:56

So I"m getting WW withdrawal as we haven't watched again since we finished again about 4 weeks ago - is it too soon do you think to go round again ( for the 10th time)?

I have been using my time well tho - we've done all of P and P and North and South in the meantime......

Tee2072 · 26/04/2012 07:18

Never too soon to start again!

Fiderer · 26/04/2012 08:00

I finished S7 last week. Am struck that with each viewing, the Convention is still exciting and the election night gripping. Think BW was overlooked Emmy/award-wise for S6 & 7.

Wonder how MishiMoshi got on with her hunt for a Gail fishbowl.

Trivia question: What are the names of the Bartlet grandchildren? And the Santos?

OP posts:
tribpot · 26/04/2012 08:05

Annie and George ... Miranda and - ooh! Can't remember Santos Jr's name!

Fiderer · 26/04/2012 08:08

Annie - yes
George - no, think not but can't remember either which prompted my q.
Miranda - yes

TWW klaxon's still working well!

OP posts:
CaveMum · 26/04/2012 08:10

Hello all! Did you miss me? I lost you for a while there, but now I'm back Grin

Tee2072 · 26/04/2012 08:11

I'm terrible at these trivia questions...it does begin with G, though, I think.

Gary? Gus? Greg?

Something like that!

No idea on Santos!

Fiderer · 26/04/2012 08:14

CaveMum, we were bereft Wink

Tee has it, yes, one of those! Remember from the tree-lighting episode now. He was in "time-out" and Jed asks "Doug or G?"

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 26/04/2012 08:15

::pats self on back:: Grin

Now I think it's Gus...

Fiderer · 26/04/2012 08:24

It was Gus.

Master Santos?

Carrying on the theme: The Ziegler twins?

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 26/04/2012 08:31

Huck and....something... Grin
