Also admiration and swooning. If you haven't watched all 7 seasons, read no further!

Two Cathedrals - have watched it several times and only just realised last night that Mrs Landingham was driving back to the WH as Bartlet wanted to tell her about the MS.

I love the scenes with young Mrs L and Jed.

Why "two" cathedrals though?

OliviaMumsnet · 13/02/2012 20:11

Oooooooooooooooooooooh
A lovely looking WW thread

OliviaMumsnet · 13/02/2012 21:00

@Fiderer

"We will work hard. We will work well. We will work together. Or so help me, mother of God, I will stick a pitchfork so far up your asses, you will, quite simply, be dead."

I have to go to work now, and instead of thinking "WWLD?", I'm going to repeat that.
Often.

Wonder if Justine will approve this as our new troll hunting policy?!

OliviaMumsnet · 14/02/2012 17:50

THere are COMMENTARIES?

Fave quotes that are repeated a lot in the Towers aside from OBVIOUSLY tssdncop
"I'm on hold. [paces] I'm on hold. [slams phone against desk] I'm in some kind of hellish hold world of holding."

Also Victory is mine

My piece of trivia
did you know that Rob Lowe, martin sheen and Alison Janney all have the same hometown?

OliviaMumsnet · 17/02/2012 21:10

OliviaMumsnet · 18/02/2012 09:57

@Jumpyjack

  1. Sam being essentially single for four years.
That one is easy. He was with MEEEEEEEEEE. Grin {swoon}

OliviaMumsnet · 18/02/2012 10:03

On a slightly less fantasist note, was that not Sorkin's point ?- that these guy spend SO much time at work that there isn't any time at all for a relationship - even with someone else at work?!

Think about :-
all the dates Donna has to cancel
Leo and Mallory's mom
Cj on the running machine chatting the guy up saying "this is MY time, 445-545 am or whatever godawful time it is in the morning"
Josh only EVER "dipping his nib in the office ink" mandy and amy for e.g.
Toby and Andy

NB My fave guest star? CHRISTIAN SLATER!

OliviaMumsnet · 18/02/2012 10:35

where is this other thread of which you speak?

OliviaMumsnet · 19/02/2012 20:13

I'm just saying that if you were in an accident, I wouldn't stop for a beer."
"If you were in an accident I wouldn't stop for red lights,"

OliviaMumsnet · 20/02/2012 20:31

D'you think they are like Ant and Dec and one is always on the LH of the other?!
Which one has the bigger forehead?Grin

OliviaMumsnet · 21/02/2012 14:08

Why do americans say I could care less about this when brits say I couldn't care less about this?

OliviaMumsnet · 21/02/2012 17:55

Two pink shoes - I like "in this white house" but I have a ridiculous soft spot for Ainsley with an en.

OliviaMumsnet · 21/02/2012 18:09

Cn - that is true about 5 ep arc

And I vividly recall getting to the end of an ep, quickly checking time and mentally calculating whether it was really TOOOOOO late to put another one and then glancing at DH to see if he was doing the same....
Grin

OliviaMumsnet · 23/02/2012 22:27

OliviaMumsnet · 05/03/2012 19:19

"Don't call them worthless. They are patriots and they are true."
It's funny, usually people who are that earnest annoy me but somehow Ainsley gets away with it....Grin

OliviaMumsnet · 09/03/2012 15:05

Ainsley like Fresca

OliviaMumsnet · 09/03/2012 19:17

Aha tee- that could explain why she is so sad in the mess when they don't have any. Sounds a bit like lilt.

Tee are you from the south? Do you talk like Julia Roberts in Steel Magnolias Envy? or am i being horribly ignorant and basically assuming that Hugh Grant has a typically British accent? {wrings hands}

OliviaMumsnet · 16/03/2012 21:52

No more pointless than sodding mandy.

OliviaLMumsnet · 30/04/2012 18:59

Grin

OliviaLMumsnet · 02/05/2012 10:23

Acekicker - Martin Sheen does that in Wall Street too = he has to put his jacket on that way, it's a leftover from a polio injury IIRC (hope you enjoyed that trivia fans)
Will's glasses are god awful
Worried about Martin though, think Charlie's antics have aged him :-(

OliviaLMumsnet · 03/05/2012 23:53

Blush

HRHOliviaMumsnet · 08/06/2012 20:58

@Hassled

I've been reading tweets about Mrs Landingham and someone said: "If anyone in the DC area tonight could leave a flower at 18th & Potomac, I'd be much obliged. Good night and thank you, Mrs. Landingham." And now there's a lump in my throat.
Me too. Sad

OliviaLMumsnet · 25/06/2012 18:33
