Also admiration and swooning. If you haven't watched all 7 seasons, read no further!

Two Cathedrals - have watched it several times and only just realised last night that Mrs Landingham was driving back to the WH as Bartlet wanted to tell her about the MS.

I love the scenes with young Mrs L and Jed.

Why "two" cathedrals though?

Huck after Andy's grandfather and Molly after the Secret Service Agent killed during Zoe's kidnap, which was, IIRC, the same night they were born.

[nerd]

CaveMum · 26/04/2012 20:56

Aww, I just find you all again and you've gone and disappeared Sad

tribpot · 26/04/2012 21:19

Have patience Cavey :) I think the thread is likely to come and go a bit, as we dredge ever-more arcane trivia from the backs of our memories :)

I've got Master Santos' name but only by cheating, so I won't reveal it.

RedHotPokers · 26/04/2012 21:31

Anyone remember the name of the new Hampshire town that always votes first?

gettingalifenow · 26/04/2012 21:42

dH thinks ie something Falls... But we're wracking our brains and trying hard not to cheat.....

gettingalifenow · 26/04/2012 21:44

Mope, I cheated and that's not it...... But not going to spoil it for those who really know......

Bratella · 26/04/2012 21:46

hartsfield landing?

Bratella · 26/04/2012 21:47

I've only just found this thread - may I join fellow wingnuts?

Fiderer · 26/04/2012 21:50

Peter Santos.

Hartsfield Landing (sp) votes first. Tee gets the Tshirt for Gus, though. If we had one.

A WW thread may wane but we still keep on going.

Bratella - all welcome!

Hello all

We are watching around the time when they try and get the Israelis and Palestinian's together for negotiations.

There are two episodes I always skip when watching the through, the special one off one after 9/11, and the one where CJ goes back home to see her father. Just don't like either of them.

Any you skip?

I love a l lot of the music on the show. It has got me into Ryan Adams. TRIVIA: Anyone know where in the show?

gettingalifenow · 26/04/2012 23:06

Gosh, Dilly, you're me. Those are my two skips, too.

tribpot · 26/04/2012 23:46

I skip both of those too - one because it's intentionally out of the timeline of the story and the other because it isn't, but might as well be for all the point it has. Such a shame that was the best storyline they could come up with for a fantastic actress like Allison Janney to use to showcase her talent.

NewGirlInTown · 27/04/2012 01:45

DillyTante
I skip those exact two episodes every time too!
This is weird!

Fiderer · 27/04/2012 06:28

Another skipper here.

That song is in S6, "King Corn" where Josh and Donna are in the same hotel in rooms opposite each other. Didn't know who sang it.

There wasn't much music in TWW, when there was it worked, I think. I just looked up "New York Minute" - didn't know it was sung by The Eagles. So with the hotel in Iowa, the Eagles, who also sang "Hotel California", MN, that's a fairly neat circle we'll never leave Wink

OP posts:
Bratella · 27/04/2012 06:47

wow! I skip those two as well. But The Supremes is one of my bestest episodes.

CaveMum · 27/04/2012 08:07

The Supremes is the best [gavel]

Along with Two Cathedrals and A Good Day and Shutdown and, and and.......

Grin
Tee2072 · 27/04/2012 11:06

I skip none of them although the "9/11" ep makes my teeth itch.

::smug WW watcher::

Fiderer · 28/04/2012 10:12

Trivia: What was the name of the nominee for the Supreme Court before Mendoza? The one Sam got the "unsigned note" about, after all that "Who da man" dancing and prancing.

OP posts:
Bratella · 28/04/2012 11:38

ooh toughie I remember he's s blond guy, and a bit pompous when Sam is questioning him...

Fiderer · 28/04/2012 11:56

Admit I only know as was reading that WW book in the bath last night.

Acekicker · 28/04/2012 17:26

Rats the judge's name escapes me...

Am I allowed to hijack to give my thoughts on Studio 60 as we did a rewatch a couple of weeks ago...not sure it's worth its own thread as I think this is where the Sorkinphiles hang out mostly:

Overall it was better than I remembered it - it's not something that would stand up to continuous rewatches a la WW but we still watched it as a '3 episodes a night' fest. I think the clincher is we weren't tempted to stay up late to watch 4, then 5 but it's definitely one you can see in 'big chunks'.

Matthew Perry is great in it, you forget utterly that he was Chandler in Friends, it's also a joy if you watch a lot of US TV as quite a few of the minor characters are now stars of major series (eg Howie from BBT and Laney in Castle). Lucy Davis is also in it doing a ridiculous 'clipped British accent' through clenched teeth which for some reason just makes me remember that she was the original 'Hayloy' in the Archers

RedHotPokers · 28/04/2012 17:38

Acekicker - I'm rewatching it too. I loved it the first time round, but now I feel it hasn't lived up to my memory of it IYSWIM.

Watched ep 5 last night. It just isn't gripping me though. Matthew Perry IS very good and I love Tom (am loving him in Harry's Law at the moment), but the Jordan storyline and the Harriet/Matt storyline are not doing it for me. Am hanging in for Alison Janney's cameo, but my attention is drifting (finding myself MNing in crucial moments! Grin).

Hassled · 28/04/2012 17:41

I'm so glad this is still going - after an enforced long break of ooh, at least 6 months, DH and I cracked the other night and started on Season 1 again. That bloody Mandy woman - every time I see her again I recoil in horror. She was truly awful.

Sorkinites - I've recently watched The Social Network (I'm so up with the times :o). It is amazing. If you haven't watched it and you enjoy a bit of Sorkin dialogue then it's a must-see.

RedHotPokers · 28/04/2012 17:54

Loved the social network! Fascinating stuff.

Out of interest, what would you think is the best break period between WW rewatches?

I feel like starting again, and i only finished S7 a fortnight ago!!! I don't want to 'ruin' it by starting too soon! Grin Plus DH ( who unfortunately is not a fan) may divorce me if I start again so soon!!!
