I had gas and air with an examination.

Sparklingbrook · 01/02/2012 21:11

I could have done with gas and air for breastfeeding. Sad

AmberLeaf · 01/02/2012 21:11

I have been offered gas and air when ive had the initial VE.

I didnt take it the first time thinking 'why would that hurt'?

It hurts why wouldnt they offer G&A?

I see already lots of patronising comments about her finding the VE painful!

bigeyes · 01/02/2012 21:11

Oh is there two blinds apols, then

bigeyes · 01/02/2012 21:12

Methadone?!?

Dotty342kids · 01/02/2012 21:12

Methadone? haha

IceCreamCastles · 01/02/2012 21:12

VE/ having waters broken was worst part of whole event for me.

Managed the rest very quietly and fairly calmly.

Charlotteperkins · 01/02/2012 21:12

She doesn't even know about pain relief! Did she not go to classes?

snowmaiden · 01/02/2012 21:13

The 17 year old girl really is as rough as they come- I am from Leeds, but her accent is so broad it's barely English!

MrsChemist · 01/02/2012 21:13

Did they explain why the other one was having ARM?

ImpatientOne · 01/02/2012 21:13

I thought it was the same on bigeyes but I think this is the first time we have seen her do the talky bits when they have time to do hair and make up

She is being lovely today :)

scarletforya · 01/02/2012 21:13

What's this diamorphene stuff then? Confused That's not an epidural is it?

working9while5 · 01/02/2012 21:13

I found the VE more painful than ANYTHING else, even the recovery from my lovely Kiellands forceps delivery with ultra episiotomy. Found contractions a breeze in comparison...

minimuffy · 01/02/2012 21:13

blonde in previous episode got a bit of a bad rep because of the way she spoke to the women..

BadDayAtTheOrifice · 01/02/2012 21:13

Why? Diamorph's more likely to make you sick and if it does, you can't take it away!

bumpsnowjustplump · 01/02/2012 21:13

Amber sorry i was never offered gas and air with any of mine didnt know it was available.. I had a russian shot putter for one of mine as well she had hands like shovels and it bloody hurt. Not all of them did but she did.. ouchy

Charlotteperkins · 01/02/2012 21:13

I'm another who finds ves worse than labour.

amandine07 · 01/02/2012 21:14

I was a bit shocked cos I think she looks about 14! just listening to her talk about having a baby being 'the fashion' and something that people her age just do these days, that made me :(

HepHep · 01/02/2012 21:14

VE was awful for me, I started babbling that I wanted to go home and turned into a nutcase:(. Hurt SO much! Not G&A offered though..

Stranded - I wasn't that much older. I'm not saying "poor kid" as any sort of judgement. I suppose I'm :( because I think it's going to be hard for her. Having had kids when very young and then having had kids when I was relatively old, I think it was easier being older. I needed that maturity.

DefiniteMaybe · 01/02/2012 21:14

My sis is having her first baby in a few weeks and I've had to trick her into attending classes. She's young although not as young as this girl

chipmunksex · 01/02/2012 21:14

woohoo diamophine, it's so dreamy Grin
