Anyone also watching with me tonight?
I've had a rough day and could do with a cry at cute babies and a laugh at stupid and endearing things couples do/say. Grin

i was allowed to find out for myself what flavour we had at my cs and was breast feeding within 30 mins

BroomForMyChin · 18/01/2012 21:27

I'm not sure working but I was supposed to give birth somewhere else and they were full when I was in labor so ended up at Harrogate. While I was there one of the midwives mentioned that they get a lot of people accidentally on purpose ending up there. If you turn up there when your in labor they don't send you away. And tbh to the hospital they were brilliant, I think my birth was going to go wrong no matter where I was. And the after care was fantastic.

StarlightMcKenzie · 18/01/2012 21:27

Working, you can go to any hospital you like. Practically it is better to go to one near, obviously. Hospital of choice might be a but difficult at first if have large catchment but nothing a bit of bolshiness won't fix Grin

scarletforya · 18/01/2012 21:27

Oh no, baby is back to back Sad

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 18/01/2012 21:27

I like these two aswell :)

PaschandChips · 18/01/2012 21:27

I like this couple.

Bearcrumble · 18/01/2012 21:27

Is it maybe a bit rude to ask why are you here? I don't think she was being racist though...

custardismyhamster · 18/01/2012 21:27

First lady was one of my teachers at school-mums friends kids are still at school and said she's talk of the school cos she's on here. I think she's fab though great role model for the kids-probably said she's bi cos rumours are going round the school and she'd rather say it proudly like this-go Miss O'Mahoney (now Mrs Chapman) you rock

ShowOfHands · 18/01/2012 21:27

They v rarely deliver cs babies straight onto the chest. It's pretty chilly in theatre, the babies don't have the mucous squeezed out like in a vaginal delivery and they can be shocked/the mother v shaky. Best to v quickly check them over. I asked for ds to be placed on me asap and they did it in about 40 seconds.

And yes they tug them out by the head. DH watched all of the 2nd emcs I had and said it looked brutal.

HandMini · 18/01/2012 21:27

How did she get to be in a water bath, pushing for half an hour and she's only 2cm dilated?? Sometimes internals are a good idea.

LoveInAColdClimate · 18/01/2012 21:28

It looked like the C section was hurting her! I didn't know that could happen. Must say the C section was much rougher looking than I had imagined.

msrisotto · 18/01/2012 21:28

Aw I like this couple

B2B lady needs to get UP.

amandine07 · 18/01/2012 21:28

Aw it was nice to hear the midwife talk about ELCS and how it can make the mother feel- either in control about the birth or feeling that the magic/surprise has been taken away.

Magneto · 18/01/2012 21:28

that's weird ShowofHands! I'm a bit jealous that I don't really remember any of my labour after I got to the hospital - the g&a knocked me out, just remember white fuzziness, then "ring of fire" pain then there was a baby Grin

BillyBollyBandy · 18/01/2012 21:28

Yes I like these pair

Heatherhills · 18/01/2012 21:28

Why is she lying on her back when she is only 2cm?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/01/2012 21:29

Back to back mam is so sweet

BearWith · 18/01/2012 21:29

This couple are adorable. They really seem to love each other :)

Poor woman, getting in the pool and only then being told she's 2cm and needs to go home. Badly managed.

5inthebed · 18/01/2012 21:30

Don't think the c section was hurting her, more of an odd sensation when they take the baby out. Beautiful baby an glad they did skin to skin.

ShowOfHands · 18/01/2012 21:31

LoveInAColdClimate, it doesn't hurt, it's just really uncomfortable. Hard to explain. You just feel everything and they tug, pull, pump you full of air etc. It's a really weird feeling and does make you wince.

sam26oscar · 18/01/2012 21:31

c-section doesn't hurt per se but it does feel like someone washing up inside your belly Grin. Hurts like buggery after though!!!!

pigleychez · 18/01/2012 21:31

Both my girls were B2B. I must be more comfy that way! :)
