Anyone also watching with me tonight?
I've had a rough day and could do with a cry at cute babies and a laugh at stupid and endearing things couples do/say. Grin

I remember being my sisters birth partner. She was induced on a ward and there was a girl aged 15 with her mum there in the next bed, 15 year old was in labour and her mam did nothing but support her. Yet as soon as she went from behind the curtain to the toilet/for fresh air she burst into tears. Thats how Leannes mam should have been.

Looking forward to next weeks episode. The lady with SN will be interesting.

wow Leanne handled the labour so well, didn't appear to go for any pain relief until near the end...her screaming at the end made me shudder a bit, you can just hear the rawness & agony of it all which is the reality of childbirth...just reminded me of a couple of women I was with as a student when they gave birth, definitely won't forget the screaming...

...on another note, sorry to be so graphic, but I often wonder what the damage is like at the end- it's never never mentioned what degree tear or how many stiches a woman has afterwards, especially after the instrumental births you see. I guess most people wouldn't find it relevant- I am curious from a medical point of view.

I agree, I want to know more of the gory details although don't really want to see and totally get why the mums might not want to share that There's not much discussion of their pain relief is there? Or am I too busy typing and i've missed it?

What a lovely midwife!

Rowena's birth made me shudder, when I had dd *lmost 16 months ago I was pushing for ages before they did an internal and I was only 3cm. The midwife told me not to push then but its like telling someone not to sneeze - impossible! When she was born though it was with one push all of a sudden, oh ill never ever ever forget feeling her turning inside me so she moved down, it was great but horrible all at once. She was born 'stargazing' though I think but was quite big so I think shed wedged herself further up my pelvis but was always back to back.

Sorry gone off on a self obssessed tangent there. 18 year old reminded me of Liz from Atomic Kitten!
