Redtartanlass · 24/01/2006 20:36

Weird AAA, I thought last week was crap, but this week was great!!!

However spent the whole episode waiting for him to meet his mum!!!

helsi · 24/01/2006 20:38

Damn I missed it - was having a row with dh. Can anyone give me a brief synopsis of what happened?

Redtartanlass · 24/01/2006 20:46

Managed to crack a murder case with his "gayboy science", the murder was in a mill, which in the future was/is converted into flats which he lives in.

He felt he that if he couldn't prove the innocence of the guy that was originally arrested, he was "giving up" on his life, in real life. IYSWIM.

The guy was arrested, bu his guvnor'cos he was the first to speak in a crowd of people.

He's kinda bonded with his team mates, and a sort of mutual respect has grown between him and his guvnor!!

It was a freak accident by the way not a murder.

greenbean · 24/01/2006 21:01

Also had a big punch up with the regional crime squad.

AlmostAnAngel · 25/01/2006 10:54

redtart,i think i like it more when there is more of a connection to the future it hardly happened this week ,,,,hes getting closer to the wpc through!!

OP posts:
AlmostAnAngel · 25/01/2006 10:54

OP posts:
AlmostAnAngel · 25/01/2006 10:55

regional

Redtartanlass · 25/01/2006 10:58

AAA isn't that funny, that's the reason I liked it better this week, 'cos I thought, there was more of a connection with the past/present, which I thought was missing from last weeks. As per my post last week.

Isn't strange, how everyone can see the same thing, but get differents things out of it.

Redtartanlass · 25/01/2006 11:00

AAA, I thought I heard the WPC's voice in the future telling him to fight. Or was it my imagination.

AlmostAnAngel · 25/01/2006 11:01

thats why i dont take notice of what people think about films as ive watched some that ive been told are great and think huh?and vica.versa...............where did you think the connections were then apart form the flat thing?

OP posts:
AlmostAnAngel · 25/01/2006 11:04

YES!! i throught that last week ,think i noted same below,,,but then she is a psycoligist so prob is her...thing is how ever much we try and guess whats going to happen bet when and if he goes back and we find out what its all been about ,bet we all go wow!! never would of thought that!! MAYBE none of it is happening and hes a writer and its all a book hes writting if you see what i mean!

OP posts:
Redtartanlass · 25/01/2006 12:31

AAA, thinking about it, there wasn't many past/present connections, but what I enjoy is when he uses current procedures and sciences, to the bewilderment of his colleagues.

Such as the tape recorder and the blood splat analysis!! And as for 'multi-tasking' I just laughed and laughed!!!

I so didn't want it to end last night, I kept checking the time.

OMG, am I a saddo?

AlmostAnAngel · 25/01/2006 12:36

lol no your not a saddo ! i was looking at the clock too!

OP posts:
AlmostAnAngel · 25/01/2006 12:36

did they have a what happens next week bit? i missed it if they did

OP posts:
Redtartanlass · 25/01/2006 12:39

Yes they did, I think this is the one where he meets his mum.

Redtartanlass · 25/01/2006 12:42

Ahh maybe wrong, as per Radio Times

Sam's principles call into question the ethos of his whole department as he takes on a local gangster in an attempt to stamp out police corruption. Gene believes that criminals and the police can co-exist and that the streets are safer as a result, but Sam knows that in the future police corruption will irrevocably change the relationship between the public and the police.

Lucycat · 25/01/2006 12:49

I love location spotting - the outside of the police station is in Stockport behind the town hall, I think it's where they register births etc!

Very classy architecture we have here! They must have struggled to find the unconverted mill in Manchester though - the place is one big loft apartment nowadays!

Lucycat · 25/01/2006 12:53

Here you go - a direct link to the BBC website Know what I'll be doing this afternoon!

Redtartanlass · 25/01/2006 13:12

Wow lucycat - great site!!

Joanie · 25/01/2006 14:22

Dissapointing after first episode. Dear BBC.. more spooky stuff and less crime stuff that has all been done in the Sweeney anyway.

DH says its just an excuse for the programme-makers to do lots of un-pc things which are probably fun to act, which they couldn't do if it was set in the current day.

Redtartanlass · 30/01/2006 20:42

1 x Baby down to sleep
1 X Baby to go soon
1 X Bottle of red open and ready
1 X Glass clean and polished

And no DP this week Yahoo....he's working late. I missed loads last week, with him asking questions!!

Whizzz · 30/01/2006 21:01
