Thank you, that's it! Grin

Breaking news re Artem:

He will not be dancing on Saturday. But hopes to be at Wembley.
Brendan is confirmed as the stand in this week.

Injury sounds very painful.

Just watched tonight's ITT. Poor Artem. Hope he's better for next week.

And on the subject of fantasy SCD I need to express my outrage, OUTRAGE I tell you. Jason Bloody Donovan has stolen my Viennese Waltz song!

Me and Ian Waite - Viennese Waltz - Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls. I even have my dress (in my head). The song's on my SCD playlist and everything.

Don't know whether watch it TBH because it'll be spoiled Angry and I'll have to be all outraged again and that's just exhausting.

DilysPrice · 10/11/2011 18:47

Just watching ITT, HARRY IS DOING THE ARGENTINE TANGO. Literally salivating with overexcitement about this, I think it may well be phenomenal, it should suit him perfectly.

Fiderer · 10/11/2011 18:55

I want Flavia's hair.
Actually I want to be Flavia, just for a day. And an Argentine Tango.

How many siblings has Flav got? Might explain why she seems such a quiet little sweetheart.. I kind of love her as well!

And missed most of ITT tonight but am just not as excited about Harry as everyone else - he just seems a bit, I don't know... probably more about the partnership with Aliona maybe as can see the tango becoming all about her again and him, doing some nice things but basically showcasing her when, , it's supposed to be the other way round!!

I for one am really looking forward to Chelsee and Pasha - now they excite me as a couple Smile

I've only seen the training on ITT from Tuesday or Wednesday, but IMO Aliona's mastery of the Argentine tango looked a bit questionable, which doesn't bode well for Harry. He is a good dancer technically but I wish he'd dance with more feeling.

CaveMum · 11/11/2011 11:45

Had a chat with my teacher last night, she's been out of the country do only saw SCD for the first time last Saturday. She said she had never heard of Aliona (my teacher knows all the top competitive coaches, so is vety on the ball about who is worth knowing about Wink) and thought her dancing was very questionable [meow]

She also said it is such a shame that most of the Pros are Latin specialists as you don't get the chance to see how well the ballroom dances can be danced.

Fiderer · 12/11/2011 06:13

CaveMum - have you seen this?

Didn't include SCD at first, then saw a Roll-Call from another thread and someone from here had sashayed in. You? Or Pan? He's a Runner so maybe you'd like to be our representative glitter ball holder?

If you and Pan cannot agree, I suggest a dance-off.

ScatterChasse · 12/11/2011 14:17

No paddles for the dance-off Fiderer.

But there is the obligatory face in hands, saying in a very quiet voice whilst looking down at your hands that they were both fantastic and improved sooo much, but sadly only one can go through... Sprinkle in a few 'my darling's if you feel like it.

And then next week, if somebody makes a comment you don't like, you can say..."I had to choose between Pan and CaveMum last week, and now I have to endure this!" Grin

Pan · 12/11/2011 16:01

yes, 'twas I on the thread that gave birth to that thread, listing SCD as an ofishul MN Quiche. It seems to meet all of the qualifying conditions......Smile...but we do ours with so much more panache and savoir faire than the others.....

OP posts:
CaveMum · 12/11/2011 16:47

Don't forget we have faaaar more sequins than everyone else too!

Blush @ being nominated

Proud Grin

Pan · 12/11/2011 16:49

And we are the only spray-tanned quiche! Yay!

OP posts:
Fiderer · 12/11/2011 16:50

I take it Pan is agreeable to CaveMum being the SCD rep?
Can I put you down, Pan, as being the Runners' rep? (reads less well than meant)

Please no diva rows

Fiderer · 12/11/2011 16:56

We need a CaveMum and a Pan, as reps from the SCD quiche. The only Quiche with style and panache. But Pan must be in white tie and tails.
Tell him, CaveMum.
No open shirts.
Yet.

Pan · 12/11/2011 16:58

so tempted with diva row and throw a boa or two...one of the mad runners will be their rep - I will sit quietly holding Cavemum's handbag and sequin-setter whilst she does the SCD advocating....

OP posts:
CaveMum · 12/11/2011 16:58

Definitely no Latin attire, at least to begin with. We're going to have to defuzz Pan's chest, apply fake tan, etc. these things all take time.

[swishes ballroom skirt]

Pan · 12/11/2011 16:59

ha! Open shirt to the navel. Spary tan and bleached teeth. It's all we wear in Glossop!

OP posts:
Fiderer · 12/11/2011 17:01

Oh dear Lord.

CaveMum · 12/11/2011 17:06

Here's the trade-off: if you're going to wear Latin gear you have to choose between this or Anton's Sayurday Night Fever outfit [gavel]

Pan · 12/11/2011 17:08

first name is consistent....
CavemumOla.

OP posts:
CaveMum · 12/11/2011 17:14

Ha! If I looked anything like Ola I'd walk around in Latin gear all day every day and never be more than 5ft from a mirror.

[makes note to get a mirror for Pan to carry]
