Starts tomorrow night at 10pm in case you didn't already know!

And the last episode of Season 1 is on before in case you need to remember what happened

OP posts:
bilblio · 28/11/2011 22:58

Just watched Episode 7 too.

I predicted the end about a minute before it happened. :o
Yay for Egg. I hope the others realise Shane is a psycho now.

Also realised Carl looks a lot like Eliot from E.T. I've been trying to work out who reminds me of for 7 weeks.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/11/2011 23:44

gawd you lot woffle Grin

i wondered about the map as well - plus why ride horses to shops when have cars

how long have they been on the run/since episode 1 series 1 - in time iyswim

how can lori know its ricks baby - as she was rolling about on the floor of the woods the day before rick came back into her life

notyummy · 29/11/2011 08:24

I don't think she knows it is Rick's baby at all - I think she wants it to be and will just tell herself and everyone else that it is as the alternative is Not Good. Although who knows what will happen when Rick finds out....? Or could that be part of the excitment in ep 7....? (I don't know btw as haven't watched - no spoilers!!)

Melty · 29/11/2011 09:00

Not yummy, have you seen ep 6?

notyummy · 29/11/2011 09:03

Was that last weeks? If so, yes. I was writing emails for part of it though! Have I missed something crucial? Blush I heard her saying it was Rick's baby.

DH pointed out that she cleverly chose to shag someone with similar colouring/build to her DHs so the baby will look suitable whoever it is actually fathered by Grin

susiedaisy · 29/11/2011 09:19

If the baby inherits shanes nose, ears, dark hair and skin that looks like it will tan lovely on the sun, I think there will be no doubt who he/she will belong toGrin

susiedaisy · 29/11/2011 09:21

But I agree lori doesn't gave a clue who the father is she was sleeping with both of them within the same two, three weeks I'm just surprised rick didn't ask straight away!

AWimbaWay · 29/11/2011 09:23

Think you have missed something notyummy Grin, Rick has already found out about baby and Shane in episode 6, were you hiding behind the sofa?

And yes to Carl looking like Elliot!

notyummy · 29/11/2011 09:26

I knew Rick knew about the baby (followed Lori after he found empty 'abortion pill' packet, yes?) Hadn't realised that he knew she had been shagging Shane Shock Blush.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2011 10:50

wasnt that how it ended - with rick asking about the baby?

or did i imagine that Grin

can anyone answer the time scale thing?

susiedaisy · 29/11/2011 12:03

Time scale wise from when outbreak first happened up to This weeks ep I am thinking around 4-6 months?

susiedaisy · 29/11/2011 12:04

What has rick asked who father of baby is in ep 6?? I missed thatConfused

Melty · 29/11/2011 12:16

Rick confronted Lori about the morning after pills, (she left them lying on the table when she went off to make herself sick), they argued about her not telling him, and about bringing a child onto this world, Lori against, Rick for. Then he said there was to be no more secrets. He asked her was there anything else he needed to know. She said "Shane....." and he said, I know, it ok you thought I was dead, (or words to that effect) and they hugged.
And every bloke watching it thought there's no way they would respond like that if they found out the best friend was shagging the missus.
(And as it happens, that episode was written by a woman!)

EmmaRoyd · 29/11/2011 13:34

we will know whose baby it is if it comes out looking like a little donkey Grin

somewherewest · 29/11/2011 16:29

I've just seen episode seven and am totally enjoying Shane's descent into pyschodom. It was interesting to see him coming up against Daryl...I would love for Daryl be the one to slap him down when he finally loses it.

susiedaisy · 29/11/2011 18:13

Yeah I saw that bit so rick knows lori slept with Shane but he didn't ask about the baby, I wonder in his mind he thinks it only happened once or twiceWink

Melty · 29/11/2011 19:05

For those of you who are one episode a head, have a look for "The Talking Dead" (Its on straight after each episode, chat show thing, doing a post mortem)
This weeks episode has Robert Kirkman and Norman Reedus on it. He comes across as a lovely cheeky bloke.

EmmaRoyd · 29/11/2011 19:08

Melty I thought Rick's uber calm reaction meant that he always suspected Lori & Shane. I didn't think he asked whose the baby was though?

God knows, I can barely understand most of them half the time anyway, me and DH spend a lot of time rewinding it to try and work out what they've said.

StealthPolarBear · 29/11/2011 19:40

thank goodness it's not just me that struggles to understand the accents!
I think Rick always suspected. I did say to DH that I didn't think it was that bad - she thought Rick was dead, the world was overrun by zombies all a bit apocalyptic. It stopped once she knew Rick was alive. Can't say I'd be getting too worked up about it.

wintera · 29/11/2011 19:52

Yeah Rick wasn't shocked cos he said he already knew, but nothing was mentioned about who the father is though. Maybe Rick knows there is confusion over it or he is just assuming he is the dad. Not sure. Time line wise, not sure how long Rick was in his coma to be honest as it's never been established but obviously in that time the zombie apocalypse occurred. But it's only been around maybe 3 weeks since Rick woke up? Which ties in with Lori's pregnancy. She must have missed a period to suspect she was preggers. if you think back to the first season Lori shagged Shane in the woods then shagged Rick on his return pretty soon after. I suspect that's when she got knocked up so either one could be the dad.

JKSLtd · 30/11/2011 09:06

Only halfway through last weeks episode so way behind some of this talk.

Did we ever decide best plan for periods in apocalypse-times? At least being pg would stop that worry for while!
(Topical for me as AF just returned after 16 months off!!)

JKSLtd · 30/11/2011 09:25

Right, so there's a walker in the chemist?
And, would you tie your bait horse up outside and leave it there, really?

I think a lot of what they do is automatic - they haven't changed their behaviour to the new 'rules'.

I think they could do with going into a library and reading through some survival guides. Even watching some zombie films would help!

yawningmonster · 30/11/2011 09:46

oh oh oh has anyone watched the next episode...blimy

somewherewest · 30/11/2011 11:27

Morning sickness usually hits around six weeks in, which suggests that surely Rick can't be the father, unless Lori got pregnant just before he went into a coma? Lori's periods are probably all over the place due to stress etc, which probably makes it very hard to date...I'm guessing she honestly has no idea who the father might be and neither does Rick.

moragbellingham · 02/12/2011 21:46

I think Shane's a gone-er, going by the trailers.

The US tend to kill off characters that aren't terribly moral, and they've been making him descend into evil for a while. In the UK I think they'd probably do away with Glenn and Rick in one episode purely for the shock valueGrin.
