Starts tomorrow night at 10pm in case you didn't already know!

And the last episode of Season 1 is on before in case you need to remember what happened

OP posts:
susiedaisy · 25/11/2011 09:38

Yay its Friday!!! Grin

paulapantsdown · 25/11/2011 10:46

Apparently tonights episode is pants, but next weeks is really good.

anonacfr · 25/11/2011 13:33

It is. And I was so looking forward to it. Too much Lori by far and it's sad that as a mother I should empathise with her big time but all I could think is 'go away'. Egg is great though.

And what a waste of chicken...

wintera · 25/11/2011 14:03

Aww what a shame. I thought tonight would be a good one as have heard it's when lots of revelations come out! Bugger!

susiedaisy · 25/11/2011 14:49

How can it be pants when the walkers are about to break out of the barn!!Confused ugh starting to loose interest a bitSad

wintera · 25/11/2011 15:40

They are gonna have to get a move on with these episodes or Lori is gonna be pregnant for about 20 bloody years!

anonacfr · 25/11/2011 16:47

Seriously, that barn's like Fort Knox. Sadly.

I think they should toss Dale in actually. After this episode he officially creeps me out.

Melty · 25/11/2011 18:39

I didn't think it was bad. There was too much Lori, yes, but Egg was good. Andrea surprised me, Glenn got to be awsome after I jumped out of my skin, Daryl was good, (all 10 seconds of him) Shane was a dick.
And no I really really don't fancy him or his dickishness. Or his shaved head.
You know who he reminds me of now, when he walks and talks, Foghorn Leghorn. I'm sure he didn't walk like that before, and his accent has got more difficult to understand. Like he's chewing tobacco and straw all at the same time.

susiedaisy · 25/11/2011 22:05

Yeah I agree with you about his accent!

StealthPolarBear · 25/11/2011 23:48

Why would Lori be taking the MAP after she is pg enough to be getting a +ve and feeling sick? Doesn't the MAP have to be taken within 72 hours?
Also what's this about a season break? Our sky thinks it's on next week as usual.
I was furious when they trained the 8yo boy (who must be still fairly weak having nearly DIED) to shoot without training the women. But then they did, having asked permission from the man who owns them Hmm

anonacfr · 25/11/2011 23:48

Someone needs to get eaten.
The Glen moment you're talking about didn't work for me because I didn't believe for a second that Maghie was in any danger. The show's turned too soapy and it's lacking the tension of last season where anyone could turn into a walker.

I was also very annoyed by pissy little Carl's tone when he told his mother dismissively 'you're a housewife'. Fuck off you little brat!

countessbabycham · 25/11/2011 23:50

Stealth yes I was pointing that one out to DH. Male writers?

Poor poor chook legs.

StealthPolarBear · 25/11/2011 23:51

what was the context of that? I can never understand what he's saying!!
Glad Rick shares my opinion of Lori and Shane shagging though - I actually don't think I'd hvae too much of a problem with that (hopefully I will never find out!)

StealthPolarBear · 25/11/2011 23:54

yes the chickens thing, doesn't bear thinking about :( I hope they filmed a load of chickens flapping about then superimposed the zombie actors, otherise they would have been scared.
Yes, male writers. But do they not check this stuff? I bet every minute fact about guns would be verified by someone getting paid big bucks.
I also wonder whether Lori wants to stay at the farm (as there is no REAL need, surely given a couple of days they could find their own deserted farmohouse/land) as the older guy is a vet. Aren't most births over there very medicalised?

anonacfr · 26/11/2011 00:11

Very.

The only explanation with the pills is that she thinks that by taking loads it might trigger a miscarriage.

StealthPolarBear · 26/11/2011 00:35

well yes I thought that. But taken too late, aren't they linked to birth complications? Which presumably would be awful in its own right and a nightmare on the run from zombies with no access to real medical care etc?

StealthPolarBear · 26/11/2011 00:36

would a pharmacy not have the actual pills they give for an abortion? Or am i thinking too hard about this!

wintera · 26/11/2011 07:42

The pharmacy may indeed have the actual abortion pill, but would you remember the name of it without googling it? I know I wouldn't have a clue about its actual medical name. I think we are just supposed to think that Lori is just grasping at straws really. She's panicking so a thought just occurs to her that maybe by taking a Shit load of morning after pills then it might have a similar affect.

anonacfr · 26/11/2011 08:02

The abortion pill might not even be legal where they are. I seem to remember reading that certain conservative states don't allow it.

StealthPolarBear · 26/11/2011 08:52

but presumably the MAP would come under that too?

Melty · 26/11/2011 10:03

I think Lori didnt know what to ask for. So yes, I agree she was just clutching at straws.
I wouldn't know what the abortion pill is called without checking. Glenn certainly wouldn't.
He did ask Lori if it would even work, and she said she didnt know if she wanted it to. I expect taking a handful of Morning After pills would only make her vomit copiously. (My experience of taking one pill was pretty grim, didn't vomit, but couldnt eat for 3 days I was so nauseus.)
The Glenn moment made me jump. Yeah, Maggie could have easily got one over on the Zombie, but I did like to see Glenn show he wasn't a cissy, as he gets left with the women/delivering fruit etc so much.
Although, why are they going into empty buildings without checking for zombies? Glenn was smart last season. That was daft. And the pore old horse got abandoned outside again.

wintera · 26/11/2011 10:17

Yeah I think it's just meant to show us how desperate she is in this situation. I have been thinking about it too much but I keep thinking how inconvenient it would be to have a baby while there are zombies about. The crying would be a pain in the arse for a start. Talk about attracting zombies! Not good, and yes I do know I am taking this too seriously!

Melty · 26/11/2011 10:41

And that car scene. Kind of eeeww. If it was any one else and Andrea, I would have been Yeah! thats how to do it in a Zombie Apocolypse.
I really don't know why, but I am of the opinion that Shane goes commando. So how exactly was he holding that pair of gym socks in his pants. That lump was enormous. Couldn't have been a willy, and if it was he was already.. erm.. ready, before he was grabbed by that hussy Andrea.

paulapantsdown · 26/11/2011 10:58

Why are the horses not getting eaten when they are left outside the shop?
Why, when they go to the pharmacy do they go with a list?

There is hardly anything left in it anyway, so just bring everything in it back!
Why are they sleeping in tents when there are abandoned houses down the road they could fortify and live in?

I think Shanes trousers were just a bit 'tenty'.
He is indeed looking more and more like a donkey these days, and talking like Cleetus off the Simpsons. I can hardly understand a word he is saying!

I have to fast forward through any scene with Lori in it now as otherwise I want to kick the TV in, so I have no idea what she is winging about now.

This show had better liven up a bit on the living dead front as I am getting bored.

ILovePonyo · 26/11/2011 20:56

Just watched the last episode - not enough Daryl for sure!

Grin at Shane being foghorn leghorn, very true! He looks even more unattractive with his shaved head now.

Paula Dp and I said the exact same things during this last episode - there was hardly anything in that shop anyway - why keep trekking bck and forth?

Andrea was officially smug and annoying in this episode. And I am no gun expert but I doubt her shooting would become brilliant after shooting one walker in the head at close range Hmm

Agree with anon - in the first series it really did seem that anyone could get eaten - now its just the random Otis's and no major characters.
