Strictly Come Dancing 2011

As all the other threads seem to have died off I thought I'd start a new one in anticipation of this Friday's first live show.

I have to say I'm not too bothered about the Celebs this year, but then again I'm more interested in watching the professionals anyway!

The line up for each of the two shows has been announced (from BBC website):

On Friday 30th September the couples performing for the first time on live television will be:

?Audley
?Dan
?Lulu
?Robbie
?Russell

Then on Saturday 1st October the couples performing for the first time together will be:

?Chelsee
?Edwina
?Harry
?Holly
?Jason
?Nancy
?Rory

Please note the running order has yet to be confirmed. The celebrities have been listed above in alphabetical order.

They will dance either a Waltz or a Cha Cha Cha, but I'm not 100% sure who is doing what.

My overriding thought in the run up for the series so far has been "I hope the wardrobe department come up with some decent foundations for poor Chelsee!"
That outfit they've put her in for the promo shots makes her boobs look humungous

Anyone else care to share their thoughts in advance?

He wasn't that bad, seen a lot worse. Think they were a bit harsh, apart from Len. Really liked the bottom half of Katya's dress, shame they matched it to the wrong top half...

Why is Anita dressed like a liquorice allsort again?

Oh dear - not sure what you think, but Anita looked a little all over the place there... love love love Robin but she just looked a bit out of her depth!

Can't say she doesn't give it loads though - she is full on for her age!

No expert, but that looked really messy!

Actually Alesha I did care that she didn't point her toes!

Such a different viennese waltz to Dans - really beautiful!

I know the Sleb ladies have it a bit easier as they don't lead, but that was really delicate. I think James always does this kind of thing well - his rhumba's are always really beautiful too!

I really liked that! DD asked if Alex was a princess!

Not bad actually - I am warming to Rory quite a lot, always think impressionists are a bit boring as they always just lapse into impressions but he seems quite nice and doesn't do it too often iykwim!

Good score - well deserved! Love Erin's dress as well

Rory and Erin? Loved it. Not qualified to comment on the dancing. Think they're great together.

I want Erin's dress. Also liked Lionel Blair being there (he's what, 104?)

Oh hell, here comes Lulu...

Perhaps it's because it's Lulu but I just didn't like that! Bit too fast for my liking as well and her dress... oh dear!

Lulu aka Bride of Frankenstein. Still, Brendan seems to be enjoying himself, was grinning the whole way through.

Ooh, a row about lifts. Just like old times

Tears in rehearsal. Woe. Didn't like Lulu's dress. From my inexpert point of view there didn't seem much rumba in there. Agree with Craig about the lift.

Lulu did well though - a couple of dodgy bits but the expression was great - great poise.

Lulu must have lived in 5" heels forever though.

What the hell is lulu wearing?! Eurgh!! Didn't like it but it wasn't That bad!

It's always annloyed me but for some reason I just can't switch it off this year but whenever they show clips of the judges comments in people's promos all you can hear is bloody Bruce butting in at the end of EVERY comment... just shut up... This is by far the worst thing of watching it live and you can't even escape him on the pres-recorded stuff, grrrrrr!
