aitch as soon as the gangers were introduced i automatically thought it was a ganger doctor who died. if gangers were exact reproductions down to blood clots in the brain then why not regeneration capabilities too?
tash i completely know what you mean about the eps being switched round but it's more than that. there is just too much repetition of ideas and concepts iykwim.
eg - when you think about it, of the 11 episodes we have had this season, 7 have obviously featured copies/clones/the same person in two different timelines - that we know of:
- Impossible Astronaut (two doctors)
- Rebel Flesh (obviously the workers and the doctor)
- Almost People (ditto)
- Good man goes to war (ganger melody)
- Let's Kill Hitler (Mels/River and Tesselecta pretending to be anyone it needed to replicate)
- Night Terrors (a "cuckoo" alien who pretended to be human to assimilate into the family)
- Girl Who Waited (Amy in two different timestreams)
we have also had a motif of illness used in 2 eps (Curse of the Black Spot and Girl Who Waited)
2 eps where aliens consume energy in the form of faith/souls/tardises (God Complex and Doctor's Wife)
2 eps where nightmares are featured (God Complex and Night Terrors) - albeit these two are almost mirror images of each other; in one George and his dad needed to have faith to overcome the nightmare, while in the other people needed to abandon their faith to survive. Also - in the first half of the series Madame Kovarian would bleed through into Amy's consciousness almost like a waking dream...
i mean - that is repetitive, no?
