Yum yum, what will they bake? Anyone got any gossip? Does Susan wonder whether biscuit eaters love their children? Who's for the Caff of Shame?

Why is zoe channeling Margaret thatcher on you've been fired?

Jux · 01/07/2011 21:13

I only started watching this a couple of weeks ago, but dd used to love it and we're just getting into it. Can I ask some questions about this series?

From what I remember on the odd bit I've seen in earlier series (and my mum used to talk about it a lot), the candidates tended to have a bit more, well, sense than seems to be the case this time. Are they always really this clueless and idiotic? (not to mention horrible, Melody springs to mind obviously; but there was ghastly smarmy guy with the moustache, and a woman who did a ridiculous pitch for the phone app).

Was that a love bite on the losing Team Leader's neck? Was her leg all bruised because Melody had been kicking it? (Loved the way M just stalked past without even looking at poor woman at the end.)

Why the H hasn't the old man got rid of Melody? Is it because without her causing such dissension among the ranks and being so obviously without insight this series would be dull dull dull?

Heads Up!

I don't see this mentioned anywhere, but it's on 2 nights next week. Wednesday is the 'sell this palette' challenge and Thursday is CVs BABY!

MrsFruitcake · 05/07/2011 13:12

Gawd, I'm so excited, just got an e-mail informing me I have an audition for The Apprentice 8!

SnowieBear · 05/07/2011 13:22

Fruitcake, is that so? Whoa!

Tell me, just between us two, are you actually a good professional, or more on the nutcase front? On current record, they don't seem to pick many good, solid people, the odds are better if you are the eccentric, deluded type... Grin

Now, seriously, well done, you! You MUST tell all, subject to T&C and any NDAs in place Smile

Tee it is on 2 nights this week, but CV task is not quite yet - that is ALWAYS when there's just 4 left. Thursday is profiling - to the remaining 5 get, er, profiled. There is Sirallan (I think), Nick and Karren, and they interview friends and family, former bosses etc. As Mrs Tom, I'll be on it of course. Shall I use a special MN codeword?

Jux · 05/07/2011 21:29

Fanjo. Like to see you get that inGrin

MrsFruitcake · 06/07/2011 19:27

Applied about 6 weeks ago but had forgotten all about it. Got an e-mail yesterday saying I'd been selected for 'interview' in central London in a few weeks time. Am expected to bring my CV, be prepared for on-camera interviews and have pics taken. Also advised to come in 'business attire'!

If I get in, I can only have telephone contact with my family & children once a week for the 8 weeks it takes to film. That may be a dealbreaker for me!

MamBombadil · 06/07/2011 20:50

Gosh that is quite a harsh rule....not allowed to see them at all?

Tee2072 · 06/07/2011 20:53

Ah, okay Hazel.

Should we have a new thread or keep this one for tonight?

Tee2072 · 06/07/2011 20:54

Wow, Fruitcake, just saw that about your contact! Very exciting. I know the one contact a week for 8 weeks thing would break the deal for me.

MamBombadil · 06/07/2011 20:56

I remember the profiling prog from last year - alot of folk thought the blonde lass was harsh on her DH who was a SAHD. I didn't personally - they seemed to have a great arrangement....but it is always interesting to see more of them all.

SuePurblybilt · 06/07/2011 20:59

who is going to start this week's thread then?

OP posts:
MamBombadil · 06/07/2011 21:00

Dh and i always switch BBC1 on at this point - and get one line from Will Mellor in some comedy or another - followed by canned laughter and credits. Every week Grin

Tee2072 · 06/07/2011 21:00

Are we starting a new one?

SuePurblybilt · 06/07/2011 21:01

new thread

MamBombadil · 06/07/2011 21:02

Jux - Zoe the team leader had many operations on her neck due to cancer in her late teens. Not sure about the legs - maybe the drugs make her bruise easily?

Either that or it was Melody Grin

Jux · 07/07/2011 00:04

Oh, poor girl, I didn't know.

foxinsocks · 07/07/2011 05:40

Where's the other thread? I can't click on that link (on the app) and can't see it in Telly Addicts or in Active Convos (if you could let me know the topic, I'll hunt it down from there). Thanks

foxinsocks · 07/07/2011 05:41

Ah ok can see it now, thanks Smile
