Can someone explain to me the bit between Calinda and Blake and Will?

Did Will tell Blake to kneecap the witness - but only metaphorically and Blake did it - literally??

And Blake is trying to set up Calinda for it? And Calinda is trying to set Blake up for it?

I'm here! Wasn't it brilliant? Loads of potential for the next series and no huge cliffhanger. Just left me wanting more. When is it going to be back?

tribpot · 09/06/2011 23:57

Nice, very nice. Wonder if the ending was still a bit Ross and Rachel (have visions of Alicia screeching "we were on a breaaaakkkkkk" at some point in the next series) but, yes, plenty to look forward to.

I'm assuming that like 2009 and 2010, it'll start in America in September but we won't start seeing it til January 2012 (gulp) as per series 1 and 2.

southofthethames · 10/06/2011 04:22

Really enjoy this show. The Peter Florrick character is yuck! Eli Gold,Cary Agos and Diane Lockhart are great characters, hope to see their storylines develop next season. The weirdo judges are a great laugh. Those who missed it, you can watch it online at the channel 4 website.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 10/06/2011 07:43

I don't think that they will go full steam ahead with Will/Alicia next season. They have done quite well at the slow burn (without dragging it out in a painful manner).

flibbertigibbert · 10/06/2011 12:45

Just watched yesterday's episode. Can't wait for it to come back. I think the butler is going to cause problems for Alicia.

Think I'm going to dig out some old episodes on 4OD (on holiday atm)

PorkChopSter · 10/06/2011 13:24

Just watched last night's episode, oh that was good Grin

BitOfFun · 10/06/2011 13:35

I agree about the butler/concierge- WTF was Alicia thinking? Her face is all over the media- how does she imagine the wife of the State's Attorney can manage to hire the Presidential Suite of a major hotel anonymously? Massive error of judgement on her part, and hugely out of character, I thought.

That said, I have enjoyed the show enormously.

cocoachannel · 10/06/2011 20:12

BRILLIANT!! Can't wait for series 3.

Good call on Jerome the butler flibbertigibbert

Italiangreyhound · 10/06/2011 22:16

Mummmmm, I was left thinking 'The name of your personal butler is Jerome! Kept expecting them to run into someone they knew!

That child who pressed the lift buttons was about 12! What 12 year old does that!

Such a good episode. I think Will is so great, I mean the actor not the character. Nice song too!

Italiangreyhound · 10/06/2011 22:19

Beautiful

wineisfine · 10/06/2011 22:57

I LOVED the last episode - but I thought (think??) fivehead - great name by the way - is pregnant as they kept putting Will next to kids/people talking about being a parent/etc. So glad that didn't happen though.

I watched it twice just to see them snog. Am a teenager ;)

MediumPretty · 10/06/2011 23:20

Aren't there usually cameras in lifts? I bet Will and Mrs States Attorney's snog ends up on YouTube!

Italiangreyhound · 11/06/2011 11:03

The Good Wife is so fab and it is so great to see Josh Charles, I have not seen him since he appeared as a teenager in Dead Poet's Society (he was 18)! www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKoeA3886BI

Anyone know what he was doing in between?

Wineisfine, what is the reference to fivehead? Who is pregnant, do you think? If you mean that because they 'kept putting Will next to kids/people talking about being a parent/etc' do you think his girlfriend is going to be pregnant or did you mean in real life? Sorry, I never notice things and I did not notice that, must watch it again. Any excuse! I guess that would be a twist, JM and Will finally able to get together and then boom! Something between them again!

Maybe the girlfriend could pretend to be pregnant ... oh no that is a bit too Eastenders!

I hate to be unpatriotic but when I think of my my all times fav TV shows quite a few are American! Currently The Good Wife, Frasier and Burn Notice - and I used to be very keen on Cheers, and a bit of Sex and the City (too rude for me but I liked the story lines!) and even Friends a long time ago!.

Italiangreyhound · 11/06/2011 11:03

Sorry

Italiangreyhound · 11/06/2011 11:04

Third time lucky

wineisfine · 11/06/2011 11:18

Italiangreyhoundk, fivehead is Will's girlfriend - I thought (when there was that phonecall etc), that she was going to reveal she was pregnant. Maybe she is! But when Will said "my girlfriend is... in London", my heart was in my mouth!

The US does some brilliant shows - but we are very lucky to be watching them in the UK, I tried to watch some of TGW in the states when there last year and the constant adverts really made it hard to follow :(

Italiangreyhound · 11/06/2011 20:38

wineisfine yes, I did an exchange with the USA about 2 decades ago when at college and I found all the adverts very annoying when watching TV. Why is she called fivehead???

wineisfine · 11/06/2011 21:20

Because her forehead is so large - so it's a fivehead Wink

Bue · 11/06/2011 22:44

Well that was all very predictable... but I loved it! The two year wait for Will and Alicia was definitely worth it Grin

Italiangreyhound · 12/06/2011 01:19

What can I watch now instead?

Looking for something else!

I have fallen in love with an ice skater in the process!

I found him when I was looking for the song from the end of the programme the other night. Only joking wineisfine but yes, I am a teenager too!

northender · 13/06/2011 20:45

I don't watch a huge amount of tv but have been completely taken over by this and will really miss it. Hope it's not whipped away by another channel like a Sky subscription one that we don't have.

Mummyloveskisses · 13/06/2011 21:16

OMG (puts hand in air) I'm a teenager too Grin
Just sooooo lovely, roll on Jan 2012

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 23/06/2011 23:19

Ooh, excited, More4 are showing Series 1 again starting next Monday at 1.30pm, my Sky+ has picked it up.

JimJammum · 24/06/2011 22:10

I think Will was looking at family etc because that's what he wants for himself and that's what he would get if things developed with Alicia. At the end of S1 she says he needed a plan re her kids rather than just romance and now they are showing that he is ready to make that plan.
Amazing episode and love Will and Alicia together. I think her new job role opens up the possibility of them working together if she is reporting to Eli rather than Will. Interesting to see how they work alongside Peter too.

Bue · 25/06/2011 18:52

Yes the whole reporting-to-Eli thing is going to be BRILLIANT given the marital estrangement and potential run for the Senate!
