Where's Reality? Her SIL claimed to be 1lb at birth, you know.

Emmanana · 28/03/2011 21:36

Oh just look at his tiny arms move in response to Mum's voice and touch. In tears here....

ta mumatron. another question sorry, when she came in was it because she had overly swollen feet? did she have pre existing problems that they were monitoring as she is only 34 weeks?

ohmeohmy · 28/03/2011 21:37

she had swollen feet and headaches

mumatron · 28/03/2011 21:37

dunno ng missed that bit. too busy looking for the thread Grin

BitOfFun · 28/03/2011 21:37

I thought it sounded like pre-eclampsia, but I'm not sure they actually said anything.

MrsChemist · 28/03/2011 21:37

I think her MIL mentioned something about her high blood pressure.

Sparklyboots · 28/03/2011 21:37

Why isn't one of them in there with tha t poor girl? She was crying and trembling, poor love

mumatron · 28/03/2011 21:38

mil seems nice

ShowOfHands · 28/03/2011 21:38

The focus probably is on her. She's being prepped for an emcs. They've edited it to get you all riled up. Don't believe it for a second. They do seem to like painting the fathers in certain lights. Makes for more compulsive viewing.

Verbal confidence is often a coping mechanism.

whoops · 28/03/2011 21:38

the biggest triplet was 1oz smaller than my ds when he was born at 33 weeks, the neonatal Dr looking after them looked after my ds too

MimieD · 28/03/2011 21:38

they have to prep her first and then the dad will be allowed in

Albrecht · 28/03/2011 21:38

They said they would come and get him in as soon as they could.

ng1412 · 28/03/2011 21:38

thanks all, just checking as i am coming up to 34 weeks and this is my first so completely clueless!!

ShowOfHands · 28/03/2011 21:38

They take the woman in first and fetch the partner afterwards. Always done that way. I refused and insisted dh come in from the beginning. I may have sworn.

darleneconnor · 28/03/2011 21:38

why, 4404, do you know something about this case the rest of us dont?

If it was an emergency they'd do a crash c-section, but they're dilly-dallying about which makes me think there motives are more to do with not being sued if things go wrong than what is in the best interests of the Mum and child. It's not as if we've seen the mum begging for surgery. It's being imposed on her and she is traumatised.

NotaMopsa · 28/03/2011 21:39

she looks YOUNG for almost 30

Sparklyboots · 28/03/2011 21:39

BitOfFun · 28/03/2011 21:40

This is reminding me of the machine that goes ping and "Show the baby to the mother" Grin

Ciske · 28/03/2011 21:40

I'm gonna miss the receptionist.

TobyLerone · 28/03/2011 21:40
