We caught up with William from the last series in the Christmas special - he's home and doing really well although if I remember rightly he did still need some oxygen support.

CaveMum · 28/03/2011 21:30

I know I wouldn't be able to relax with my own mother there, let alone my MIL!

Disclaimer - I love my mum very much, but she is a worrier and not very good with blood (covers her eyes when watching Casualty Grin)

Albrecht · 28/03/2011 21:30

Oh see that locking of eyes between son and mum

MrsChemist · 28/03/2011 21:31

Awwww... Smile that's good. I sobbed my heart out watching that episode.

heather1980 · 28/03/2011 21:31

i had my mum there too! the room was very full!

ohmeohmy · 28/03/2011 21:32

he's getting on my tits. It is NOT ABOUT YOU

CisforCookie · 28/03/2011 21:32

Hello!

Sorry to crash the thread, but my brother in law is running the london marathon for the NICU at the hospital on OBEM (I've already started another thread). I know everyone is strapped for cash, but many of the poorly babies on this series have been fantastically looked after on the NICU, they do brilliant work and always need to fund more cots (my sis in law is a Neonatal nurse on the ward).

Anyway, if anyone can spare a few quid heres the link to his fund-raising page:

uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=JamesBryant

Enjoy the rest of the program (even if it does make you blub!)

Many thanks x

My mother would fold her arms, tut and claim she didn't know what the fuss was about. My brother and I were sneezed out and it hurt no more than a stubbed toe. Childbirth isn't remotely painful and if you say it is, you're just fussing.

Ciske · 28/03/2011 21:32

"You're gonna brave", aka "You're not gonna faint and bring your mum into the room tol hold your hand like the big pansey you are".

Oh, good luck darling

BitOfFun · 28/03/2011 21:33

I imagine his mum could have done without that image of a silver-backed gorilla shagging though...

littlewater · 28/03/2011 21:33

show of hands,
it sounds like my mother.

darleneconnor · 28/03/2011 21:33

she is really scared

rushing to a c-section for decels seems like overkill to me but maybe there's more we dont know

deemented · 28/03/2011 21:33

Ahh.. seeing her babies for the first time...

ShowOfHands · 28/03/2011 21:33

Of course it's about him too. He is becoming a father.

mumatron · 28/03/2011 21:33
ng1412 · 28/03/2011 21:34

why is she having an emergency c-section? missed that bit...

FourFortyFour · 28/03/2011 21:34

What did it say on the screen? I only caught the bit about the babies heart rate dropping.

Emmanana · 28/03/2011 21:34

Nando's facial features remind me of a lad in my class at primary school; he had some disability, I remember it was a 'syndrome' of some sort.

ohmeohmy · 28/03/2011 21:34

I know that SOH but the focus should be on her and what she is about to go through without everyone being more concerned for him and his bravery/or not.

mumatron · 28/03/2011 21:34

ng baby heart rate dropping

FourFortyFour · 28/03/2011 21:34

darlene - no, it so is not overkill.

NotaMopsa · 28/03/2011 21:35

she's a very verbal confident first time mum

Sparklyboots · 28/03/2011 21:35

this is almost too hard to watch... parents are being brilliant; I'd be jelly
