OP posts:
DirtyMartini · 24/01/2011 21:30

Seems wrong.

PrincessBoo · 24/01/2011 21:30

Yes expat I agree.

MrsChemist · 24/01/2011 21:30

I was admitted at 4cm (though my waters had gone already)

AnathemaDevice · 24/01/2011 21:30

My internals were all OK too. To be honest, the only bit of labour I remember hurting was the injection for the local before I had an episiotomy. I know the rest of it hurt, but I don't remember it. I just remember the needle feeling like a red hot poker!
Here's hoping I have a baby with a slightly smaller head this time around...

Shallishanti · 24/01/2011 21:30

maybe she lives v close

Blackletterday · 24/01/2011 21:30

Not crying in a bad way I mean petitdonkey, obviously some babies are calm and have good apgars at birth. I have been runner in theatre for a few births and always held my breath. It's lovely though seeing births, couldn't hack the midwife thing though,v stressfull. I love this prog.

DirtyMartini · 24/01/2011 21:31

lol Shalli

MsInterpret · 24/01/2011 21:31

We've never seen anyone sent home on this prog before have we? They're normally all sitting around for what seems like ages with nothing happening!

hollyoaks · 24/01/2011 21:31

Anathema - funny, I barely felt that

MrsPennySworth · 24/01/2011 21:31

I didn't think they would send you home at 4cm either... Maybe it's because she said her cervix hasn't thinned out much as well?

Panzee · 24/01/2011 21:31

Maybe she wants to go home?

KangarooCaught · 24/01/2011 21:32

Can so sympathise Sad - sent away and no lovely pain relief.

After being sent away I nearly delivered in the footwell of the car, except he got stuck (hence why blue)

NonnoMum · 24/01/2011 21:32

Not sure why Princess Anne Hosp agreed to this as they are laying themselves open for criticism. We all feel that giong home 4cm with 2nd baby after an awful first birth is not on!

\where's Old Skool when you need her?

clayre · 24/01/2011 21:32

I feel like I have missed out on so much labouring watching this, like ive been robbed! Think I need to talk dp into having another!

AllOverIt · 24/01/2011 21:32

My internals weren't too bad. I remember feeling better when they did one so I knew how far along I was.... it's no more painful than the rest of the labour, or so I found.

QueenLaQueefer · 24/01/2011 21:32

Late to procedings.

The sister seems lovely!

Being sent home does seem a bit odd. I went from 0-fully in about an hour with DC3.

HermyaLovesLysander · 24/01/2011 21:33

That does seem a bit wrong to send the poor girl home, that'll really affect her won't it. Sad

NonnoMum · 24/01/2011 21:33

Hope Heart Baby Lady gets her miracle... x

Shallishanti · 24/01/2011 21:33

Blimey KC

emmanana · 24/01/2011 21:33

Am I the only one screamimg please don't risk cardiac ladies life and make her have a VD....

TootaLaFruit · 24/01/2011 21:34

Can't believe she's been sent home! Both my dds births were like the first one... blue, cords round their necks, silence that felt like forever. 'Tis the worst feeling in the world, but maybe it makes that first eventual cry all the more fantastic.

NonnoMum · 24/01/2011 21:34

Go Wayne.

You've read all the books, haven't you?

MrsChemist · 24/01/2011 21:34

As an aside, is it true that there is a contractions app for the iphone?

DirtyMartini · 24/01/2011 21:34

God I hated those car journeys ... owwww

showmewine · 24/01/2011 21:34

I can't believe they sent her home i was given pain relief at 3cm (induction maybe pain is worse??)
