How tall are your 13 year old sons?

My son is(nearly) 13 and is 150cm(4ft 11)At the moment he seems small compared to his peers but I'm guessing he'll prob grow lots between 13 and 14. But will prob wont be that tall. I am 5ft 6.5 and dh is 5ft 5.5.

Ds (13) is now taller than me and I'm nearly 5' 6". Dh is about 5' 10"

My ds is 5ft 9. I'm tall as is most of my family, dh is under 5ft 5

DS2 (13) is 5’10”. His dad is 6’1”. I am only 5’2” though. DS1 stopped at 5’9”.

OP, nearly the same as you. Ds is 13 in March and 4"11 and I'm a fraction taller. He is slim.but not skinny but doesn't have a huge appetite so dont think his hormones have kicked in yet. His dad is about 5" 10 so he probably won't be a 6footer anyway. Hes a bot self consciously about it as a lot of his mates are filling out and getting g taller, but he is not the smallest.

My DS is 12.3, he's about 148cm and no signs yet of having any sort of spurt. He's amongst the shortest in his year. I'm 5'7" and DH is 6'0" with plenty of height my side of the family where the boys traditionally grow suddenly and massively in their late teens so I'm expecting him to be around 6'0". The girls in my family grow early, his 9yo sister is taller than him and has no signs of puberty yet.

At 13 DS was about 5’5, now at 16 he’s 6’2 and it all seemed to happen very quickly. He’d go to bed and wake up noticeably taller sometimes, very strange.

Lotus bell - I always wanted to be petite like you. I'm quite tall for a women by dh short for a man so will be interesting to see how tall he becomes!

DS is 13 next week and 5'3. I'm 5'2.

At just 13 my DS was the same height as me, 5"11.5 … and 18 months later I don't think he's 6'1. His friends are catching up around him! His Dad is perhaps 6'3" or 6'4, I'm not sure. Both DS and DD grew early. DS' voice was changing as he turned 12 though he managed to keep singing treble till 12.5 just.

DS2 nearly 14 is 5ft 8. Isn't the rule of thumb they'll end up roughly double their height at 3.

Not very 5' 2" .

He's a bit annoyed.

Dh is 6'4"

My son is 13 and will be 14 in August. He is exactly 6ft. I am 5ft 6 and his Dad is 5ft 9.

DS is 12 (nearly 13) and is 5ft 6. A lot of his friends who are either 12 or 13 are a lot shorter. Some similar in size to my average sized 9 year old. They will have growth spurts at different ages and some will continue growing well after others have stopped.

Don't worry - I work in a large secondary school and the difference in individual students' growth rates at this age is astonishing. Some are about 2 ft taller than others, but they all seem to catch up sooner or later. Some reach 6ft in Year 7 and then just seem to stop growing, while some don't 'peak' till Year 11!

Mine is 5"6.

I'm 5"3.5 and DH is 5"11.

Nearly 6 foot (almost 14) - I'm short but his dad is 6ft 3'. He grew very quickly over the summer between years 8 and 9.

DS is 12, 13 in a couple of months. He's 5ft 6.5

Mine is 13, almost 14 and is just under 5 ft. Everyone is considerably taller and he gets bullied a bit. We took him to the docs and he is not going through puberty but prob will at about 14/15 and get a growth spurt like his dad and his uncles did. It's all he thinks about and breaks my heart.

I remember DS’s height at 13 because that was the year he grew taller than me (I'm 5’4”).
He finished the year at 5’8” and grew another three inches in the next couple of years.

5 foot 10 inches and shoe size 11

I've just checked the height markers on one of our door frames. At exactly 13 my DS was 150cm. He's now 5 ft 9 at 19. Between 14 and 15 he grew a lot ! One of his friends was always much smaller than him, and experienced puberty late but is now over 6ft.

Everyone is in the normal range here, but when you are at the tallest end and especially for boys at the shortest end, it can be tough.

12.8 and 5’8”. I am 5’9” and DH is 6’1”. My money is 6’3”.
