What are you getting your teens for Xmas?

Quite early but like to start early. Ds has asked for an iPhone 11 which is definitely not happening as the price is extortionate. What are you getting your teens for Xmas as I really have no clue. He has an iPhone 6s right now.

I am clueless what to get DD13.

She already has an IPhone in contract. She's not particularly materialistic, isn't into gaming. She likes high street clothes and make up but she has tonnes of both already.

I often get her concert tickets so would quite like something different but I'm at a loss.

Mortifiedmummy12 · 19/10/2019 17:23

I know it is so hard when they’re teenagers, I might just give mine some money so in the future , if he sees something, he can buy it. I know he might be disappointed with nothing to open though.

I've got a girl and a boy and will be buying them clothes, trainers, phone case, PlayStation points, dressing gown and pyjamas, posters, perfume/aftershave set, nice stationary.

If I was stuff for physical gifts I'd get them vouchers for days out such as the cinema, sporty activity or concert tickets.

Outedsochanged · 19/10/2019 17:36

A custom bike respray for her racing track bike. Bike was second hand back in summer and a bit scratched up.
Doesn't help 99.9% of you though.. Sorry!

rookjayy · 20/10/2019 02:03

My ds15 came to me and asked for a crocodile onsie from m&s😂he has excellent taste.Other than that a new skateboard and clothes as he's currently growing at a alarming rate.

Travelban · 20/10/2019 07:51

DS wants a new watch, dd wants an ipad but she is also contributing to it. Like others, I am also getting some clothes, jewellery, makeup to unwrap.

ExpletiveDelighted · 20/10/2019 07:58

I have absolutely no idea (13 and 15, one DD and one DS) Neither needs any tech, they aren't into clothes/trainers, fragrance/aftershave or any sort of cosmetics, in fact DD has specified "no beauty stuff". Neither needs dressing gowns or onesies, though DS could do with some pyjamas. I am thinking event tickets, I did that last year.

itsgettingweird · 20/10/2019 08:26

Ds15 is saving up for a gaming computer he's building himself. I feined interest asked him about it and he gladly sent me the pick list. So I've bought 2 bits and my family may get some parts. He should then have enough money to buy the rest.

Also have stocking stuff/ random gifts.

Sweets.
Lynx
HP uno
HP slippers
HP pen
HP fleece
Light ball for bath

I've also ordered him the HP Lego advent calendar - he has the city one but has had it for years so this one will actually be surprise characters Grin

SleepyKat · 20/10/2019 08:31

Money/vouchers
Hydroflask
Some make up bits
External hard drive

Milicentbystander72 · 20/10/2019 08:36

My dd 15 yr old has asked for a Polaroid camera. Still pondering that one.

Ds 12 still likes Lego if it's complicated (pricey!).

I'll also get them

Funky pops
New slippers
Maybe a new hoodie for DS
Pyjamas
Bits of nice/funny stationary.

subwaysaladfan · 20/10/2019 08:49

Mine are 17,17,15
Dd17 wants a tv for her room (she's just got her own room after sharing with her sister for 18 months)

Ds17 I have no idea Confused might just give him money and get him some aftershave and boxers ect. (He has expensive taste and his trainers are £160 alone)

Dd15 she's just got a new phone as it was her bday this week. I have no idea about Xmas for her because she changes her mind daily.

Every year gets harder and harder with this lot.

Pinkyyy · 20/10/2019 08:52

Louis Vuitton bag, belt and trainers and a fox fur coat. Luckily she loves fashion so it's easy to buy for her.

PollyDangerCrackers · 20/10/2019 08:59

DS is 16, and computer game obsessed, and so far I've got him 3 games that he's requested, plus a huge fortnite nerf gun and a target that'll make him laugh and get played with by all the blokes in the family Grin

Bouledeneige · 20/10/2019 11:19

Pinkyyy are you kidding?

I have no idea for mine. I got my DS17 iphone airpods last year which he loved (I was quite pleased as he hadn't asked for them). He doesnt want driving lessons. Usually asks for clothes from urban outfitters - certain brands also. Maybe trainers.

My DD19 usually wants clothes or trainers. Maybe an overnight bag. But she's at uni now so I guess not really part of this poll.

Ffsnosexallowed · 20/10/2019 11:22

Pinkyyy - is that a typo? Did you mean a faux fur coat??

Pinkyyy · 20/10/2019 11:26

Not kidding/ typo it's a fox fur coat and will last for years and years. Similarly with the Louis Vuitton, the monogram stuff is classic and she will get years of use out of them.

Hoppinggreen · 20/10/2019 11:29

Mine is getting concert tickets, well we’ve already got them but the concert isn’t until January. She knows as it’s what she asked for

Iwantacookie · 20/10/2019 11:31

Not a clue. None of them want anything. I however have an impressive list going on 😁

BentNeckLady · 20/10/2019 11:32

We’re getting our almost 15 year old

An off shore sea cadet course
New trainers
Calligraphy stuff
Water colouring stuff
Bath bombs
And money!

Themazeoflife · 20/10/2019 11:35

Trainers
Money
Clothes

WatcherintheRye · 20/10/2019 11:36

Mine helpfully email me a selection of items complete with links, so I just pick the affordable ones Grin

TeenPlusTwenties · 20/10/2019 16:39

DD2, 15 will get

  • a ride on a husky sled
  • an electric blanket
  • a divergent themed hoodie (if I can find one suitable)

She's not into fancy clothes and makeup and attitude. Which explains why she was asked for ID in CEX yesterday when buying a 12-rated film!

Sadik · 20/10/2019 16:58

Considering a leather biker jacket for 17y/o dd, if that doesn't happen I have no idea - hoping for inspiration here!

smartiecake · 20/10/2019 18:26

A real fur coat?? Won't most of her friends be horrified and then she will refuse to wear it again?

Pinkyyy · 20/10/2019 20:30

@smartiecake most of her friends already have one, my DD has one with fox fur round the hood already. I can't see her not wearing something just because her friends don't like it, she's not the type.
