tracey..love that poncho..want to order but dithering over white company sizing as never used them before..any tips..how do folks find their sizing generally..thanks

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2010 20:38

hey folks. Parties were good, another tomorrow.

But I found out something that was a bit annoying and worse still I can't tell you as I also found out some are on mn. Bugger!

Hells how will you get rid of the nits?

hf128219 · 10/07/2010 20:41

Evening all! What a scorcher today. Went to a lovely fair today. And just had a BBQ.

Like that WC poncho too. I would say their sizing is quite generous.

Glad everyone's sports days and parties have gone well.

Marsha Sounds interesting!!

ApuskiDusky · 10/07/2010 20:42

Hi folks, hope everyone is enjoying the multitude of parties going on!

Things are going OK here, ds2 is being a dream baby so far, sleeping well and feeding is going fine. My CS tummy is proving more problematic - and I have nothing to wear to accommodate it (all my careful planning of postpartum wear has gone out of the window at the moment) - I've ordered a couple of trousers from Sweaty Betty but am in need of more bottoms that are gentle to tender tummies, so I am perusing the sales.

And I've put up a baby photo on my profile! (will take it down in a day or two).

Reine, I find White Company true to size. I'd buy their lounge trousers but they're too short.

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2010 20:47

ach hf it's not hugely interesting but I wanted to have a moan with you guys. But I am probably identifiable so have to restrain.

hf128219 · 10/07/2010 20:53

Apuski He is gorgeous!

Marsha Dash! But I know what you mean about being 'identifiable' - not you in particular!

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2010 20:55

I know it's a bugger but there was a tiny bit of chat about something on here and I was argh!

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2010 20:58

Apuski he is beautiful!!!!

hf128219 · 10/07/2010 21:01

Marsha It wasn't along the lines of 'Have you read that A&W thread - who do they think they are?'

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2010 21:08

No but I was eek especially cos it was with said complimenter. I mean how embarrassing. (and really lovely people btw ) Something about prep schools and better stop!

hf128219 · 10/07/2010 21:10

Marsha Yes, stop!

blossoming · 10/07/2010 21:12

Oh, how gorgeous apuski.
Glad things are going well.
I couldn't believe my dc3, sleeping, feeding, not crying, no reflux, and sleeping through by 6 weeks! In hindsight, the other two were hard work. Imagine if I'd had dc3 first!!

FritziGreenEyes · 10/07/2010 21:25

He is adorable apuski!

ReineDeSaba · 10/07/2010 21:31

Apuski..he's perfect!so so beautiful..hope your tummy isn't too sore..just try not to overdo things right now..probably nigh on impossible with a toddler too.

Thanks for the WC info..you ladies are so quick off the mark..have ordered already, though does feel odd thinking about A/W in this sweltering heat.

ltec..re-the 'lady' from your nursery..sorry but WTF!..she sounds like a mentalist.

notyummy..think cake and traceyb really summed up well what was going on with the thoughtless cow woman who decided to share her theories on schools..Also please can I pick your brains..I think ABO mentioned previously not losing weight while shredding..I am definitely more toned(or am I more self delusional)but haven't even lost a pound..will my new muscles weigh more than my fat[hopeful emoticon]

fritz..I love making clothes for DD1s dolls too as dont have to be stitch perfect..last project was a leopardskin maxi for Barbie(hasten to add..not made from my dh's castoffs!)

Hope wedding was fab everything..bet you looked fabulous.

Finally have a party to look forward to myself..record producer's 50th in sept...will i need to buy rats to get down with the kidsbut would genuine appreciate any ideas for an outfit..

notyummy · 10/07/2010 21:46

apuski He is gorgeous...... That newborn hair!

reine- I think you can loose weight when shredding if you are dieting fairly carefully, however as a form if exercise itself it will not burn that many calories. What it obviously does do us build muscle tone, and toned muscle is smaller/ tighter than untoned flesh. Therefore you may not lose weight but you could drop a dress size. The additional bonus is that muscle burns more calories than fat so your new body will be burning more calories in everything it does.

notyummy · 10/07/2010 21:47

Sorry for typos. Bloody iPhone!

LetThemEatCake · 10/07/2010 21:59

apuski he is heaven Hope your tummy feels better soon

marsha Oh no!! did you freeze? I would've been like a rabbit in the headlights!

Reine - ooh, exciting! how about something along the lines of a harem jumpsuit?

hf glad you had a lovely day. Hope everyone else did too, and that those of you out tonight are having fun. Special shout out to EIE at the wedding.

Really like the WC poncho but am going to hold out for a camel cape. Already have a chocolate brown poncho, must dig out. Not until September though - at the earliest!!

Party good. Tired now. Need sleep plus tranquilisers and several stiff drinks before tomorrow. Wish me luck.

ReineDeSaba · 10/07/2010 22:00

thank you yummy that's really helpful..am not in a hurry to restrict diet..am
terminallygreedy breastfeeding a lot..will aim to up the exercise quantity and vary it up a bit..perhaps some swimming and (gulp) running..should stand me in good stead for future sports days when dds hit school

hf128219 · 10/07/2010 22:07

Just had a phone call from my mum. My dad has had a bad fall - 8 staples in his head and being kept in hospital overnight for observations.

hellsbelles · 10/07/2010 22:11

apuski - he's gorgeous - I'm actually feeling quite broody now!

marsha - oh my goodness...I would have started stuttering and then run away .

Headlice - they are easy enough to get rid of - it's just 'hard manual labour' . Hedrin on heads...change all bed linen and towels. Cover up cushions...hoover sofas (anywhere the blighters might land). And even though it says not to bother with Hedrin I still do combing with a nitty gritty comb every few days until I'm sure they are gone (slightly ocd about the whole thing I'm afraid).

Reine - we'll have fun planning that outfit.

Night all.

ReineDeSaba · 10/07/2010 22:12

I love the jumpsuit option ltec..have a really great one I bought in century 21 NYC.

lots of luck for tomorrow..your in-laws sound very testing..you always sound very patient and measured in your responses to k**bheads so I am sure you will glide through it beautifully as opposed to pushing them into the swimming pool as I would!

ReineDeSaba · 10/07/2010 22:16

oh hf..how awful for you..are they very far away..feeling quite teary for you..a nasty shock to get a call like that late at night..hope they can discharge him soon.

janeite · 10/07/2010 22:16

Baby pic is totally yummy! Gorgeous.

Can I gatecrash to ask about handwashing the Vivienne Westwood jersey dresses please?

hellsbelles · 10/07/2010 22:17

hf - sorry, x-post. I do hope he's o.k.

ApuskiDusky · 10/07/2010 22:18

Oh no, hf, hope everything is ok and you get reassured in the morning.
