Carciofi - SALEVIP gets 40% off stuff from Hush from midnight tonight.

Hells - hungover on a school day Jeans sound good - do you mean they're now shorts or you've cut the knees etc?

AllBuggiedOut · 09/07/2010 14:20

Ooh that's a good code tracey - off to check out Hush!

carciofi · 09/07/2010 14:27

Tracey, thanks, I got that email too. They are making up for the debacle of the Christmas sale!

Hells, have a good holiday.

notyummy · 09/07/2010 15:34

abo- whilst DH was taking dd to aforementioned nursery/school appts, I was put running so I do have to face the world when I sweat! I wear good sports bra, running tights/ Capri pants with a high lycra content to hold the wobbles in, and today in the heat, a purple vest top. Also sports shades to avoid wrinkles and flying insects, and iPod!

FritziGreenEyes · 09/07/2010 15:39

tracey - Thanks for the code. Have just filled up my basket with lovely stuff. Tempted to get a summer cardigown but maybe I'll wait for the winter cashmere ones. Not much need for sleeves at the moment.

Cargos could work with simple tank and glads carciofi?

abo - Have reconciled myself with summer colours. Next week I have my hair colour adjusted. Bit nervous about it because I have been auburn/golden brown for so long. Not sure how "cooler" brown will look

hells - Well done. I love a bit of DIY tailoring. I often sew things out of DH's old shirts. Not for myself though. Only DD and her dolls/cuddly toys.

AllBuggiedOut · 09/07/2010 17:00

I expect it will look stunning Fritzi - my hair is "au naturel" (aka mousy brown) which the colour woman approved of but the friend I went with who was a winter has had the red taken out of her hair colour and gone a darker cooler brown and she looks amazing. I was very wise today and didn't buy a dress that I loved the shape of but which made me look pale and ill (despite a healthy glow right now). Before I would have um-ed and ah-ed for ages, probably bought it and worn it just a few times. Now I have saved myself £80

Sports bra sorted, will attempt to source capri pants and vest top. I see sweaty betty's sale has started. Thanks for tips notyummy

How were sports days? It's DS2's on Monday and the forecast is heavy rain...

LetThemEatCake · 09/07/2010 17:11

afternoon all

scorcher! loving this weather. Sports day was fun. I won the race by a mile . Awful mum was there. Asked me for money (doing collection for teachers' pressies). I was gracious and dignified.

fritzi great glads!

NY people are soooo defensive about school stuff. In fact everything to do with kids. Feeding, sleeping, nappies, mode of birth ... it's never ending. Deep breaths and rise above it!

ABO - I wear sim to NY - Nike running tights, shock absorber sports bra, tank top etc.

on which note - tracey thanks for reminding me about sports bra - was wearing feeding bra and quickly changed when I read your post!!

bit p'd off with NaP - unwrapped my Bloch shoes last night and discovered that the "returns will only be accepted tag" was not attached!!! Emailed first thing this morning to let them know as am not sure yet whether to keep (the 41s seem a bit smaller than my other Bloch 41s, odd, no?) but no answer .... hmm.

bunny am delighted you got the horse bangle, I had the same thought when I ordered!! So much of what I buy has the "will it double as entertainment for the dc in times of need?" factor

carci did you get the Hush pants? I can't do silky bottoms, too many off-putting things for them to cling to, but you are very slender so will look fab!!

Go cake! Go cake!

Whoop, whoop!

blossoming · 09/07/2010 18:07

Okay, just had dinner. Dh chose jigsaw Breton, but accessorized with the Chanel, so you can let it pass!

Off to the races now.

Btw there was a parent's race. Came third!! Pe teacher won. Bil came last!!

traceybath · 09/07/2010 18:36

Yeay LTEC - but oh no to nasty mum doing collection - can you imagine what tat she'll buy the teacher.

Have a lovely evening Bloss!

AllBuggiedOut · 09/07/2010 19:00

Well done on gold and bronze places ladies! Have a great night bloss.

AllBuggiedOut · 09/07/2010 19:15

Tracey have just spotted that the Peony & Moore gold bag you were drooling over a while back is reduced here (I don't remember you buying it, but apologies if you did )

hellsbelles · 09/07/2010 19:22

cake - meant to say - that is always the case with the blochs in my experience and I never had a problem returning them.

traceybath · 09/07/2010 19:32

ABO - oooh just had another look at the peony bag but am so loving the gucci - no other compares .

I like this poncho for autumn.

Hells - when do you go on holiday?

carciofi · 09/07/2010 19:39

Congrat LTEC on your win and Blossoming for coming third!

LTEC, thanks, not sure they will work on me either but I will give them a go as I want to order a cardigown and pajamas anyway.

The returns label wasn't attahed to my Blochs either.

MarshaBrady · 09/07/2010 19:46

Lovely sports day for us too. Boiling hot as parents herded into middle sans shade. Mothers' race a damp squib as not a proper race but did get a really nice group compliment delivered by messenger , ie 'we were all just talking about how beautiful your dress is etc..'. Twas really nice.

Congrats on the winning places Bloss and Ltec.

TraceyB love the poncho and still think that Gucci bag is the fabulous.

traceybath · 09/07/2010 20:01

Ooh how nice Marsha - what were you wearing? I do totally envisage you as Gwyneth you know

MarshaBrady · 09/07/2010 20:05

haha you are all stunning in my head too. Like butterflies .

A long maxi with big 70's type print in blues. I love maxi dresses now unfortunately I only have one.

AllBuggiedOut · 09/07/2010 20:58

I couldn't resist ordering the medium peony tracey, to compliment my new autumn colour wardrobe...

Glad you had a lovely day marsha I'm still on the hunt for a good high-summer maxi. My DP ones are fad with denim jacket and scarf on cooler days, but I have nothing for this heat. Wondered about trying this but not sure if silk would be a mistake

notyummy · 09/07/2010 21:36

That's pretty ABO.

AllBuggiedOut · 09/07/2010 22:07

Thank you notyummy - I think it will look lovely with my cheapo Asos sandals!

FritziGreenEyes · 09/07/2010 22:08

Go A&W mums go!!!! Bet your DCs were all proud of you for not only being most stylish but also winning the races at sports day today.

tracey - Love that poncho! I'm still waiting for my summer stuff I ordered from WC weeks ago. Will ring them next week.

Enjoy the races bloss!

LetThemEatCake · 09/07/2010 22:15

hope you are having a lovely night at the races bloss. Congrats on sports day! marsha, glad you had a good day, dress sounds very beautiful, am happy it was duly admired. Pretty dress abo, get it quick before it (and high summer) goes!

btw - the nasty mum at nursery? you know I said she dresses her dd and herself as boys?? she ran in the men's stick and ball race!! . I mean, WTF????

have a great picnic tomorrow esher, it sounds fabulous. Perfect day.

Hush promotional code SALEVIP is already working. Quick!!!

reallygrumpy · 09/07/2010 23:56

Hey all, my op went ok although it took them 3 hours to find a doc to discharge me and then they found some 12 year old who advised me that 'if I felt any pain I should get some nurofen and paracetamol from the chemist'!

Congrats to LTEC and bloss on your sportsday results. LTEC that woman at your nursery sounds v odd, I feel v sorry for her daughter.

have ordered the DKNY cozy and this from NAP. V tempted to buy more I'm trying to be wise as I'm worried about job cuts etc.

My shred DVD arrived today and I need to get some weights, what weights do those of you who already shred use?

ABO sweatty betty is v good for exercise clothes, I'll try and find a link to the capri trousers I've got which manage to make my big bum and horrid tummy look smaller.

Fleecy hope your hosp thing was ok

DH and I had a 'date night' this eve with takeaway sushi, wine and Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey jr's still lovely), DH is now gently snoring on the sofa so I now have to wake him upand persuade him to go to bed. Night all!
