Tracey - you make me laugh! No wonder T & S answered so many of your questions! But, I admire your directness....!

diw19 - Say the 'leopard print anything '.....

Sorry, I can't stop laughing here....

traceybath · 15/07/2010 21:35

Dolcee - its a Santa Cruz Tallboy in black - DH assures me its the Birkin of the mountain-bike world as I try to look interested

Apparently the lighter the better for getting up the hills - god - I am absorbing all this info.

Right back to fashion . . .

blossoming · 15/07/2010 21:36

traceybath, stressed because of my nephew, my sister and my bil. It's been vicious weather here today and I've been stuck indoors winding myself up at how they take advantage over and over. Ridiculous really (says she after 2 stellas!)

When are you off hf? How are things?

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:37

his has probably been done before...missed so much while I was away...but have to ask...in the context that I used to like Lisa Armstrong's writing in the Times...doesn't she make almost everything she wears in the photos look awful? That shirtdress was blardy dreadful....

Sorry, not meaning to be a bitch but it's what I think every time I read her column....

Okay, I know she's not a modull ... but even so...she's effectively demonstrating a 'trend' etc....and I've not seen anything that looks right...in fact, she almost looks like she could do with a good scrub!

Okay, glad I got that off my chest!

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:43

Thanks Tracey - shall 'mention' it to DH....does that mean you get to bag a Birkin....bloody hell...well done you! Ah, and will his bike last a lifetime? I think not!

It all makes sense!

I did a 6km bike ride at Calcot the other week and it nearly killed me...legs like jelly...prefer running any day!

traceybath · 15/07/2010 21:43

Bloss - I tend to find everything seems worse when its horrid weather and I'm stuck in the house.

Could you perhaps be a little less available to your sister - it does sound from what you say that they do take advantage a bit or that its a bit of a one-sided relationship.

Dolcee - agree re. Lisa A in the times. Bizarrely though when she's photographed in Vogue which she was recently - she looked gorgeous and teeny tiny.

Zembo - agree with HF - I got my hasbeens from Sweden - keep an eye on the site as the stock refreshes frequently.

diw19 · 15/07/2010 21:44

Hello again,

errrrr 'the leopard print bra'!!

The name is something I tell myself when purchasing shoes, boring really but works for me!

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:44

Blossoming - don't let the buggers get you down...

eshermummy · 15/07/2010 21:45

October/November meet-up sounds good although I am hoping to be away for half term (w/c 26 Oct iirc) and poss the week after, although nothing booked as yet.

MM - love those KG shoes and v bargainous .
I have the following 3 pairs arriving tomorrow in order to try and resolve the brown shoes/black handbag conundrum in time for Saturday

I love the look of these but fear I will not be able to walk in them. The mentor wedge ankleboots I linked to from My Wardrobe have already sold out (am kicking myself) and these have a similar-ish vibe but much cheaper

Couldn't resist the price of these

Ordered these ones too - think they may be a bit too prim and proper in the flesh but good price/free returns persuaded me (obviously will regret this when I am lugging the enormous box they all come in back to the post office next week!!)

For Saturday, I am thinking of wearing either

blue bodycon draped Reiss dress or

this dress which I have but black top and bottom

don't think I am brave enough to debut the animal DVF

Sorry to those struggling with bfing - I didn't bf either of mine (complicated reasons, or, as some on MN would have it, excuses ) so I tend not to say much about the feeding of small people on here.

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:46

diw19 - you're gonna have to explain that ....?

OllieWollieWoo · 15/07/2010 21:48

RE Oct/Nov meet up - I can do the first WE in Oct (Sat 9th) but the week after its the start of half term here so not yet sure of plans (could well bring the boys over and leave them with M&D whilst I come to London). Could also make the first WE of Nov (Sat 6th). When is the UK Oct half term?Agree re making sure Hells can make it tho! I think I would need an appointment with a personal shopper in Harvey Nics 2 hours before the meet up as I'm not remotely stylish and would fret terribly about what to wear and looking nice!

Zembo - love the sound of your shopping spree today.

Had a trying afternoon with DSs - they just bickered and wound each other over every little thing - I felt so drained by bedtime and was really snappy with them both - awful. But tomorrow is another day right.....? Plan to get them out and about tomorrow - spent most of today at home as had a friend of DS1s over (from 8.30 til 2!!!) and all he wanted to do was play in DS1s room! Did mean I got lots of jobs done tho - including sorting out pants and socks draw which is now all lovely and tidy and a lot more spacious - til the M&S sale next week that is!

Is anyone else mildly excited at the news that Robbie Williams has re-joined Take That??? Not a big TT fan or anything but I would love to see them all play live together!

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:50

Yeah well it was probably Mario Testino doing the pictures or someone of that ilk...so she's bound to look gorgeous...

Mind fleetingly went to the Lagerfeld feature in Vogue and Karl's pea coat...you know White Company have a deconstructed version which looks good, tracey?

How are you feeling now, by the way...not nauseous still, I hope...

eshermummy · 15/07/2010 21:50

aaagh am so slow at typing....thread has moved on loads

diw 19 - I don't understand either

Am in agreement with you re LA in the times - those houli's were a shocker imo but tbh have not yet seen her wear anything I covet.

OllieWollieWoo · 15/07/2010 21:51

Hello diw19 - does that stand for do I want 19?????
Details of DC too please!!!!! (not that I'm nosey or anything!)

blossoming · 15/07/2010 21:52

Yeah, roll on summer hols. Need a break from routine. Have a RL friend coming to stay next week with her dd who my ds says he's going to marry in 2030. How sweet.
Don't know how to keep up with shredding and you guys when rl gets in the way!

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:52

But the Houlis looked fab on Bosworth et al...just not her ... I am sure Choo looks fab in hers....I would love a pair....not to be though....

eshermummy · 15/07/2010 21:53

am loving sound of lagerfeld peacoat at WC price

OllieWollieWoo · 15/07/2010 21:54

Meant to say Notyummy - lovely dresses and amazing price too! Very wise!

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:55

OWW - Bizarrely I never much went in for TT first time around but love them and Robbie now!

traceybath · 15/07/2010 21:57

Yes, although weather has been rubbish - it is nice not to be tied to the school run.

Also ds2 is just loving having H round in the day.

Golly - this weather is awful - so stormy.

I was thinking of a dress this saturday but may well be jeans if weather continues like this.

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:57

Well, esher it's not quite Lagerfeld inspired...but a version thereof, IYSWIM , mmm...I like it anyway!

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:58

It's rather 'cardigany' than 'coaty'.... tho'

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 22:02

tracey - yes, relief to have a more relaxed pace in the mornings I agree...so sweet that A is enjoying having big bro at home!!!! Awww....

I get sweet little comments from my two oldest who sound like an old married couple at times!!! Very funny!

LetThemEatCake · 15/07/2010 22:02

hello diw19 are you who I think you are?

welcome!!!!

Just back from another run - yes, that's 2 today, so hopefully last night's dinner well and truly taken care of - and had to duck in to say other great W&A buy was thanks to the fabulous esher - my River Island Houlibees ( Houlihan Wannabees)

sorry to all those who are stressed due to iLs, feeding, sleep-deprivation, biking, wardrobe crises and indents.

hf Happy Birthday how is your dad???

anyone stressing about what to wear Sat how's this for a style dilemma: outfit needs to be appropriate for nursery party, for one last bf for L, so that dh doesn't have a shocker dealing with all 3 solo and good enough to meet various W&A style queens. Ouch.

Bear in mind that one of the nursery mums at the pub the other night said to me "i always assumed you worked in fashion because you always look so ..." At this point she trailed off, making it perfectly feasible that she might have been thinking muttonous/ ridiculous/ overdone.

Zembo your shopping haul sounds lovely, I have never set foot in CdeC but must do so.

esher did you buy a Zara trench with ruching at the back this season?
