notyummy · 15/07/2010 20:23

Can do first 3 weekends in October, and all of Nov so far - although there may well be fireworrks perties going on for the first weekend, I suppose.

Fleecy · 15/07/2010 20:24

Ooh quick one (back later but must work now...). Is this the famous indent?

bunnymother · 15/07/2010 20:24

Dolce - we have but one child and bed time is hair raising. So give yourself a big pat on the back that you don't end each day munching on Valiums by the handful.

Fleecy - forgot to say thanks for the congrats on DC2!! And what a bummer that you can't make it this Saturday, would have so enjoyed meeting you!

Hopefully lots of people can make it next time - I do love to admire others' outfits. One of the highlights of seeing my girlfriends is enjoying seeing what they are wearing (some of them are v stylish but make it look too easy).

Ooh isn't this Paul & Joe smoking jacket beautiful??

traceybath · 15/07/2010 20:37

Fleecy - that is indeed the indent and she carries her weight exactly where I do.

I'm pretty free at the moment in oct/nov. Would be nice to do a christmas meet up too - you know assuming that you are all real and not some figment of my imagination

My dc's went to bed an hour ago but I can still hear them all chatting.

Dolcee - is your DH addicted to the TDF?

bunnymother · 15/07/2010 20:37

Fleecy - are you referring to Brooklyn Decker? She is stunning, just gorgeous. But I thought the indent referred to the saddlebag area?

Dolce - am available all of November and plan to join our 2nd meet up, too! Will be a vicarious sartorial thrill as will be huge rather pregnant.

Zembo · 15/07/2010 20:44

Evening ladies..

MM and LTEC thank you for your lovely comments, they've made my day Its such a shame I won't be able to meet up with you. Please, please take some pics! The thought of meeting you all does scare me a little though as I know I'm not as inately stylish as you lot

Dolcee well done on organising the next meet up. Not much happening in Oct/Nov for me at the moment and maybe with this much notice I'll be able to sort out meeting with you all.

Apuski good luck with the weigh in tomorrow - will be thinking of you. I had a really hard time with feeding both of min - ended up expressing all feeds for both of them for 6 and 12 months!

Fleecy if that's the indent, I don't think I've got one but will check!!
I managed to get to some real life shops today. Bought some gorgeous things in Comptoir Des Contonniers - a fitted white shirt for work, a grey jersey dress (which is as gorgeous as the VWA one but easier to wear as no spanx required), a coral coloured dress and some blue opaque tights. Never bought anything from there before as couldn't be bothered/didn't have the chance to try things on. The stuff looks so much better on than it does on the hangers. Also their size 6 is a great fit on me
Also bought some grape/aubergine coloured trousers from Zara (again for work and look better than they sound) and yet more stuff for the DCs.

Now about to look at the WC poncho again - thanks for the code Carciofi and Cake that MJ back is gorgeous!

Zembo · 15/07/2010 20:46

Obviously bag not back

Zembo · 15/07/2010 20:48

Tracey where would you get another pair of Hasbeens from? I can't find any and would love some.

Its lovely how we've all touched one anothers lives isn't it? We've got a lot more than clothes in common by now.

MarshaBrady · 15/07/2010 20:49

Ah isn't lovely when they are all asleep?

Dh out, I am here with my version: chilled glass of white wine.

Apuski good luck tomorrow with weigh in. It is hard in the early days with tiredness plus constant bf'ding, hope it is ok.

Fritzi, fabulous idea I will get it taken in, thanks!

Dh, an avid cycler, loves TDF (took me a minute to work that out). I quite like it too now. He's at a cycling cafe near Shoreditch tonight called 'look mum no hands'. Quite nice I hear.

Fleecy · 15/07/2010 20:58

Ah I see - well if it is, then I don't have one - but I would trade my bod for hers in a flash. Gorgeous girl! tracey you must be looking rather good then!

Mine are asleep too, DD conked straight out this evening but DS has been running around his room and has so far done a poo twice. Since 7pm. hopefully that's it for a while now!

vin where are youuuuuuuuuuuuu?

And roma busy working?

bunjies are you feeling any better about your DS moving to his new school?

Oh and ny I don't spend a lot on jeans either. I try them on in the shops then buy them nearly new on eBay. You can get nice jBrand/7FAM etc for £30-50 inc postage easily. Save a search for your size and wait for them to come up. Easy!

Fleecy · 15/07/2010 21:03

eie I have the free with Glamour bag too! Doesn't carry much but looks surprisingly nice!

traceybath · 15/07/2010 21:06

Alas fleecy - I do not have a body like hers - just the indent.

Zembo - is your grey jersey comptoir dress - cross over at the top, with detail on the waist and a tulipy shape skirt? Because if so - thats the one I bought on sunday

Just had a trying half an hour of trying stuff on and hating all my clothes. At this rate - I'll be wearing my pyjamas on saturday

Everything - sympathy on the bedtime woes - its so stressful and exhausting.

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:08

Well hello there!

Can you tell that DH is away....?

Anyway....

Lovely Zembo - We have Tracey to thank for the arrangements for the 2nd meet up!

Everyone -I take it that most of us can make mid Nov so, shall we fix it for then? Where shall we meet though? ,London ?

Tracey - DH is a mountain biker - quite different I understand to rod cycling(according to himself)...as I asked him about carbon bikes and he was not interested. Assume that road bikers need lightweight, aerodynamic etc...? He's buying a Kone or something, I dunno

Now he's in training for an 'event' next year (in March I think)... a race - 5 mile run and 37 mile ride straight after, up and down mountains etc etc etc....phew...lovely!

My DH is addicted to Cornwall Life (I kid thee not!. Sorry this isn't looking good, cake baking and Cornwall Life...oh, he's macho really!

blossoming · 15/07/2010 21:08

Was very excited that my mum had bought me a bottle of artisan cider from Brittany. I was feeling so stressed today that nothing but shredding and the cider were getting me through the day!
Anyway, told dh the cider tasted like fertilizer, he took a taste and said it tasted like slurry!
So down the sink it went and I had to crack open the Stella to get rid of the taste. Oh well.

Love the gant dress dolcee, esp as dh likes me in shirts.

October and November are fine for me. Agree with consulting with hells too.

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:10

road cycling, obviously...

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:12

Hi Blossoming - yes, my DH likes me too in shirts...preppy look all the way...

Yes, Hells has to be there too..... how long is she away - 2 weeks ?

hf128219 · 15/07/2010 21:18

Apuski Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow, it's a stressful time.

Zembo Have you tried to get your Hasbeens direct from Sweden?

My dh is a cyclist too - he has 3 bikes .

He's also going to do the Paris Marathon in April - my eyes lit up with delight. Shopping supporting opportunities!

traceybath · 15/07/2010 21:19

Dolcee - DH is a mountain biker - this is a super light mountain bike apparently. Its now on order from the states and should be here in the next month or so - he is very excited - understatement of the year.

DH keeps going on about losing more weight as he wants to be 'race-weight' - honestly he's worse than a girl

Bloss - why stressed?

diw19 · 15/07/2010 21:20

Please, please, please can I join this thread? I have been following W&A since day one and have finally taken the plunge.......

blossoming · 15/07/2010 21:23

Will pop in to the Regent st Gant store on Saturday to see what they have in the sales. Where can I find Comptoir?

traceybath · 15/07/2010 21:24

Hello Diw19! Have you bought anything thats been linked to is my first question?

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 21:25

Tracey - I shall tell DH - He was rather dismissive before!!! A super light mountain bike is what he should need/want non? He's been talking bikes with his mate for ages...and going to the gym to get fit. Only this morning I saw him eyeing his biceps in the mirror... ...

diw19 - welcome!!!! Glad you delurked....

blossoming · 15/07/2010 21:28

Welcome diw19, where's your name from?
Meant to say, that's where my indent is too!
