tracey - In two weeks. Unfortunately no wedding but an an outdoor classical concert organized by one of DH's clients. I think I have found a solution for shoes/bags.

Finally a thunderstorm and some rain here. Our lovely green lawn has terrible brown patches from the heat [pathetic middle-aged emoticon ]

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 14/07/2010 20:18

LTEC - thanks for that, have added to my amazon wishlist!

My pregnancy is going fine thank you, slight scare this morning when a mum I know told me her son (who I had seen yesterday) had rubella but apparently I have the rubella antibodies.

Everything - I loved your outfit. I think some DH/DP are just generally obtuse when it comes to clothes, my DH always tells me I look fine WITHOUT LOOKING AT ME, which drives me nuts.

notyummy - bargianous dress!

roary - hope the antib work soon, mastitis is

carciofi - that poncho is gorgeous.

blossoming - I dream of being that elegant, unfort my look is more jeans and hoodies and when I try anything different i feel wrong.

I am buying most of my clothes on ebay atm to try and keep costs down but have ordered this from hush for a lunchtime event I am going to as I am hoping it will be empire line enough for bump! Tbh the only reason I look pregnant at the moment is the amount of cake I have consumed.

For those of you who have the oushka oakley do you think it would make a good nappy bag? Really don't want a nappy bag but a big old gorgeous handbag that will go over the shoulder (or even better across the body)

blossoming · 14/07/2010 20:57

I'm off to try the relevant components of that elegant outfit, which I will find in my wardrobe, bar the belt. That will be outfit one, Sept evening classes sorted!

blossoming · 14/07/2010 21:33

Well, outfit successfully recreated! Makes me almost wish it was September!!
I do love those Nap stylists, most of the time!

Fleecy · 14/07/2010 21:51

Loving your outfit creation there blossoming

Congratulations bunny We have a 19mo gap and it's been fab. DD was still a baby really so we sort of got that stage all out of the way at once - plus she was still young enough to have a nap and if you can get them napping at the same time, you'll have it sussed!

And well done cain When do you start?

apuski your little Alexander is just gorgeous (can't remember if I said it before but even if I did, no harm in saying it again)

everything you looked very chic and truly lovely.

I was really hoping to come to the meet up and it was looking good but found out yesterday that I won't be able to so very of those of you meeting. Please do post pics and let's meet again soon! I had an outfit sorted and everything! Luckily have a few nights out coming up so will get to wear it anyway.

Zembo · 14/07/2010 22:08

Hi ladies!

Libra I think the Oakely would make a fab changing bag. I had a 'proper' change bag but soon dumped it for ordinary bags again - just stuffed them with all the usual gear plus one of those small plastic change mat things.

Everything is your DH the kind of person who doesn't usually compliment anyway? Its certainly not part of my DH's repetoire and I just accept it now. He had a totally crap childhood and I blame it all on that - he is totally unable to see beauty in anything, whereas I see it everywhere and you really did look beautiful.

Bunny congrats! lovely news, something you said a while back made me think you were pregnant too - along the lines of TTC was going well

Love the white company poncho -anyone have any good discount codes for them?

Notyummy I ordered that rasberry coloured dress this evening. Got the last one I think, hoping it'll be easy to wear for work.

monkeysmama · 15/07/2010 01:25

Very quick but Fleecy oh no. You're my
fashion soul mate.

Zembo please say you're coming Saturday. You strike
me as such a lovely positive person.

OllieWollieWoo · 15/07/2010 06:58

Morning. So wish I could be there on Saturday (insert bottom lip emotion!) Please, please, please can me arrange another meet up in a few months - maybe a Saturday lunchtime one???? Am due a trip over to UK around October?november time......

Was thinking that the W&A thread must be around 6 months old - can you remember when you started it LTEC?
QOTD - what has been your single best W&A-related buy? Mine is probably my navy blue jersey boyfriend blazer which I would never have got without this thread but absolutely love!

Met up with some girlfriends last night at a friends house and we all took a tub of ice cream to share - ended up with 6 tubs of the stuff. I was v restrained tho - honest!

FritziGreenEyes · 15/07/2010 08:06

Best W&A-related buy for me: Black Blochs (as recommended by our one and only cakey ).

traceybath · 15/07/2010 08:40

Lunchtime meet in october sounds fab - and am sure that will fit in with Bloss's hair appointment too.

Best W&A buy are probably my hasbeens - have worn them so much am contemplating getting another pair in the cerise colour.

carciofi · 15/07/2010 08:56

I have two: pink blochs recommended by Tracey and who

I would love to do a lunchtime meet.

Zembo, re White Co, 10K3A works for 20% off.

Rushing off to the gym now, bye.

carciofi · 15/07/2010 08:57

Lost the last part of my first sentence: Who could forget the Blossoming top!

notyummy · 15/07/2010 08:57

Best buy - cheapie UO combats. Too big for me, but (I like to think...) still look fetching in a kind of 'hareem combat style' as they slide off my hips!

Zembo - with your colouring I am sure the raspberry dress will look great on you!

I am DEFINITELY up for another meet-up - may need a bit of notice to put childcare arrangements in place though. I also know that Saturday 23rd and probably 30th of October are out (half term things happening)so can't make those. Please don't make it then!! ['It's all about ME emoticon']

And inspired by Blossoming's outfit, I ordered these in the sale yesterday. They may well go straight back - but I can't resist a bargain. Eventually I may succumb to the allure of premium denim, but so far I have never forked out more than £50 for a pair of jeans.... (cheapskate..)

Fleecy · 15/07/2010 09:48

Sorry mm If it's any consolation, my outfit involved harems with a tank tucked in, plus a big statement bib necklace so think of me there in spirit wearing your sort of thing

notyummy I have a pair like that - cost me similar amount from New Look. I haven't worn them much recently but when worn with wedges they make your legs go on forever!

Can't think of my best buy this year (there have been many!) so will have to report back...

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 09:54

I'd love to do a lunchtime meet up (babys 1st birthday 2nd Oct so can't do that one (getting in quick!)) ....otherwise free

everything - you looked fab!

Love WC poncho so on my list too! And their skinny indogo jeans look lovely and skinny so on list...hushes mouth on Autumn wear! (Mind you weather absolutely vile!)....Great!....whole weekend without DH and rubbish weather.

Have a Prosecco (or two!) on me on Saturday!

God, really emotional week, as DS said goodbye to Playgroup...and Nursery as at home all summer.

I shall no doubt spend the entire summer sewing in name tags...

Well done on Bea sleeping through Tracey....excellent news!

DolceeBanana · 15/07/2010 09:56

indogo? indigo, of course....sorry caffeine underload...

MarshaBrady · 15/07/2010 09:56

I think my best buy (although for next season now) is the Marc by Marc Jacobs boots I bought took back, then bought again from Liberty. They were reduced from £600 to £300 and the AW'ers helped me see that black (good quality) boots can be good.

And 7fam jeans as an upgrade from cheap mondays (creative days pffft).

There is probably more but I cannot remember what I have bought!

MarshaBrady · 15/07/2010 09:57

THe only poobear, although good too, is that much of the medium size Liberty stuff I bought 10 days post birth is massive now. One Sonia Rykiel skirt is ridiculous on now. Oh well.

blossoming · 15/07/2010 10:07

Lunchtime meetup in October would be fantastic for me, could have a drink for my 40th too - and everyone else who's celebrating this year!

Bargainous jeans notyummy. Mine are Paige Pico from 3 years ago. Dh loved them so much when I tried them on he insisted on paying! (That doesn't happen often). I'd forgotten how good they look, possibly because I've lost weight and weigh about the same as I did 3 years ago now. He said last night, you look great in white shirts. Mine was from, ahem, Lands End, but hey.
They also looked good with the Kew red and white breton and that Zara blazer. Was that a W&A buy? I think it was traceybath who recommended Zara to me on my search. Somehow it just works with everything, and I feel great in it.
Apart from that, the Splendid dress from NAP, and the JBrands. Glad so many of us are under the influence of premium denim so I can get honest opinions!

Re the Jigsaw sale, nothing on my wishlist was reduced!

traceybath · 15/07/2010 10:12

OK - so its the 9th or 16th October then - can others do those two?

blossoming · 15/07/2010 10:23

Both dates work for me traceybath.

Thanks all for the mastitis wishes. It seems to have cleared almost miraculously with the antibiotics. But would love to know min acceptable course of antibiotics for mastitis as they are upsetting DS's tummy.

Apuski if you have any sunshine where you are stick Alexander in it - it will help enormously, that's what they will do with a lamp in hospital. Sunny climate babies rarely get jaundiced. DD was janudiced and it was such hard work, I fed ALL THE TIME and had to wash her head and take off all her clothes to get her to wake up enough to eat.

Best purchase so far has been paige jeggings. They are amazing. Worth every penny.

everything - Hope DS will feel better after his nap (and you too!).

roary - Good to hear that you are ok again. How long do you have to take the AB?

Lots of sunshine for baby-Apuski and everyone else who is already thinking of A/W wardrobe! Can't stop thinking about that poncho though

Marsha - Can you get the skirt altered?
