Hi all

I am here but a bit worse for wear. Have been out again for drinks tonight . Hic!

Am stressed about what to wear Saturday - thinking all black.

MM Am planning hols at the mo - what do you think of Almyra vs Annabelle?

Cake mail me - am thinking Soho Hotel maybe less stress

NY It took nearly three weeks for me to get my refund from HN and annoyingly you can't do returns in store if you buy online.

Promise to post properly tomorrow but room spinning a bit now and must get some sleep.

FritziGreenEyes · 13/07/2010 23:04

everything - What kind of bag did you have for your outfit from last weekend? I don't have anything appropriate for my dress and need some ideas...

reallygrumpy · 14/07/2010 06:43

everything I love your outfit from the wedding, you look stunning.

Well I'd hoped I might be able to come and meet you all on sat but DH is working and won't be home till 8 at the earliest so I don't think I'm going to be able to make it .

Hope you all have good days, I'm off to work in a mo but am currently going through another 'wish I was a SAHM phase'....

LetThemEatCake · 14/07/2010 07:09

morning everyone - have only skimmed and have not yet imbibed caffeine so am not even sure what I've just read. Not because of nursery mums' night out (only one glass of red - I drove) - just general 7am-ishness.

Anyway. EIE I am sorry to hear that your dh was so foolish & rude as to not even comment on your appearance. I am glad you did not let him taint your good time and hope you know that you looked great.

Libra how are the hell are you?? how's your bump coming along? Lovely to hear from you, you've been asked after several times by the other A&W ladies since you deserted us!! My cashmere wrap was from here. Gorgeous, cosy, stylish and the ideal pressie with a baby on the way - snuggly breastfeeding and much-needed luxury.

this website does various discount codes etc if you're registered, am pretty sure they do one with the Travelwrap Co so worth registering, perhaps.

will post more later - have good mornings, all

Morning All.

Yeay - Bea slept through till 7am - a first and just before she turns one. Of course she was up till 9pm though

I think I'm probably going to wear jeans on saturday as weather is looking a bit mixed and I am still feeling fat.

Does anyone else who has sil/bil's find theres a lot of weird competitiveness over the grandchildren - its generally driving me mad at the moment.

Right - need to drink coffee and then get ready for jo jingles. Am taking DS1 too today as he's on holidays - he's very excited - god knows what he thinks is going to happen there. I fear endless repetitions of row row the boat may not quite live up to his expectations of 'baby school'.

notyummy · 14/07/2010 08:40

Morning all.

Hf - so pleased that you father is doing ok. Hope you have a lovely 40th.

Interesting that so many of us are within a couple of years of each other! I am 40 in Jan 2012 so will look with interest at what people are up to. I am hoping to have a romantic weekend away with DH, plus I have 4/5 friends from school that I go away with a couple of time a year usually. As we will all be 40 within about 6 months of each other, we are planning a more extravagant 'meet-up' for our 40th, and thinking of going abroad (maybe Seville or Milan.)

MM - I like the look of all of the first 4 shoes you linked to, but not the second group quite as much. I feel your pain with the shoddy shoes - I took a brand new pair of embellished sandals to Italy with me and lost 2 large stones on the first two outings. I ended up chucking them in the bin and was so annoyed, as they were pretty.

Choo - thanks for the points ref Harvey Nicks. Not great customer service really is it? Would have expected better tbh.

Vin - Helloooo! Where are you?

Everything - sorry to hear that your fabulousness was not acknowledged by your other half. Sometimes people don't realise what they are so lucky to have....

Still v jealous of the meet-up plans - will have to clear the diary for the next one If I had come, as a country mouse (at the mo) who doesn't get the chance to dress up much, I would probably have festooned myself with everything possible and gone COMPLETELY over the top. Any excuse to dress up - and never knowingly underdressed obviously

Another 'all staff' meeting today when we get to hear a bit more about our fate. A rather drawn out process to tell us 'you're fired' I suspect

Got my 2 bargain Oliver Bonas dresses yesterday:

grey

raspberry

The grey one looked nice, so is a keeper (although I really do not need anymore grey dresses - someone tell me off if I show any interest in them!) The raspberry one somehow made me look a dress size bigger and the colour does nothing for auburn me, so is going back.

Not got my work wardrobe mojo at the moment (funny how potentially losing your job can do that to you...) however I suppose I must make the effort on days when I have external meetings as they are potential employers now! No meetings today so just in flat, black trousers, black bf cardie, faithful ditsy top (- which is now in the sale and worth a punt - honest!!)and black trousers.

Hope you all have good days.

notyummy · 14/07/2010 08:45

BTW - having just reread my epic post, I am only wearing one pair of trousers to work.

Whilst I am not at my brightest at 6am when dressing, I don't usually double dress!

notyummy · 14/07/2010 09:04

mm - were these one of the sandals you were looking at? Reduced in the sale here!

bunnymother · 14/07/2010 09:50

Quick post before playgroup...

Re meet up, am thinking of wearing either navy dress or cream dress, either will go w brown metallic-ish strappy shoes. Need bigger jeans, and if I get some in time may wear w leopard print top (hi Tracey!) and black strappy heels. Just depends whether 1) navy dress arrives and looks good (awaiting ASOS delivery), 2) tum tum too big for cream dress (which is v short so I can't bend over), 3) if get bigger jeans in time, and 4) weather. Failing that, if cold will wear black print dress w black stockings and black patent mary janes. Wow, I sound nuts!

MM - I like the gold sandals. The rest am ambivalent about, although they are nice.

Tracey - hope virus clearing up for you.

roary · 14/07/2010 10:58

Good morning, also not feeling so bright as have gotten mastitis AGAIN. Never had it at all with DD. Suspect DS is a lazy feeder. ANd he has been all over the place with nighttime feeds (going for 8 hours one night and then up every 2 the next!). On antibs so should kick it soon.

I got my Bloch pink NAP shoes the other day - like the rest of you they are too small despite being the same size as my other pair. Even odder is that the right is smaller than the left, because I know my left foot is a half size bigger than my right. Very strange. More annoying is that I threw out all the packaging when I got them from work so I wouldn't have to carry them home. So I am wearing them around the house with hiking socks on to stretch them!

NY love the ditsy top.

Jealous of the meetup too but perhaps not enough of an A&W regular not to feel like an imposter- DS is too small to leave and wouldn't be great company although he is v stylish. My DH might also think I had lost my mind and gone into sociability overdrive if I said I was going to London to meet Imaginary Friends from the Internet.

blossoming · 14/07/2010 11:34

Morning all!
Just had an email saying the jigsaw sale starts tonight at midnight. This is the first season in years that I've liked their stuff, maybe because they've got so much storm grey in. I love that colour! Something like the colour of the sky right about now!

blossoming · 14/07/2010 11:50

bunnymother, I have Paige skinnies in a 32, free to a good home?

bunnymother · 14/07/2010 13:13

Oh Blossoming, how generous of you! Would love to take you up on that offer, if possible. And I will also pass them on to anyone in need. I am on Facebook, are you?

carciofi · 14/07/2010 13:16

Everything, you looked gorgeous!

Libra, hope your pregnancy is going well.

Roary, my dh would think the same!

MM, I like the gold sandals best.

The sky is very grey here too. I am hoping DD will have a nap so I can watch The Silence on iPlayer. Anyone else watched it? It's very good.

Notyummy, hope it is not bad news at the meeting.

blossoming · 14/07/2010 13:40

bunny,I'm not on facebook, but if you cat me your address, I'll send them in the post this afternoon.

bunnymother · 14/07/2010 14:16

roary - oh you poor thing getting mastitis. Ouch. Hope it eases soon.

blossoming - thanks!! Will CAT now, but please send cheapest way possible. Here's a thought - how about a donation to a charity if I can't pay you?

carciofi · 14/07/2010 14:27

White Co poncho just arrived and it's a keeper. Might be good for you, Bunny?

Roary, hope you feel better soon.

bunnymother · 14/07/2010 17:54

Thanks, Carciofi, will have a look esp since I've noticed that it is wool so should be v warm.

blossoming · 14/07/2010 17:57

I know I was bemoaning the return of bootcut the other day, but doesn't this look elegant?

ApuskiDusky · 14/07/2010 18:11

Hi all. Roary, hope the mastitis goes soon, I only had it once with ds1 and it was a nightmare, I hope I can avoid it this time.

It's been HCP central here today, with the midwife and the health visitor here. Both nice and seem supportive of bfeeding, but ds2 has continued to lose weight since hospital discharge, which I was shocked about as he's feeding loads, and jaundice levels haven't improved. So the next 48 hours are going to be feeding bootcamp here before he gets weighed again.

I do like the look of the White Co poncho, but will restrain myself for now.

FritziGreenEyes · 14/07/2010 19:17

blossoming - I want that whole outfit!

bunnymother · 14/07/2010 19:36

Apuski - DD had jaundice so we had to stay in the hospital until it cleared, but DD breastfed almost 24 hours straight at one point. Apparently its natures way of them getting rid of the jaundice. Very tiring for you, though! Hope little A porks up soon so you can stop worrying. And hope you have lots of snacks and drinks and things to watch on TV for your feedathon. Good luck!

Blossoming - that outfit is definitely elegant. Oh so nice. Imagine dressing like that. I will surely lift my game once I am no longer visiting playgroup and playgrounds w sandpits every day. And once I am no longer carting a baby/toddler around who wipes things on me. Mmm, dreaming of elegant outfits...

partyhats · 14/07/2010 19:41

Everything - thats a lovely elegant outfit and you look lovely in it too!! Can I just ask where you got the nude mid heel shoes from? I have been looking for a pair for ages and they look perfect!!

FritziGreenEyes · 14/07/2010 19:52

apuski - Hope DS will put on weight soon! Take care of yourself. Bfeeding can be so exhausting...

traceybath · 14/07/2010 19:59

Apuski - DS2 was a bit poorly when born (week in nicu) and had quite bad jaundice and lost a lot of weight.

I fed all the time and never let him sleep for more than 3 hours at a time (sure you know that jaundice makes them sleepy) - I also did breast compression. Was a very very stressful time though so much sympathy. And do make sure you are eating and drinking enough - lots of oats and chocolate

Carciofi - poncho a keeper here - very nice indeed!

Bloss - love that outfit too!

Fritzi - whens the wedding you're going to?
