Same as traceyb. Switched off. And be kind to yourself reallygrumpy.

hf128219 · 12/07/2010 22:17

Evening all.

Bunny That is the best news! Congratulations!

Cain Well done on the job front.

Tracey Must read the T&S thread. How funny. Liking that CK dress.

LTEC Glad you survived.

Hells Have a fab holiday.

Well my dad was discharged this pm and is now back home which is good news. No further forward with a diagnosis - going back on Thursday to Neurology, followed by a 24 hour Cardiac Tape outpatient appt.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts.

Currently on line shopping at Sainsburys - being an 'Ocado' girl I was shocked to see they don't deliver in Edinburgh! Thought I would take the heat off my mum prior to our arrival on Friday. A shop that would normally take me 30 mins has taken me 90 mins. Tres confused!

blossoming · 12/07/2010 22:27

That's great about your dad being discharged hf, and what a lovely gesture with the shopping. Hope you have a great 40th!

hf128219 · 12/07/2010 22:33

Thanks Bloss. Makes me smile to think of you shredding 'out of hours'!

ApuskiDusky · 12/07/2010 22:38

Just popping in quickly before bed, MIL has gone home now so have been trying to entertain ds1 whilst feeding ds2 nonstop.

bunny , many congratulations on the pregnancy!

And hf, glad to hear your dad is out of hospital, hope the follow-up appointment goes well.

And I too LOLed at the recommendation of leopard print to Tracey!

LetThemEatCake · 12/07/2010 23:32

really glad to hear about your dad hf. Lovely idea re: groceries - my sis did the same for me a few years ago when I was laid low and it was so thoughtful. Have a very happy birthday with your family!

rg take it very easy, lovely. The only workout you need worry about at the mo is the one that flexes your credit card's muscles.

Really pleased to hear about your dad hf. I hope he makes a full and fast recovery.

Congratulations Bunny. I wondered the other day if we were going to hear a pg announcement from you. Not sure why, just had that feeling. Happy news .

ReallyGrumpy I was a bit to think of you doing Shred already. Take care of yourself hey.

Cakey I emailed you re the meet up. I am hoping to make it though dp is at a sailing weekend I thought was next weekend. We've had a mild row about it and he just couldn't get his head around why I wanted him to cancel instead of me for once. "You don't even know them" he kept saying. I felt rather child like whining "But they're my friends". If my sister (with her lame arm) is up to it she'll baby sit and I'll be there anytime from 6ish if that suits everyone (or earlier maybe) I have no idea what to wear. Am currently hating most of my clothes.

My asos order just arrived. This in the khaki is surprisingly nice. Really light weight and great for normal park days in the sun. I wear bandeaus almost always in the summer as I hate tan lines and I love jumpsuits - such easy dressing. This is oddly flattering. I don't even remember ordering it but I think it's perfect for my actual life rather than the imaginary life most of my wardrobe is designed for. I was worried it is a bit muttony but it is a lot smarter than it looks and tried it with gold glads and it looks good. Few other bits mainly from Warehouse, most of which are going back as quality is crap. I got the same owl pendant as you Cakey - I saw someone wearing it at the weekend and really liked it. This bangle looks a lot more expensive than it is as do these earrings.

Now waiting for asos to collect and replace my Lolas - they fill a footwear gap and were a bargain price so decided to replace them. And for NAP to collect the Kenneth Jay Lane pendant. I've fallen in love with some of the Erickson Beamon earrings on NAP. I was born to be really rich I think.

I am off to make a lasagna.

carciofi · 13/07/2010 12:48

I like the jumpsuit and playsuit, MM. Yum, lasagne.

HR, great news about your dad. Don't use Asda for your food delivery!

Fleecy, I just read that Caricol is good for IBS.

Have you received your poncho yet, Tracey? Mine is out for delivery.

MF187 for an extra 10% off in the Matches sale.

Thanks hf, Apuski and mm for the congratulations!

hf - good news on your dad, really good. Hope you finally managed to sort the groceries, no doubt your mum will really appreciate both the practical help as well as the thoughtful gesture.

reallygrumpy - ouch, do take it easy!!

mm - love both playsuits, but esp the floral one! Ha ha about not even remembering ordering it! DH also looked a bit about me leaving him babysitting so I can meet my internet friends. But he was too smart to say anything (am liable to throw a hormental hissy if even looked at the wrong way). Think I will buy Kenneth Jay Lane for my birthday, or Erickson Beamon - absolutely love their jewellery!

bunnymother · 13/07/2010 13:06

Oooh everything I bet you looked so elegant!! Can't wait to see the pics! And thanks for the congrats!

traceybath · 13/07/2010 13:30

Everything - glad you looked lovely and had a fab time - can't wait to see photo.

MM - lovely purchases and yum to lasagne.

Bunny and MM - DH keeps laughing at thought of me meeting my 'pretend friends'.

I feel so dreadful - have felt incredibly nauseous for the past few days and have no energy. Think it must be a virus as most definitely not pregnant. Lots of cups of tea seem to be helping.

Carciofi - poncho also out for delivery - really hope its nice! Lady in white co in bath says their new range is all gorgeous and much more fashion/fitted than before.

hellsbelles · 13/07/2010 13:36

Hi all, haven't caught up at all but just wanted to say bye before I go off on my hols.

I hope you have the most fabulous, stylish (and hopefully merry) meet up. I shall be thinking of you and will raise a glass in honour of the wonderful A&W ladies on the 17th. Please please please take pics. I would love to see how gorgeous you all look. As you know I'm very jealous I won't be there and nothing will stop me coming to the next one (unless you all ban me of course!).

traceybath · 13/07/2010 13:41

Hells - have a wonderful holiday!

blossoming · 13/07/2010 13:47

Hi everyone. It's winter in North Wales, or at least in my corner of. DH says it's sunny where he is.
Saw this photo of Dannii Minogue (you may need to scroll down a bit), wearing loads of black layers and a blue scarf. She may be an unlikely style crush for me, but we may have similar colouring, and have ordered an 'eclipse' coloured stole from mypashmina.com.
Feels like summer has well and truly been and gone.
I also reordered the cropped jeggings roary, as the cropped autograph weekend trousers aren't staying tight enough, even though I just washed them, tumble dried them and ironed them. I'm wearing them today with the Laura Ashley dress from winter! and the bagginess is annoying me.

DolceeBanana · 13/07/2010 14:19

Hiya!

Finally managed to have a proper read of thread....was soooo out of it after 2 weeks away!

Anyhoo-

Apuski - congratulations! Welcome baby Alexander. Alexandra is my baby daughters middle name !

Hells- have a fabbo hols....I'm with you on the next meet up! Soooo jealous that I can't be there at the weekend...please take lots of pics...

Tracey- know what you mean about 'pretend friends' ....DH rolls his eyes and says things like...'have you been speaking to your ''friends'' again darling?' !!!!! He thinks its funny too...but most blokes would I suppose.

So sorry to hear about your friend btw...awful, awful...

I am sure you absolutely do not need Botox either ... I have a friend who had her children at 38, and 40 and used to look really lined...noticeably...her youngest didn't sleep very well. Now, she has had no intervention but her skin is back to looking plump and unlined because she is getting undisturbed sleep. So, any deeper lines may be the cause of the lack of sleep, whatever...just a thought! Make sure you drink enough fluids too....
How are the holidays going so far then?

hf - sorry to hear about your Dad's accident and hope he's getting better and stronger each day....

everything - wonderful about the wedding...where was it? You've probably said already...sorry if so.

notyummy - hope alls well, re work thing....a clever, talented lady like you will have no problem, so do not worry!

choo - a cleaner sounds like a first rate idea!

and last but by no means least - reallygrumpy - so, so sorry....hope you are okay, and look after you!

Weather is vile - really drizzly....come on sunshine!

DolceeBanana · 13/07/2010 14:26

And Bunny ... just to make you feel even better about the 'gap thing', I have a 12.5 month gap between my eldest and 26 months later had my third. Seconding Cake, in that mine play really well together too...and love and seem to enjoy the baby...hardly ever any noticeable jealousy so that's good!
It'll be great!

Look after yourself and do put your feet up when you can!

DolceeBanana · 13/07/2010 14:29

everything - it looks beautiful! That's actually my old stomping ground! So know the area well...tracey would too!

So glad you had a wonderful time!

DolceeBanana · 13/07/2010 14:31

Oh btw tracey...have booked mine on the M D week swimming course at Wbirt School...Ony £30 per child for 1/2 hour each day M-F...thought that was excellent value!

traceybath · 13/07/2010 15:06

Oh that is good Dolcee. H is doing a swimming course at school now in the holidays and then cricket and football and probably tennis.

Sounds a lot but its spread over about 8 weeks and lordy - if the weather stays like this - he'll need the activities.

Everything - drove past Homewood only last week - looks lovely.

DolceeBanana · 13/07/2010 15:23

Yes, have a list of activities for the long holidays...! Next year we are definitely taking two straight weeks holidays in the school break!!!

I am kicking myself for not buying the White Company Stitch Trim linen dress in white and taupe - I have the slate and wore it to death in the day on hols...its flattering and so easy - I do find dresses easy...throw them on and look glam and smart-ish without trying!

notyummy · 13/07/2010 15:33

Hi ladies - will read and post properly later - promise!

Just a quick question - have any of you used Harvey Nicks internet/home shopping? Returned my VWA dress 10 days ago and no email/refund as of yet. Website says up to 30 days for refund, but a lot of providers are much quicker. Anyone else returned anything?

Oh, and you've guessed it. I've lost the proof of posting..... Gaah! This whole 'potentially losing your job' thing is obviously playing havoc with my organisational skills.

bunnymother · 13/07/2010 16:06

Dolcee - wow, I didn't know you had such a small gap between your eldest 2 and if you are saying its fine, that's it for me - am convinced!!
