God, I can't keep up with the threads anymore! Have managed to work out that congrats are in order for bunny though .

OWW - bad luck about footie last night. Ds was gutted as Netherlands was his back-up when if England got knocked out. He's even bought himself the team shirt! I do have to admit to having a rather inappropriate crush on Sneijder (sp?). My excuse is that he does bear a passing resemblance to dh!!

Driving to UK on Thursday so will pretty much be offline until we return. Have a gorgeous time on Saturday. I will be thinking of you all.

bunjies · 12/07/2010 15:07

Oh and forgot to say congratulations Apuski, baby Alexander is gorgeous!

hf - hope your Dad is ok. What a frightening thing to have happened.

carciofi · 12/07/2010 15:28

Cain, congratulations on your new job. Hope you don't have to work out your notice.

Bunny, many congratulations to you too!

Tracey, like the CK dress.

Blossoming, I'd love to meet you for lunch next time you are in town.

My Hush order didn't go through, which is good as I wanted to cancel it anyway. I do want pajamas but might chance waiting for the sale as I have been told that we are going through the credit card bill this evening. Always fun.

Dolcee, your wedding anniversary gift sounds fab.

I also wear quite a bit of make-up but go the natural look (achieved with loads of make-up!).

Verity, that is such a sweet video. I love Sara Carbonero's hair.

carciofi · 12/07/2010 15:37

LTEC, glad you survived the picnic. I think I would have brought a hip flask.

roary · 12/07/2010 16:17

Bunny I got a swing coat from FCUK. IT was perfect and I can still wear it.

OOh, congrats obviously!!

DolceeBanana · 12/07/2010 17:05

tracey. just read the 'talk' with T & S...Botox? Vous? Surely not.... ???

traceybath · 12/07/2010 17:07

I'd love some botox in my frown lines - all these years of sleep-deprivation have aged me.

But probably not for another couple of years.

blossoming · 12/07/2010 17:31

That would be great carciofi, thank you!

LetThemEatCake · 12/07/2010 18:21

ah bunny, that's grand. Big congrats to you and your (growing!) family. 19 months sounds an ideal gap. I have 16mths between P & C, and almost 22months btwn C&L. It's lovely. Hope you are feeling well and radiant!!

how are we progressing on the meet-up? If it's any help, I can post one of my 'fake' email addresses here, everyone can email with their real names and I can fwd to Choo (whose email addy I have). Then we could go back to venue 1? what's the door policy at Soho House?

Carciofi, Roary and Cakey - thanks for the congrats! .

Carciofi - FC swing coat sounds good. I remember last winter they did a gorgeous electric blue coat that would work, so might hit the eBay search button.

Cakey - ah, didn't realise you had such small gaps between your DCs. Really reassuring that you think its ideal. Am assuming Mr Cake has many charms to have 3 DCs so quickly. Christ, have taken the thread to smutsville already.

Seems my attempt at roll call failed. If you post your fake email I will send an email.

bunnymother · 12/07/2010 19:28

Oops, also thanks to Fritzi and Bunjies for the congrats on DC2!

Tracey - Botox is but one item on my list of necessary refurbishment items post DCs. Even DH admits there's more wear and tear on my face than there used to be. Sleep deprivation is not a beauty tip.

eshermummy · 12/07/2010 19:33

Congratulations Bunny!!!!!!

Thought the T&S chat was a bit disappointing (apart from the bit when they recommended leopard for you Tracey ). All they did was plug their own range of spanx-alikes in answer to most questions .

reallygrumpy · 12/07/2010 19:37

bunny huge congrats, that's wonderful news please don't worry that your news would upset me, it made me smile. I have one of the uniqlo coats you're thinking about and I love it, it may not be the most stylish item ever but it's like walking round wrapped in a duvet.

Well my NAP sale order arrived today and the cozy is a fab colour but lots of material so I need to have a practise to see if I can make it drape stylishly and the t-shirt dress is lovely and v flattering. DH answered the door to the DHL man but given recent events only had a minor grumble and then was v complementary about the clothes.

bunnymother · 12/07/2010 19:45

Esher thanks! I heard that T&S spanx is pants (oh how lame am I?!). I did smile at leopard print recommendation, though.

reallygrumpy - oh thank you, v kind and brave to be so lovely! Hope you are feeling better. I think I will have to look at Uniqlo when their coats come in, then. Go the DHs who hate the cost, but love the outfits!!

traceybath · 12/07/2010 19:57

Oh I do love T&S though

Esher - did you wow them at the ball?

I'm getting to london at 12'ish so will probably only do a bit of selfridges/liberty and then ready to meet people.

Will probably get the 10'ish train back.

LetThemEatCake · 12/07/2010 20:30

okay ladies

anyone coming to the meet-up, please email your real names to [email protected] in case we need them for guest list/ door purposes.

OP posts:
eshermummy · 12/07/2010 20:38

Cakey you know my real name dontcha?

traceybath · 12/07/2010 20:42

Done

So - I'm not going to be looking very glam at all as will have been shopping and probably all hot and dishevelled.

Am going to spend tomorrow night trying stuff on and throwing myself on bed in despair

Everything - how was the wedding?

LetThemEatCake · 12/07/2010 20:42

I do. But email anyway so we have list all in one place.

OP posts:
blossoming · 12/07/2010 20:54

Omg, just flicked over to sky 1, Biggest Loser. Jillian is EVIL. I'm surprised she hasn't killed anyone!!

eshermummy · 12/07/2010 21:02

Email sent

reallygrumpy · 12/07/2010 21:04

She nearly killed me today! I thought it would be a good idea to try my new shred DVD and had to have a 2 hour afternoon nap to recover... Think maybe 4 days post op is a bit soon to shred.

OllieWollieWoo · 12/07/2010 21:19

Anyone else watching Mary Portas on BBC2? Think she has a hard nut to crack this week!

traceybath · 12/07/2010 21:20

RG - you be careful!

OWW - just watched 5 mins but the man annoyed me.

OllieWollieWoo · 12/07/2010 21:34

Agree Traceybath - watching bits with the sound down to avoid cringing too much!
