Oh lord if any of you can help i would be soooooo grateful.

i have green metallic glasses, right? looooovely ones, mikli/starck etc cost a freakin' fortune. and i am wearing a pink dress to a wedding (IN FRANCE, SODDING GOLD TRADERS APLENTY, THE POTENTIAL FOR SNOOTINESS ABOUNDS).

aaaanyway... it's only after coming home i realise that those glasses pop a little against the pink. fine, i like pop. so without running the risk of looking too matchy-matchy i thought maybe a green clutch and some green OR gold shoes. however, the woman in JL (yes, i know) said that i HAD to get green shoes as gold not appropriate (even with humungous gold zipper and potential for green and gold accessorising at wrist).

aaaand, oh i don't know. i'm just blethering. do you like my dress?

have any of you seen any nice green shoes lately? i've got good pins, can carry off a heeled glad-type thing. did try these on today and they are MASSIVELY comfortable but ever so slightly mumsy in the heel imo.

any advice?

Glad you found a pair of shoes in the end Aitch - now guard them with your life until you have to wear them or the shoe hunt will all have to start all over again..

tethersend · 22/06/2010 15:09

Nope, prefer the ones you got to the metallics.

I am also a lover of the much-maligned mid-heel.

You have outdone yourself

Aitch · 22/06/2010 15:13

am wearig them right now, to try and break them in.

now, i'm not kidding. a cuff. gold?

really? oh that is good. i have a magpie eye for shiny shiny. re the mid-heel, it's my dizzy limit i'm afraid. and after seeing so many people stagger around changing rooms yesterday i think it should be a universal one.

Just remember to mention me in the title of your next OP, eh?

Am no use with cuffs. You will obv. need real gold to blend in with the traders I presume?

Aitch · 22/06/2010 16:13

erk oh shit hadn't thought of that. not gold metal then.

what about those really strong acrylic colours that people are doing as cuffs ?

Someone bought me a deep purple one which looks rather good despite my initial reservations. You could pull one of the colours out of the shoe or try to match with your dress.

I think Next have them.

It's a shocker trying to organise an outfit for a wedding. You spend weeks and weeks organising it, then no fecker even looks at you, and the dress goes back in the wardrobe, never to be worn again.

Aitch · 22/06/2010 17:22

ah well i've already worn the dress once, and will deffo wear it at two weddings. THEN it will go back into the wardrobe.

the shoes i will wear again, though, deffo. for they Go With Everything.
