Oh lord if any of you can help i would be soooooo grateful.

i have green metallic glasses, right? looooovely ones, mikli/starck etc cost a freakin' fortune. and i am wearing a pink dress to a wedding (IN FRANCE, SODDING GOLD TRADERS APLENTY, THE POTENTIAL FOR SNOOTINESS ABOUNDS).

aaaanyway... it's only after coming home i realise that those glasses pop a little against the pink. fine, i like pop. so without running the risk of looking too matchy-matchy i thought maybe a green clutch and some green OR gold shoes. however, the woman in JL (yes, i know) said that i HAD to get green shoes as gold not appropriate (even with humungous gold zipper and potential for green and gold accessorising at wrist).

aaaand, oh i don't know. i'm just blethering. do you like my dress?

have any of you seen any nice green shoes lately? i've got good pins, can carry off a heeled glad-type thing. did try these on today and they are MASSIVELY comfortable but ever so slightly mumsy in the heel imo.

any advice?

done.

oooh, i like them, they will stay on my feet and look a leetle bit weirdy brit abroad, which is nice. and i agree about the purple bangle. i'm fairly relaxed about the green clutch as well, but can obv ditch that and go with purple spex if too too much. in fact, my sunglasses have purple lenses (aitch not afraid of colour, fact fans) so that will all be good, hahah.

Thank Christ for that. You must go and parade up and down in JL in front of the consultatrix in your purple shoes.

midnightexpress · 17/06/2010 21:57

(which I like)

Aitch · 17/06/2010 21:59

PrimroseCrabapple · 17/06/2010 22:07

I likey!

KristinaM · 17/06/2010 22:21

they are lovely and you might even be able to walk in them

However [draws breath and wags finger] that is not the point. you asked for GREEN shoes. not just any green but a particular shade of green

you were offered lots of green and metallic shoes, which you turned your nose up at ( should that be "at which you turned up your nose"? )

and now you have gone and bought PURPLE shoes. if you had asked for purple in the first place you would have made our jobs a lot easier. [humph]

you never mentioned the possibility of purple specs either [another humph]

[sulks]

Aitch · 17/06/2010 22:32

tut tut, kristina, i was persuaded very early on that the lady in JL was talking out of her matchy-matchy arse, at which point all the clocks were stopped and the hunt was on for a pair of nice gold shoes that were - crucially - available in my size.

mind you, i seriously considered orange as well, and pink and gold even better - i'd had my hand hovering over the wallis ones until wub hit the jackpot. purple and pink absolutely fine imo, not even different colours iykwim? and i don't really want to wear the purple specs, i'm just saying that i have some purple options now that i think of it. i won't be able to see properly in them, if that gives you comfort?

just seenthat the company is based in livingstone, they must be related to schuh, must be.

Aitch · 17/06/2010 22:33

btw do you think they're purple shoes? i see them very much as purple, pink and gold...

OP posts:
wubblybubbly · 17/06/2010 22:37

defo purple pink 'n' gold.

Anyway, colour is the in thing this season, is it not?

Stick a bit of green in the mix and you'll have all those gold traders agog at your cutting edge look.

Aitch · 17/06/2010 22:42

agreed. plus they're french, so they'll think its ze look anglaise.

OP posts:
Habbibu · 17/06/2010 22:45

ecossaise, surely?

Aitch · 17/06/2010 22:49

mais non, those frenchies always think the engleesh are wacky in the fashion.

Just sling a string of onions around your neck, you'll blend right in.

Aitch · 17/06/2010 22:58
