Oh lord if any of you can help i would be soooooo grateful.

i have green metallic glasses, right? looooovely ones, mikli/starck etc cost a freakin' fortune. and i am wearing a pink dress to a wedding (IN FRANCE, SODDING GOLD TRADERS APLENTY, THE POTENTIAL FOR SNOOTINESS ABOUNDS).

aaaanyway... it's only after coming home i realise that those glasses pop a little against the pink. fine, i like pop. so without running the risk of looking too matchy-matchy i thought maybe a green clutch and some green OR gold shoes. however, the woman in JL (yes, i know) said that i HAD to get green shoes as gold not appropriate (even with humungous gold zipper and potential for green and gold accessorising at wrist).

aaaand, oh i don't know. i'm just blethering. do you like my dress?

have any of you seen any nice green shoes lately? i've got good pins, can carry off a heeled glad-type thing. did try these on today and they are MASSIVELY comfortable but ever so slightly mumsy in the heel imo.

any advice?

can't get the kurt geigers to open, maam. and alaska just linked to them, they are indeed fun but not possible for wrangling two under fives unfortunately. the carvelas are about my limit.

i have a great pair of russel and brom silver wedges from last year, you remember the ones. (actually mine aren't r&b, they were E30 from an italian supermarket, but they are great and so comfortable etc etc.)

but the fooking zip is completely gold.

Aitch · 16/06/2010 21:18

tethers, they are good, but can i wear gold? the woman in jl said no.

who was it linked to the karen millen strappies? that's exactly the colour i'm after, and they are LUSH. but i doubt i could walk on them and blooming hell, no wonder this country is going to the dogs if peopel are expected to pay £120 for some chinese made shoes from karen bloody millen.

Wow at the Irregular Choices

tethersend · 16/06/2010 21:23

Aitch, the woman in John Lewis works in John Lewis.

That's all I'm saying.

DarrellRivers · 16/06/2010 21:23

Not a fan of nude
It is a non-colour IMO

DarrellRivers · 16/06/2010 21:24

I think if you are Park Avenue princess in all tan/nude, then you can wear nude shoes, otherwise, No

lal123 · 16/06/2010 21:24

I always look longingly at irregular choice - but unfortunately could not even stand up in them and can't justify buying a pair just to put on to sit and watch telly in

ShirleyKnot · 16/06/2010 21:24

I would wear gold shoes.

Green glasses, green bag and green shoes?

NO.

tethersend · 16/06/2010 21:25

Habbibu I promise to agree with everything you say on future threads as you are obviously right about my genius everything

agree re the nude, darrell. i do not look like i have just walked off a ralph lauren campaign, therefore nude out for me i feel.

i am aghast at the irregular choice shoes. AGHAST. they're like something krusty the clown would wear. revoltissimo. and what's those ones that nomdeplume loves as well? not big or clever. mind you, i think fly london are vile also.
