MM - so sorry that you've had such a horrible time recently. I hope that things look up for you soon.

Helles - the dress is AMAZING!! love the shoes too. It will be absolutely perfect for the wedding.

I was very surprised to get a delivery today considering its bank holiday but my landsend order arrived. The stadium squall is not me at all and the brown is an odd colour brown so thats going back. The red duffle is going back too, so am keeping the duvet one, which is actually v nice and suits me, plus keeping the pink raincoat which is ok but will come in handy for rainy school runs and worth keeping for the price.
I also had milk delivered today and DH had a parcel too - I thought everything usually stops on bank hols?

traceybath · 02/04/2010 14:47

No surprise that I'm liking these. Liz Hurley and I could fight for them

No deliveries here Fel1x. Glad at least some of your order was OK.

Hells - which jacket do you like?

Hana - beautiful dress!

DolceeBanana · 02/04/2010 15:12

Happy Easter my little chickadees!!!

Am having a breather whilst DH gone for bike ride; DS 'reading quietly in his room' ; DD 1 sleeping and DD2 blowing raspberries next to me!!!

Just been to view house. We have dilemma- I want fab and ready to move into- He wants some dilaidated old wreck at the top of the budget with acres and 'massive potential'...I've already done up one house (from scratch), and want an easy life....What to do?????

Am just going on to Outnet this pm Cakey et al to find myself some hip and cool clobber for spring, after spending much money on kiddies and house necessities recently. Okay a parcel is exciting....but I want some for me...still dithering over Ash Hi-tops as every man and his dog seems to be wearing Converse, and they have gone the way of Birkenstocks I feel....i.e. ubiquitous...sorry gels! Shall I get the hi-tops...will I wera them - I'd do them with skinnies....????Q's Q's...

Anyway, sadly Bodsmum - I am more 'West Country' than 'West London lady'...actually in Glos....(shire, not er)....Hope you and babe are doing well- you certainly sound like you are...

Cakey - your post about the bitch mother at Nursery was something I get so narked about myself...I hate it when stupid people make comments like that...probably jealous because you seem to have it all, so don't worry!!! Have an awesome holiday...!!

I am in the kind of mood to be very naughty spend wise...so watch this space (No, DH hasn't pissed me off!!!!, oh, bless him)

OllieWollieWoo · 02/04/2010 15:15

Just back from the DIY store (well it is a bank holiday) and brought a lovely wooden table and 4 chairs for the garden (and once home realised that we were only charged for 2 chairs - they came in packs of 2 and only one was scanned - oops!). Set was on offer, and had a 10% off day at the store so a total bargain! Could I now justify going ahead with the 117 pounds order that is sitting in my M&S basket (consisting of new duvet cover, towels, wellies, t shirts and crayola stuff for DSs and also some leggings and a stripey breton top for me just cos it was 7 quid! Oh yes and this scarf here) They have 20% off home stuff today too - think thats all the justification I need!!!

traceybath · 02/04/2010 15:34

Oh poo - have just realised I've lost my purse. Have put a stop on cards but had over £150 cash in it .

DH being very philosophical - but I am really cross with myself. And it was a nice red gucci purse too .

GeorginaWorsley · 02/04/2010 15:49

Oh no tracey, sorry to hear about your purse.
Re Kew dress, yes I like that,in fact Kew have a few silk dresses in at the moment tha t are worth a look.
Also saw a nice one in Monsoon Fusion.

www.monsoon.co.uk/Fusion-Dresses/Fusion-Darling-Tea-Dress/invt/65242276&bklist=icat,5,shop,womencoll ections,fusion,fusiondresses#
and bought this with 20% off in a John Lewis promotion..

www.phase-eight.co.uk/fcp/product/fashion/Jerseywear/Alana-Cardi/300659351?colour=dark%20blue
it is wonderfully drapey and soft!

DolceeBanana · 02/04/2010 16:13

Poor Tracey - lets hope some honest soul hands it in - worth calling any stores you've been in today?

Like Kew dresses too...

Well...just ordered Ash low tops in taupey shade for summer...and well now...really

And cotton pea coat shaped mac, to wear with Breton tops, skinny scarf and jeans and said low tops....They are an Easter present to me...squawking babes and DH back so off out for a walk...Have a fab time everyone!

Mwah Mwah...

AllBuggiedOut · 02/04/2010 17:21

Hells my Fat Face dress came yesterday too - and it had a hole in it! Had to send back for a replacement. I don't suppose it matters much, though, as it's clearly going to be some time before it's warm enough to wear it. I could barely bring myself to try it on it was so chilly yesterday! Do love it for height of summer, though.

Am very of the MJ dress, Choogirl .

And will somebody please explain the blazer thing to me - how and when will you wear them?

bunjies · 02/04/2010 18:02

Hana - that dress is too beautiful for words. Well done for taking the plunge.

Tracey - what a complete arse. I hope some kind soul has handed it in.

Thanks for the sympathy ladies.

I phoned the last shop I was in and no purse had been handed in but my insurance company have said I should be covered and just have to pay £30 excess so not too bad.

But no shopping for me for a few days - good job its a bank holiday

blossoming · 02/04/2010 19:07

Sorry about your purse Traceybath. I have a prada one which I would hate to lose.

Hanaflower, lovely dress and shoes. I'm also looking for Russell & Bromley mid heels and can't wait for my local store to reopen.

I'm glad of the success of my Landsend links. I did question the wisdom of posting on this thread. Then again there's nothing stylish about being cold and wet.

Hope you're keeping strong Monkeysmama.

Something strange happened last night on my iPhone. I could read the links but not who posted. Who's half Spanish half Welsh? I'm mixed race: half north and half south Wales! Big deal round here. Apparently n Wales populated by Scandinavians and s Wales by n Africans way back. My mother has black hair and my dad was blonde when he had hair. I'm pale with dark brown hair and green eyes.

Ltec, hope you have a great time. I read it's supposed to get better weather wise by the end of the week.

AllBuggiedOut · 02/04/2010 19:08

What a pain, Tracey .

Can somebody confirm whether I'm going mad - I thought I'd see a picture of this Full Circle dress and it was a maxi, but here it looks shorter. Can't find a picture of it on a model anywhere, but I thought it had been linked to from here. Thanks!

Moneyspider · 02/04/2010 19:22

You're perfectly sane- it's the Peggy here

Fel1x · 02/04/2010 19:43

Oh no Tracey what a pain about your purse. Glad that you are covered on the insurance though.
We've had a busy but fun day today. At the farm to feed the animals this morning and just been out for pizza for tea, yum!

notyummy · 02/04/2010 19:46

Ok

Just spotted a few things I like (potentially for work) i the Phase Eight sale. Thoughts?

this

this although so far everything they have in this is either too big or too small

this

Anyone know anything about the sizing at Phase Eight - not somewhere I have bought from before?

GeorginaWorsley · 02/04/2010 19:53

notyummy....Phase Eight sort of Marks and Spencerish in sizing,I find, ifyswim
No,I never used to go in there or thought it was too 'mother of the bride' but did you see the long cardigan that I linked to earlier?
I also like their linen trousers, fab thick quality linen.
Having said that,I am a bit older than most of you W and A girls !

notyummy · 02/04/2010 20:03

Thanks georgina thats handy. I don't think I would wear most of the stuff I saw outside of work but actually some of the dresses I linked to look a bit Reiss/Jigsaw like (which is where I have been looking for work gear recently)....but considerably cheaper!

I work in a relatively formal/conservative environment. You don't always need to be in a suit, but sashaying up in skinnies and a gorgeous top wont get you very far either! I am always looking for something that looks a bit cool/sexy but v professional.

blossoming · 02/04/2010 20:03

Notyummy, the third is gorgeous. I have it and have raved about it before. Great price. Buy it with the grape coloured trench, also on sale.

notyummy · 02/04/2010 20:05

Ooh, handy to know blossoming. Do you think it would flatter a tall pear (10/12)?

GeorginaWorsley · 02/04/2010 20:11

I don't need corporate work type stuff,or have the need for an outfit for a wedding/the races very often,so I tend to look at their more casual stuff.
I find knitwear good, not the over fussy cardigans but the longer, simple waterfall style ones.
Also linen trousers as I previously mentioned, plus the little jersey vests and shrugs that they do.Excellent quality.
My failsafe outfit over christmas was a Phase Eight black crinkle silk camisole ,Phase Eight grey beaded shrug and black velvet trousers. Not cutting edge,no,but wwith chunky jewellery it felt good!
