Thanks D&B, any other suggestions? Cath keems a bit predictable I like this but wonder if it's a bit bleak...

Fel1x · 13/04/2010 11:06

Dolce - I am terrible about getting ready in the mornings. DS1 will start school this September and I just dont know how I'll manage
Our 'routine' at the moment is for me to wake up whenever the first DS wakes up and calls me! Which is anywhere between 6.30am and 8.30am. Then we go straight downstairs and have milk, change nappies and the boys ahve breakfast (they are STARVING immediately on waking usually). Then I usually run a bath, dress the boys while it is running and I hop in the bath while DS1 watches Cbeebies and DS2 potters about the bathroom with me (playing with the bubbles and poking my wobbly bits whilst laughing usually)
We are not usually all dressed and breakfasted until just before 10am which is fine for now as our groups start at 10am and DS doesnt go to pre school until after lunch.
I think September will be a big shock to the system!!!

DS1 is feeling a bit better this morning. He said the pain 'got sucked out' of his ear in the night and now is better. I am wondering if his eardrum perforated and eased the pressure? Have got docs appt for him this afternoon to see if he needs antibiotics. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Fel1x · 13/04/2010 11:08

Roman, have a fab time in NY. I love it there. My oldest item of clothing that I still wear is my 7 jeans that I got in NY about 8 years ago

Allbuggiedout - John Lewis have some CK type oil prints but different colours etc so are a bit different. SIL has a nice spotty one from there in a muted green colour

traceybath · 13/04/2010 11:25

Allbuggiedout - I adore that oilcloth but have a bit of a deer fixation! Where is it from?

RedBlueRed · 13/04/2010 12:57

In my quest to find a cheap sky high, slip on, open toe clog like the hasbeens I have found these which are a little similar to the sandal types so I thought I would share.

I wish they did the ones I'm looking for (am toying with the idea of contacting them with a picture and asking how much? )

Am very impressed with bed to car in 12 mins I spend my mornings racing around the house shouting "Have you brushed your teeth?" "Did you remember to put on underpants on today?"(really) "Have you got all your books?" and when I go to check and see if he is ready, he is playing with his lego or somthing.

notyummy · 13/04/2010 13:06

cain - I must point out that I leave the house BEFORE dd is awake...and I have breakfast at my desk at work! It would take longer than 12 minutes to get dd and I out of the house - although she is usually pretty good.

AllBuggiedOut · 13/04/2010 13:08

Will look at JL again, thanks Fel1x. The deer are from Pedlars tracey. Perhaps I shouldn't mention that they also do a sleeping bag, satchel and picnic rug .

DolceeBanana · 13/04/2010 13:45

Allbuggiedout - Personally not a real lover of oilcloth, but necessary as I said, so I tend to go for muted shades, hence taupey spot we have; however, quick trawl for you at JL rendered these:

nice?

poss?

love!

okay

love too!

And Tracey, where is Zara - Bath? if so where? or Cabots? Thanks

DolceeBanana · 13/04/2010 13:48

Oh bless the lo Fel1x...Best of luck with Docs this pm...best to get it checked out!

Romanarama · 13/04/2010 14:07

Fel1x if it has perforated then that will have been a very clever way of explaining it to you. Hope he's OK.

DolceeBanana · 13/04/2010 14:09

ohhhh... love this

swoon

likey likey

mrsjuan · 13/04/2010 14:20

Love that first top dolcee
Fel1x - hope DS is better soon - DH has recently had a horrible ear infection and it really knocked him for 6 so it must be very painful for a little one.

Yay - I have new hair! For once I am actually happy with what they've done and am now enjoying swishing new layers and feeling very groomed. Won't last 5 minutes once DD gets her hands on it so am making the most of it.

AllBuggiedOut · 13/04/2010 14:23

I know what you mean about oilcloth. But with nice new table arriving, fear it is inevitable. Quite like this. Don't want anything too childish as we are very lazy so will rarely take it off

traceybath · 13/04/2010 14:24

Dolcee - Zara is at cabots - on the outside bit of the main shops - if that makes sense so sort of diagonally opposite HN.

Like your links.

OllieWollieWoo · 13/04/2010 14:49

My sister got a nice one from this company - here but not sure if the edges were finished like John Lewis ones (I have one of the dotty ones from JL - its lovely but not proper oil skin and some stains have not gone with washing - but hey its looks good!) I love a bit of W&A 'things for the house' talk!

OllieWollieWoo · 13/04/2010 14:51

Meant to say the scotty dog one on that website is v cute! Also like the apple one al la Orla Kiery!

DolceeBanana · 13/04/2010 15:04

Oh, have just found fab website for kids clothes...

here it is

not v wise...but def avid...for 'nice things'....Love the Rachel Riley girls mary jane style 'slippers' (shoes, bur RR is very gracious and dainty... My DD looks like an angel - with her platinum bob (she's 2.5) and blue eyes, quite scandi really (DH's genes I think!!)...but she'd have wrecked them within 2 seconds...I want to get her something for several 'occasions' throughout the summer and adore sort of french inspired/formallish dresses, (I have a fab Kissy Kissy one for when Phoebe is older) even if she does trash it...she'll still look cute!

DolceeBanana · 13/04/2010 15:04

Must find something for me though!!!!!!!

DolceeBanana · 13/04/2010 15:06

Oh, and trying to find a quilted Benetton style jacket/cost for DS. I have a navy one for DD...its quite thin but v warm, ideal for spring...I found one at Harrison Fashion but they are out of stock...anyone any idea...either navy or olive green. Doesn't have to be Benetton but v similar...any ideas gratefully appreciated...

traceybath · 13/04/2010 15:11

Something like this Dolcee?

Sometimes gap have similar - DS1 has a khaki one from last autumn.

RedBlueRed · 13/04/2010 15:17

oilcloths?

AllBuggiedOut · 13/04/2010 15:58

Ooh, CITP that's exactly the sort of site I was looking for, thank you so much! In fact, I have Family Tree wallpaper!

LetThemEatCake · 13/04/2010 15:59

I do like that deer one though. I like Pedlars, great site.

Plan to wear/ use new things worked well today with the MJ bag and charity shop trench both commented on.

here's an exercise for us all - your Outnet wishlist - the things you'd buy on Friday, site permitting

am off to compile mine ....

MrsJ could those Lanvin shoes that Dolce linked to be a poss work shoe?

have a great time in NY Roman!

mm do you have a budget in mind for your dress?

OP posts:
mrsjuan · 13/04/2010 16:10

something like that yes cake but am loathe to spend that much when they are likely to get bashed about quite a bit. Probably outing myself here but I teach at a special school so have lots of wheelchairs, equipment and mess to contend with
Having said that I don't think they're actually giving me a class when I go back so won't have so much teaching time (or fun).

Off to do my outnet wishlist whilst swishing my hair

monkeysmama · 13/04/2010 16:11

Hey Cakey. Maybe £200 though would prefer to spend less. They're not close friends and will want something new by next year as I'll be either pg or skinnier with a flat tummy .
