Does anyone ever look good in Jeggings?

They are horrible things, have just been in town and every other female under the age 25 seemed to wearing them, and they all looked awful.

I wouldn't say I look good in them (don't really look good in anything) but I look perfectly acceptable in them, with a long top and boots. The proper denim kind, not those weirdo ones with the denim effect printed on.

sungirltan · 17/02/2010 21:54

camel toe

AnyFucker · 17/02/2010 22:05

ladies, we all have a camel toe

we are made like that, in case you hadn't noticed

just don't show it to the world (unless you want to)

sungirltan · 17/02/2010 22:12

sometimes they are called treggings

mrsboogie · 17/02/2010 22:23

I can't wear jeans as I am too fat and the zip part of the jeans bulges out, making me look even fatter. Jeans make most people look fatter than they are. I have a size 6/8 arseless skinny friend whose behind looks curvy in her skinny jeans.

Jeggings are fab and flattering and indistinguishable from skinny jeans so long as they are covered to below the bum.

PoppityPing · 17/02/2010 22:46

Nothing wrong with an appropriately accessorised jegging.

WET LOOK leggings however, we should all run screaming from

octothechildherder · 17/02/2010 23:08

I have two pairs now Love them - so comfy. Was a skinny jean person so these are fab!

Plazaz · 18/02/2010 00:00

So what's the alternative? Are bootlegs still good?

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 18/02/2010 00:34

my dd looks fantastic in hers with her jumper dress things, she is 15mnths and they are the height of practicality for her.

me id rather not even try tbh!

CheerfulYank · 18/02/2010 01:01

I still wear bootlegs and am resolved to never ever give them up. I don't care.

The only time jeggings look good is when covered with tall boots and a loooong top. Yes, the only time. Full stop. End of.

toodles · 18/02/2010 07:20

If as most of you say that they look good with long jumpers/tunics/dresses and long boots, what's the difference between jeggings and thick tights?

Personally I think they look vile but each to their own.

Earthstar · 18/02/2010 07:28

Even the net a porter model in the link looks awful
if they look dreadful on models what hope mere mortals?

Lunatic · 18/02/2010 07:35

Sorry - they suck. (sometimes literally with the "camel's toe")

Leggings should be banned

MmmSex · 18/02/2010 07:40

I look fine in them.

I have good legs, wear them with a mid thigh wool tunic thing.

YeahBut · 18/02/2010 07:44

My 10 year old who is very skinny.
Can't think of anyone else who looks good in them.

Botbot · 18/02/2010 09:04

I don't particularly mind the word 'jeggings' either. If you call them 'jeans with an elasticated waist', then they start to sound shit.

plantwoman · 18/02/2010 09:39

no

queenoftheslatterns · 18/02/2010 09:46

i love mine. i wear them with jumper dresses/knitted tunics and fake uggs/slouchy boots. the two pairs i have are dark denim though, the shade that is really flattering in normal jeans. but then i am very petite.

Lucky2010 · 18/02/2010 10:03

I love my jeggins and my leggins. I am a size 12 and have a bit of a post-baby belly but my legs are OK, so for me, to be able to wear something that accentuates my 'good' points and hide my belly with a long top, it's great and I feel good. I am well into my 30's . I only ever wear them with a long top though.

Lucky2010 · 18/02/2010 10:05

queens... glad I'm not alone. Mine are very dark blue too, so very flattering and I never expose my 'camels toe'......

JustMoon · 18/02/2010 10:41

I was 'forced' into buying some the other day as needed trousers without metal for a scan. I only had a lunchtime on my local high street to buy some and was dreading spending money on something so hideous - but actually they looked quite good! I wore them with chunky boots and a long jumper so didn't expose too much. I am 39, 5' 10" and a size 14. (now think everyone else will have been laughing at me).

My mum is 74 and wears them but she has fab legs!

JustMoon · 18/02/2010 10:42

oh yes they are dark blue not stone washed.

PorphyrophillicPixie · 18/02/2010 10:42

My friend wears them constantly when we go out with a jumper dress or long t-shirt. It looks terrible but she loves them

June2009 · 18/02/2010 11:14

sil looks great in them with some ugg boots and a long t-shirt and cardigan or a long jumper. She is very pretty though which always helps ;)
