Black long sleeved mini dress with a frilly collar.

my mums neighbour who is about 75 tries her wedding dress on every anniiversary

mum says it's like something out of a horror film

Hullygully · 05/01/2010 19:30

Mine was black shot silk with threads of gold woven into the bodice and I had moths in my hair.

OhForGodsSake · 05/01/2010 19:31

BambinolovesBeccie · 05/01/2010 19:32

OhForGodsSake · 05/01/2010 19:32

the thing is tha soon you can barely remember

and you dont really give a shit about other weddings either. went to one a while agoa dn the bride looked like every bride you ever see.

Hullygully · 05/01/2010 19:33

No, the designer was an acquaintance of mine and insisted it was essential for the authenticity of the piece. It was quite surreal, but as it was day time they were a bit dopy and largely stayed put.

OhForGodsSake · 05/01/2010 19:33

OH MY GOD

this is the best thread ever

SparrowFflamau · 05/01/2010 19:34

SparrowFflamau · 05/01/2010 19:38

your bridesmaid needed some of those nice wrist warmers on the other thread - the ones she is wearing will do nothing to keep her warm

Mermaidspam · 05/01/2010 19:38

@ Cybil

Guimauve · 05/01/2010 19:38

Maggie Sottero 'Yolanda', full ivory satin skirt with a bodice covered with deep red embroidered lace, with a flash of the same lace running down the skirt, and teeny weeny cap sleeves. Spotted a picture of it on eBay as one of these dresses made in China costing £10 only. Spent ages trying to track down the original until I eventually spotted that the photo location in the Maggie Sottero catalogue was the background on the eBay pic. Pics on profile.

squeaver · 05/01/2010 19:38

Oh God mine was horrible.

It was 1992.

Puffy sleeves with bows at the shoulders.

HUGE meringue skirt.

Bow at the back

And I had a perm.

I can hardly type for shame.
