NomDePlume · 05/01/2010 19:42

I have no idea what to do with mine. It lives in the top of the wardrobe. I didn't even bother to get it cleaned post wedding . It seemed mental to pay £100 to have it cleaned for it sit in mothballs a la Miss frigging Havisham for the next 70 years.

Cybilsmateboughthershoeboots · 05/01/2010 19:43

Mines never been cleaned either. Its more authentic that way when it turns up on The Antiques Roadshow in 2036

OhForGodsSake · 05/01/2010 19:43

i KNOW
why do people have them cleaned?
next bag in teh loft mate.
adn one show i went to said " have your bouquet made into a attarctive fire guard to keep forever"
no they are flowers ffs

I did know someone once who kept the top of hte cake decs

bluesuedepews · 05/01/2010 19:43

Guimauve · 05/01/2010 19:44

Yes, I know, Yolanda not a good name! Running out of ideas and trawling the far end of the alphabet.

Cybilsmateboughthershoeboots · 05/01/2010 19:44

NomDePlume · 05/01/2010 19:48

no christening. Cake went in the bin, total waste of money

MinkyBorage · 05/01/2010 19:49

oh god, I've tried and tried not to post on this thread but I loved my dress so much I have not been able to resist putting it on my profile!!!

traceybath · 05/01/2010 19:49

For actual wedding day wore a strapless knee length karen millen number - bargain £150.

For the hog roast 2 days later (when we had to invite 60,000 babies and children or you know what the parents say ) I wore a slinky black hatler neck number and a spraytan.

Gosh I was thin then . . .

NomDePlume · 05/01/2010 19:50

sorry, that read like I kept the cake and then there was no christening. I meant we chucked the wedding cake after the wedding and there was no christening anyway so saving it would have been a pointless exercise as we are heathens

traceybath · 05/01/2010 19:50

hatler - i meant halter

lambanana · 05/01/2010 19:56

oh bluesuedepews you beat me to it.

That pic never fails to make gasp out loud. She will have someone's eye out with those bad boys!

bebesequin · 05/01/2010 20:09

Jenny Packham butterfly dress just before it became hugely popular- loved it though and still try it on every anniversary
