Shallow I know, but Sarah Brown has appalling dress sense and a terrible figure.

I actually think she is a woman who probably spends most of her time thinking about more important stuff. i like the way she looks anyhow.

She does not have a great big belly. She has a lovely womanly figure.

The dress sadly does not make the most of her figure, but we have all made mistakes.

Most of us don't have their mistakes on the front page of the newspapers, thankfully.

ninah · 02/04/2009 18:20

I think he should divorce her and marry Cheryl of Girls Aloud

blouseenthusiast · 02/04/2009 18:20

"Makes a mockery of feminism"?

LauriefairycakeeatsCupid · 02/04/2009 18:21

She's wearing a suit in one photo and a navy British designer dress in another

how the fuck is that letting it all hang out ?

and how does that mock FEMINISM???

ninah · 02/04/2009 18:21

lite

Habbibu · 02/04/2009 18:21

Moondog - this thread makes a mockery of feminism. ffs - she's dressed in a smart suit. So you don't think it's perfect - so what? She's not out there in a tracksuit.

LauriefairycakeeatsCupid · 02/04/2009 18:22

I know the brand of feminism that would be ........

CUNTISHNESS

BonsoirAnna · 02/04/2009 18:22

It makes a mockery of feminism because it suggests that women have to look awful for their brains to be taken seriously.

Beautiful and intelligent is the real feminist way to go .

blouseenthusiast · 02/04/2009 18:23

I think it's the kind they practice on Hollyoaks...

I think that for a woman who's given birth to 3 children she looks good.

Habbibu · 02/04/2009 18:24

Oh, bugger off, Anna - men are allowed to be taken seriously in various degrees of attractiveness - so should women. And yes, presentable, appropriate, professional, I get it, and I get that you're taking the piss, but pw is there listening to people talking about maternal mortality rates - today, at the very leats, can this just not fucking matter?

Lizzylou · 02/04/2009 18:25

But Anna, most women aren't naturally beautiful and intelligent, they just aren't.
That's real life.
You can make the best of yourself (I don't think Sarah Brown does btw) but if you haven't got it, you haven't got it.

No matter how much you starve yourself or how may facials you get.

ByTheSea · 02/04/2009 18:25

I so hate the misogynistic DM!

Okay, both women could have worn more flattering clothes, but they are both fabulous, intelligent women and mothers so what does it really matter anyway.

ickletickle · 02/04/2009 18:27

i was appauled at this post, until i realised it was from a daily mail reader.

so moondog, you poor thing, i feel quite sorry for you, clearly your brain does not stretch enough for you to spend your time thinking about something slightly more interesting. tell me, is the daily mail an addiction, or do you not understand other newspapers. either way, i am sure there is some help you could get.

SB is a very attractive woman. It's a shame she doesn't look better. And it doesn't have to be a choicce beteen uber frum and vacuous clothes horse. There's a middle ground.

OP posts:
LauriefairycakeeatsCupid · 02/04/2009 18:28

and I think she landed on that middle ground

moondog · 02/04/2009 18:29

at Ickle.I read the Telegraph. Clicked on DM link on other thread as interested in what is going on and just arrived in another country with no tv.

OrmIrian · 02/04/2009 18:30

Poor woman! Not a good choice of clothing admittedly, but no need for all the nastiness. She looks attractive enough, she's made an effort and she has a nice smile. Why does anything else matter?

Horrible

Habbibu · 02/04/2009 18:30

Moondog is pretty bloody clever, and v. aware of what actually matters in the world, ickle. That's why I'm so riled by this thread.

BonsoirAnna · 02/04/2009 18:30

Oh come on, Sarah Brown looks vile.

I condede that if she were hosting a WI meeting in a provincial English town, her look would be quite acceptable.

Habbibu · 02/04/2009 18:31

Come on where, Anna? Why do you even care? What else has happened at the G20 to catch your attention?
